Lovely afternoon tea.Nice selection of cakes and sandwiches.Quite quiet which was nice.
Fine china, homemade cakes and sandwiches and delicious loose leaf tea blends in a historic setting.
I really like the idea of this place and I’m sure many literature enthusiasts would of found it glorious. I enjoyed the very moment of going in to see a little role play to be then directed to the museum and cafe. The staff were friendly, and I think it’s a must experience place in Bath.Overall I was pleased, I just think they should have more variety and organise more room in the Tea Room.
Very nice place and its great to see such dedication in the atmosphere and with the staff dressed up to match the theme.China, cuterly, tea set all was very beautiful.Food was alright I had the Victoria sponge with a loose tea bag Earl Grey that was good.My friend had the scones with the Earl Grey as well but her scones was extremely dense.
Very good service friendly staff
A fun experience! I remember this place as one of my fave memories of visiting Bath. I had the Jane Austen blend. I hope to go back soon!
Good service and pleasant atmosphere. However, afternoon tea with Mr Darcy was poor value for money at almost £20 per head. 3 finger sandwiches, one scone with jam and cream, 3 tiny muffins and a pot of tea.
Easily the best tasting tea weve ever had! Delicious cakes and friendly staff. The decor is an amazing touch too. Well definitely be back 🙂
The environment was nice and the staff were lovely, but the scone was stodgy and the sandwiches were very lack luster. I left feeling like I could have eaten better from a convenient store.Definitely enjoyed the location, though. Maybe I just got a bad batch of sandwiches and scone?
Went for afternoon tea. Good atmosphere. Trio playing popular classical pieces which we enjoyed. The afternoon tea was delicious . A lovely salmon mousse plus sandwiches. Scones, cream and jam and a selection of cakes . I couldnt manage all the food and the waiter kindly put the remains in a box. The only downside for me was that the toilets couldve been a bit nearer the tea room.
Lovely tea room.. tasty food for afternoon tea really pleasant staff as well. The only downside was a service charge of £10 for a small group was steep considering how much we had spent already.. but I would visit again.
Food and service was great however tearoom was quite dirty. Floor and walls had splash marks on them and a chair at the table opposite had dried on liquid down the side.
Absolutely fantastic experience and beautifully served food and beverages. Divine teas, and delicious sandwiches and cakes.
Nice in principal, but a little shabby in places, could do with just a general clean round and fresh flowers on the tables would have made such a difference instead of artificial. Sandwiches were ok, just rather on the chunky side and unfortunately staff were not in anyway flexible with regards to an alternative drink... we were therefore charged for teas that we didnt have. Waitress did her best, but clearly they are struggling with funding which is a shame.
A lovely experience in the Regency Tea Room. Staff was very kind and friendly. Tea and cakes absolutely delicious.
The ambience is great, the waitresses are even dressed up in Jane Austen era clothing which adds a unique touch. The decor is lovely and there are little plaques with snips of interesting information.Unfortunately, we were brought something in excess of what we ordered. I couldnt eat any of the finger sandwiches given to us in error (due to allergies and fussiness - hence why we would never have ordered them) but my boyfriend ate them anyway as we thought perhaps they were included or we misread the menu. This did however mean that we were charged extra for something we didnt order.Just a bit of a warning to read what you order, just in case.
A wonderful time had by one and all beautiful food and even better tea.
Very nice! Tea with Mr. Darcy was lovely!
Awesome posh tea experience in Jabe Austen surroundings :)
Everything about the Regency Tea Room is just beautiful, I especially loved the music. The tea and scones are devine too 😊
Worse afternoon tea! Sandwiches were very poor quality and the cakes weren’t the best. Won’t go back again.
Very disappointed . looks shabby . crockery tea stained , cutlery stained. I dont think they have or use a dishwasher . would have been nice to have fresh flowers on the tables. afternoon food was ok but minimal and needed to go elsewhere later as I was hungry
Super experience. Pricey but great fun.
Beautiful place, nice service, perfect atmosphere. We ordered the afternoon tea with mr. Darcy and we loved it!!!I am very pleased that we have chosen this tea room.
Good enough for my Jane Austin moment .But the memories of the pump room are worth the higher price.
Excellent food and tea. Friendly service
Excellent tea and my chocolate cake was delicious. I just wish the service had been a little bit better, but I suspect that they were understaffed when I arrived.
You know youre in a negligent tourist trap when you cant even convince the staff to look your way when abandoning money after they havent brought you the bill for 20 minutes. We went because of the good reviews. But mediocre food and poor service. Youre a tourist therefore you dont get any respect.
Beautiful scones and great service.
Excellent. Had a delicious tea!
Set in the Jane Austen centre, I dont think you could be more quintessentially English if you tried
If you get a chance go this it is very interesting
Loved the cream teas.
Fantastic high tea with wonderful service
Townhouse setting for morning coffee and champagne afternoon teas, plus sandwiches and soups.
Delcious cream teas and friendly staff.
Everything was exelent
Fantastic
Beautiful tea room upstairs from the Jane Austen center (access is the same but it is not necessary to go through the museum, just go up the stairs of this intimate and pretty building). All obviously in regency style, including staff. Excellent quality-price relation. Place as already said small and intimate, so I imagine that in high season you have to wait a little. Very good the 2 we took (like a liter each). An experience to do really! For jane Austen lovers the picture with the portrait of Darcy / Colin Firth in the largest room is a must.
Very romantic setting. Afternoon tea with Mr Darcy was very good, quite filling and the price was right for the place. Very nice waitresses. We had a great time.
Always worth a visit when Im in Bath. I love it. Pure Jane Austen feeling. Delicious food and the best tea.
