CDA is a great dance studio. The owner Chantal has been amazing throughout our time there, especially during COVID. My daughter loves it there. She even has provided backyard dance classes to my daughter. She is enthusiastic, passionate and so caring to her students and families. Highly recommend this studio.
My daughters have been dancing at CDA since 2015. Love the family atmosphere and the positive attitude of the owner and all of the staff. My kids love to go to dance and they have recently enjoyed virtual classes! Always engaging, inclusive and balanced. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
Just wanted to share an experience with a local business!3 years ago my son took an intro to Ballet Class at CDA Dance Inc.Fast forward to today after a three year absence, he decided to try out their Level 1 jazz/Acro class tonight. He had an amazing time BUT why Im sharing this experience is because I was super impressed with what they have going on.They have a safety video explaining their COVID protocols. They have small class sizes, choosing safety first. The Jazz/Acro class is only six kids! They have social distance spaces for each dancer and even protocols of how to safely exit while giving space to other. Also, their hand sanitizer at the entrance also takes your temp.Im going to be signing my son up for their classes! They have moved though! They used to be in Cynthias plaza but they are now on Don Hillock, just south of Wellington.
Owner removed my 3-year old daughter from the academy because we questioned her practice of cancelling an entire class with only 2 hours notice of the first session. The class was confirmed to start via email only a few days prior. Owner is also passive aggressive in her communications.Volunteers do not have any consideration for people who are not “part of the family.”I suggest you take advantage of the free trials offered at almost any dance academy and ensure you are choosing the best school for your child.I do not recommend Chantal’s Dance Academy Dance Academy (CDA Dance Academy).
My daughter loves dancing at CDA. Everyone at the studio is so supportive and friendly.CDA has gone above and beyond the last few months to ensure the dancers can keep dancing virtually during Covid.
Small business with questionable practices. They only see dollar signs and do not care about students. The instructors are mostly miserable teenagers who can dance but have very little professional teaching experience. Do not waste your money. It is not worth it. The clients get trapped because they cannot get their money back once the classes pass the second week. Your money is gone whether you attend or not. Do not let them add your credit card number to their computer system.
My girls had an amazing week of dance camp this summer and love the dedication and support of the teachers. They have also made lots of friends (the sleepover was an amazing bonding experience!) We are looking forward to this dance season 😊
Very discouraging experience from the instructor and owner. The owner sees mostly dollar signs and not students.Attended first class that was led by an inexperienced teenager that showed little regard to me or my daughter.Highly inappropriate and dangerous exercises. Other students were 4 years older than the class assigned age and thereby older than my daughter. Owner dismissive and disrespectful. Did not respond to emails and refused to refund “admin” fee of $60, even though we have not technically taken part in a single class. We were never offered a trial class.Very dollar oriented owner. There are far superior alternatives in the area.Stay away.
My Daughters have been Dancing with CDA for 13 (16 year old) and 2 (5 year old) years. The teachers are very knowledgeable and fair. They treat each student with respect. Students with Disabilities are never singled out on discriminated. I Love this studio and everyone in it as if they were my family.
My grandfather had a blast for her 4th birthday party here. Highly recommend this place. The girl at the front counter was bubbling with enthusiasm. Such a welcome breath of fresh air.
My daughter is 4 and she loves dance day. She has been so sad since Covid came and stoped us from going to the dance studio CDA. She was so excited when she was aloud to do dance outside with mrs Chauntel. Mrs Chauntel has been amazing through all of this and has gone out of her way to make sure the kids still got to dance. She has helped out parents through Covid and made sure the kids could still dance! We love CDA we love mrs Chauntel and all the dance teachers!Shannon
This studio is simply amazing. Everyone is so kind and sweet. The teachers are so fun and they dont consider them co-workers, they are family. Dancing at CDA is certainly fantastic.
My daughter started dancing at CDA when she was 5. She has now been on the competitive team for 5 years. I wouldnt take her to any other studio. Chantal and all the teachers are fantastic. My daughter has made so many wonderful friends here. They truly are a family.
I’m recently decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new, but I can’t seem to get them to email me about the program, and now they won’t answer or return my calls. Why is this? Only thing I can really think of is maybe possibly cause I’m a guy? I don’t know I will keep trying.
We started at CDA 5 years ago and have nothing but very best impressions and amazing experiences with this studio. Great teaching staff is just incredible. We feel like a part of a big and friendly family. And the main : for our daughter its not just a dancing place - its where she enjoys to be !!!
I prefer everyone learns to dance at home with workout DVDs.
We switched to CDA recently from another local studio because of scheduling conflicts and our 13 y/o daughter has been actively welcomed with open arms... We were a bit nervous because the reputation of intensity that CDA’s comp team has, but our daughter has flourished in the studio and the comp season experience has been nothing but 100% positive, w supportive teammates and coaches. Our daughter has improved dramatically in just a year training at CDA, all the while having fun with new friends. Highly recommended.
I have been dancing at CDA for 13 years and it has been a great experience. My sister also dances at this studio. It’s my second family and it’s a wonderful studio with wonderful teachers.
This is an amazing studio to grow your love of dance at. The people here are really nice and are a great family.
This is my 2nd year with CDA and its been a wonderful experience. My daughter has been taught not only dance skills but has been welcomed into a beautiful family. She has gained the ability to appreciate herself, other team mates and other dance studios.
Totally loved my experience in this dance studio. Helpful staff, amazing dance trainers and a fun-filled environment that makes your full day!
They won the 2018 Top Choice Award for their excellence in the pursuit of top customer satisfaction and that equals to hundreds of great service reviews! Their passion to teach dancing to their city is obvious when looking to how many people voted them their Top Choice Dancing services in Autora Newmarket Ontario Canada!
My daughter has been dancing at CDA for 4 yrs. She loves Chantal and all the teachers which are all very friendly. She looks forward to going to her dance classes.
The dancers were Quite disrespectful and unprofessional at the competition they were majour sore loosers curio was good though but 4 of the dancers had kicked our seats and had trash talked and had attitude towards my daughters and many others from various studios we ask if they could refran from this behaviour thank you.
Not impressed, it was “Delightful” to have my seat kicked. I am defenentally NOT taking my daughters Kyla and jada to this studio.
My daughters had a birthday party at CDA and it was without a doubt, the best party they have ever had. All of their friends and their parents were thrilled with the experience. We were lucky enough to have Chantel run the party and her energy and enthusiasm made it very special. The facility itself is remarkable and worth a visit. Two story dance studio with kitchenette, large open, high ceiling dance spaces with fun, inspiring graphics and an atmosphere of inclusion and welcome make it an all around amazing experience. Both of my girls, entered the Triple Threat Program about a month after their birthday in January. I have to tell you, it brings tears to my eyes thinking about the confidence that they gained in themselves and the pure joy of the arts that has blossomed in them under Chantel and her teams excellent tutelage. They dance, sing and act all the time in the house and cant wait to do it again. It is a balanced, measured and welcoming approach to exposing and teaching young people all of the arts, drama, dance and vocal. The final production had professional lighting, a massive stage and a sound man and sound company providing incredible production. It felt like we were watching a professional show which was videotaped allowing us to experience it over and over again at a very high level. Thank-you for enriching our lives with your passion and talents Chantel
Very family friendly atmosphere..its like dancing with no one watching
THEY DID NOT LET MY SON PARTICIPATE IN WEARING THE LEGGINGS
Cause fi glam dances here!!!
