This is name sake bar. Poor, labourers, autorichshaw drivers etc use these places literally not bars. Locally made liquors are sold here. They charge Rs.10/- over and above the MRP prices illegally. This is only entertainment available for the poorest of the poor especially in Tamilnadu. These are Government of Tamilnadu run outlets. But these outlets are benami of local politicians. Some outlets are violating fixed sales timings of the Government under the influence of local politicians. Liquors are ordered from the breweries of politicians.
