Tom yum soups (goong & tofu) were full of flavour. Fried Snapper was amazing, loved it. Fried rice and noodles were alright, will visit again to try lamb shank...

Consistently good quality food and service to match. Sizeable parking at the back is very helpful, especially during busy time. Highly recommend for dinners. BYO welcome too.

Ordered from uber eats. Pretty ok. Pricewise would cost $60 for 3 dishes if without uber eats discount. Delivery is fast.

Went for dinner date with my girlfriends on Saturday. The restaurant was packed but we booked the table in advance so managed to get a pvt space in the cornerwith a huge table. :) Its BYO which was great. Food was decent generous portion size. Service was quick. Highly recommend!

I would recommend you going there. Its a great place, the only problem is that when a big group of people go they take ages to get your food ready even if you pre-order and they give you all your foods turn by turn, but they are supposed to give it altogether so that everyone can eat as a family instead of people watching whilst others are eating. Other then that its a great place would definitely recommend. 👍

I’ve been going to Manee Thai for a couple years now and it’s consistently amazing every time. The staff are always so kind and I love how they remember regulars orders like my crazy request of no coriander and extra lemons and they’re always so accommodating.The food hits every time so delicious and quick.Definitely would recommend going after this lockdown if you want to experience great Thai food.

Awesome service and great atmosphere, the food was good, fish cakes were terrible, fish was good but not great like most other Thai restaurants, the spice dont really go well with the sweet and sour sauce IMO but still good place.

Ambiance is nice, service is nice, food is good but be careful with the spices, I would say their medium is towards the higher side. Sufficient parking at the back which will leads into the restaurant it makes the trip very convenient as this location is usually very busy. Check the menu and prices t has something for everyone from kids to adults. You can book the space for the events. They close after lunch and reopen for dinner.

Came here for Father’s Day dinner.The interior is strongly characterised by a fusion of Roman, Indian, British and Thai vibes.We ordered Fried Rice, Fried Egg Noodles, Whole Deep Fried Snapper, Red Duck Curry, Green Curry with Chicken, Sweet and Sour Stir-Fry, Prawn Sashimi and Stir-Fry Prawn.Food was slow to come out and portions were unexpectedly small. Flavour-wise there was nothing special, none of the dishes really had any punch or wow-factor worth commenting on.Personally the fried rice was a highlight, strong earthy flavours. Everything else were similar in taste.They also forgot about our deep fried whole snapper, so we waited another 10 minutes or so for it.The bill came to $177 and some of us left only 50% full. I think going to Zap on the opposite might be better bang for your buck.Food: 6/10Price: 6/10Ambience: 8/10Service: 7/10

BUGS and an owner with zero compassion!I have held off on posting this review and images for some time now, as I had left this matter with the local Council/Food Safety department to handle.Visit 1 - End of 2019Half way through our dinner service, we had bugs bouncing around the table with some jumping onto our plates. When we informed staff, the manager, Skye, was quick to blame it on us and said we left a window/shutter open that had left the bugs in... What she didnt realize was that the bugs were actually living in the light fixture above the dining table - see attached video. Dinner ended, and now it was time to settle the bill. Skye as well as Manee (owner) showed zero care for the bug encounter, offered ZERO compensation until we questioned it. I vaguely recall we did not pay for one main, and a bowl/plate of rice.Visit 2 - 21/03/2021I was invited to a family dinner with 14 others at Manee Thai lastnight. I did not raise any of the matters above, as it was some time ago and with councils intervening I was relatively confident things would be fine, what would be the odds of that happening again? VERY high apparently.We had a set course menu @ #35 p.p, which was discussed with Skye over an email. The confirmed menu (which clearly stated no beef meals) was NOT passed onto staff on service that night which raised a quantum of errors/confusion with food that arrived at our table. When questioned, one staff said it was beef whilst the other said it wasnt. As you can imagine this was not handled well by the family. In addition to this, the soup (Tom Kai Gar) had a bug in it.... They offered to replace this but we declined and decided to cut our dinner short. Note that fried rice mains were not served (part of the set menu).Upon settling the bill, Manee (owner) said she would remove the soups and fried rice from the bill - fair. However, she decided to break away from the set menu and charge us on a plate by plate basis which was actually very cunning - we had no time for more dramas so we paid and left. We were disappointed in the professionalism of the owners - the waitressing staff were actually much better to deal - - and we left on a negative note. Mannee was cheeky enough to say Manee Thai #1 Restaurant do try us again! as we walked out.Absolutely DO NOT recommend.

Food quality and quantity is just superb! been here a few times for dinner but they are seeming to fall badly in their timing. The food is taking way too long to be served. They need to pick up and organize around dinner bookings.

Attitudes of the staff need to change, food is average now unfortunately, waitors need to start taking orders quick, and chefs need to have a better plan. We waited with our children to have our orders placed but nothing, left to go to a different restaurant. Appalling

Nice restaurant. I love that we got to sit in a private area. The food was great, although the banana split reminded me of a kids party desert. Other then that. It was great.We were so loud but they didnt kick us out. Also ended up staying half an hour later. Thank you so much.

The soup was tasteless. Rest of the food delicious .Gave them my honest feedback on the soup and I do t think they liked it . We have been visiting this restaurant for over a year. They have an attitude problem and I don’t think they like feedback . Good luck to them . They lost a regular customer .

Bought the sizzling platter at $28 and it was tasteless and the beef was chewy.Chicken nibbles had no taste and kept giving off an ammonia smell.Sizzling lamb platter had more fat then lamb.Braised beef brisket was decent but came in a coconut curry which wasn’t mentioned on the menu.The worst Thai restaurant I’ve visited in Auckland.With that aside, servings are large, service is quick, nice seating area, good sized menu, free parking behind building, good range of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails/mocktails.

Manee Thai has always been me and my partners favourite dine in restaurant. Weve been there 4 times and the food was always outstanding and delicious! Most importantly its halal. I love their tomyum talay so much. Most places when i ordered tomyum seafood they just put instant crab meat, fish balls, fish cakes and other artificial seafood but in Manee thai they give real seafood in it (fish, mussels, prawns, squids) which has become my must-order meal everytime i drop by. I also had beef Pad thai noodle and fish with veges in garlic and pepper. It was incredibly awesome.

The owner is so lovely but tonights service was very poor. My first time eating at this restaurant. My friend is a regular and loves their food. We waited 1.5 hours for our food (entree). The waitress didnt give us napkins, cutlery which was annoying. We had to walk to the reception many times to get napkins, cutlery etc. Waiter forgot to give me my drink which I ordered. Not 1 waiter told us how long the wait would be which is frustrating. The entree was good, my friends chicken meal was ok. My sizzling beef was appalling. It wasnt sizzling like other peoples were. I sent it back because the beef had a undercooked texture. After more waiting it came back to me but after a few bites it just didnt taste like anything. My friend who has had this beef dish many times said tonight it tasted very different, very bland. At the end the waiter didnt realise they charged me for a drink I never received. The bartender was quite rude and interrupted me asking for a comments card to one of the waiters. This shows she doesnt really care about a genuine flaw in their service which is a shame for a restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant if youre a first timer like me. My friend whos a regular even said they are going downhill with their food, service and wait times. DO NOT COME HERE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT. A table of 4 waited at least 30 mins then left. So people at other tables did leave.

Large plates of nicely presented tasty food. Very dark interior with many festive lights think it would be lovely to go there mid winter nice attentive staff and food arrived quickly. Large seating area and as always in larger places there was a group having their end of year celebration and acting as if they owned the place...some people have no cafe or restaurant ettiquite. Nice greeting on arrival and on exiting. Staff and owners keep up the good work.

One hour wait for dinner.Unbelievable.Said 40 minutes.But ONE HOUR IT TOOK.

Extremely poor non-existent customer service. We went for dinner on 5th April 2021 and despite being seated for 40 minutes were not attended to once despite sitting right in front of the bar. We were given a drink menu when we were seated but they never came to take our order or to give us a food menu. We decided to leave due to no service and go eat at the restaurant across the road. Extremely disappointed will not be retuning.

Went for anniversary dinner. Food was amazing,we ordered whole snapper, pad thai and sizzler. Everything was superb . The only thing that made us disappointed was too much serving time,waited almost 45 mins.

This place has taken the number one spot on my list. Amazing restaurant, best of all is that it is halal and their food is amazing. Before booking seats, I read through the story and was really touched. It was really awesome seeing the mother and daughter work their magic on a busy night and still remained calm. Hats off to the Chef, one in a million. Will definitely keep visiting and will highly recommend this to all my friends and family:).

Went here for our Christmas work function on Saturday. We had to choose the set menu as there were 20+ people. Our booking was for 7.30 , the service was so poor that our food only started to come out at 9.20 pm We had given the numbers 1 week in advance so this delay is unacceptable. Also the servings of food was small definitely not worth the price charged per person. We asked for extra rice with never came. Contacted the Resturant but have had no response from them. Overall a very disappointing experience from the service, food, and communication. Wont be returning.

Placed an order via uber eats at 8pm tonight. The meal prep was delayed which meant I received my delivery (at 9.20pm 🤦‍♀️).When my meal arrived I was missing an item, and the wrong meat was used. This is my first time ordering from this restaurant, but because there were so many errors for a simple meal, Im reluctant to use them again.

Confusing décor with with its polarising colours in a dark setting. However, besides its odd look, uncomfortable chairs and lacking customer service. The mains were something that would get me coming back... For take out ofcourse
