As we say some things never has to be changed. The Gaondevi Mandir is one of the Prime Landmark and Temple to visit in Badlapur. The area has been famously known as Gaondevi because of the Temple. Since my childhood I have been seeing the Temple and Lake surrounding to it. People come here to worship the Devi and famously celebrate Gaondevi Jatra every year. The Lake adjacent to it is another landmark and great spot for hanging out. Im glad that the area has not changed much even after developing building surrounding to it.

Gaon devi mandir is an religious hindu temple. the place is having historical importance since the maratha empire period. some mythological lores says that the swayambhu murtis were formed and goddess amba and ambika took birth. this is a jagrut devasthan as ancient texts says.
