Awful experience. The wait for food was long and when it finally came my group of 4 were extremely disappointed. We all got avocado on toast, the bread was soggy, the avocado was pasty and out of a jar, the spinach and mushrooms were sloppy and tasteless. The poached egg was not runny. Very evident that minimum effort was put into the making of our meal.

It was really disappointing. I gave it 2 stars because I ate at the other branch before and was better. I had the Vegan Fry Breakfast. I would say avoid and never think of having it. The scramble Tofu was awful, I dont know how can you make so bad like that. It looks it was not cooked and only mixed up with loads and loads of turmeric. The sausages were horrible, there are a lot of different nice good tasting vegan sausages in the market. The one they use it so bad. I would suggest, if you are vegan dont try to eat there.

Made the mistake of downing the milkshake when I was thirsty. Very tasty, very heavy! This made me quite full. I had the bacon and brie wrap. Unusually I thought it had too much avacado inside of it, which overpowered the other flavours. However, overall I thought the food was very good and I would definitely return. Staff were friendly, but it was quite busy.

Only one waitress wearing a mask!! Everybody else acting like nothing is happening. I was calm until I saw them going in and out of the kitchen and EVERYBODY INCLUDING THE CHEF, with NO MASK ON. Not safe!!!Other than that, food was nice but honestly, no effort. My cheese had some kind of dust in it.

Horrible service. Got a burger which was supposed to have feta, spinach, jalapeno and hot sauce. Except there was none of them in it! When I brought it to their attention the girl said they were out of jalapenos lol and disappeared. Then I went to the billing and explained again and they took back the burger to fix it and came back a min later with the exact same burger with some hot sauce and jalapenos in it.Went in with lot of expectations- but got totally disappointed. Vegan Menu looks great on paper - the real deal is disappointing.

Treating my daughter to breakfast after her GCSE results at Maggie Mays was a big mistake! Ignored at door by waiting staff while waiting for a table. Eventually seated but had to wait for menus for an age which when came were grubby. Felt like leaving before even ordering!Ordered a filled soda with black pudding extra for £1. I had one tiny slice along with one small piece of bacon and one sausage. Ordered an Americano and milk came in a jug stained with coffee runs down the outside!

Im a food photographer who has travelled all over different parts of the world. We went there today and service was terrible, food was under and over cooked and also cold and dryed out. The staff hadnt a clue about table service it took them 6 times to bring us our right orders. The premises is in a great location facing Queens University but Im not sorry to say that we wont be back I actually got better food in my old school canteen. Guys shape up or ship out.

Maggie mays is easily one of the most overrated places to eat in belfast. Waited for a solid 35 minutes before our drinks or even food order was taken. Then waited another 30-40 minutes for our food to come out and my order was wrong. Took another lifetime to signal a member of staff over to get it sorted, to which i got shoulders shrugged at me and told “i’m an outside waitress”. Finally when i sent back my food it arrived wrong AGAIN. genuinely cannot believe that this is the standard in one of the most popular cafe restaurants in belfast. 2 members of my party ordered water and a can of fanta which both didn’t arrive until the second time i had to signal a waitress, about 2 hours into our time at Maggie mays.I can genuinely say that this place is not worth the hassle of waiting that long for some mediocre food.

I really enjoyed visiting this place, I have been twice and I want to go back! The Oreo Vegan Milkshake is divine !!! And they have a menu with good vegan options.....................................................................I would like to add new information: I went back to the place as I said in my first note, but unfortunately this time I didnt have a good experience. I was there in the end of September and I was waiting at the entrance as requested by the restaurant on a sign. The waitress with blue hair saw me and passed in front of me several times and ignored me, it was as if I wasnt there. She was free, she was not serving anyone. I waited for around 15 minutes and nothing. So, I left the place and I dont know if one day I will go back. I was extremely disappointed.

29/05/2021 arrived at 1008 and was seated by a young girl black hair was very polite. 12mins had gone and customers had came inside to ask for menus and we still had not been given menus or asked if you would like drinks. Finally got up and left but before went to the pay area and stated we had been sitting here 12 mins and girl with red hair and young fella walked past us multiple times looking at us but not stopping. This was an absolute joke of a service. She tried to blame I on being busy but was able to stand and chat with each other instead looking after those that are in to eat.

Maggie Mays is my favourite place to eat in Belfast. If only for the chocochino milkshake, which is too divine for words. The food is always great, the price is right, central University location, and the staff are the best. Staff in a restaurant that is always busy could be excused for being a little irritated at times but not so in Maggies. I have never had bad service. Everyone is pleasant and friendly and I believe it is because they are all happy to be there. A lovely chatty environment for a chill lunch. 10/10 for me.

Went on a Sunday morning (along with several other hungover people). The service was prompt and I didnt have to wait long for a table. Like their other location, the food was delicious and filling. Of course my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I ordered the belfast bap and the cheesy beans on toast. It was a lot of food and I could regretfully only eat half of each! Bonus: The manager/owner was there joking with diners, which made my experience delightful!
