I just got a takeaway after 5 weeks of lockdown and was really looking forward to it. The naan bread was old and chewy like rubber and cold and the chicken tikka masala was mainly tomato sauce with chilli, not very tasty. Very disappointing and $28 I won’t be going back

From the catering to the management of seating people, it was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was so friendly yet professional.I would love to thank (manager/owner) for carrying out all details of the night flawlessly and ensuring that the guests needs were met and that the staff were well managed. Your service was definitely fantastic and i would definitely recommend this place to anyone whom is looking for awesome service and friendly management to host their family or friendly events/occasions. You are definitely able to trust these folks in carrying out your needs/requirements to ensure you are satisfied with your night.

This restaurant really isnt up to par. They were fantastic when we first started visiting six or seven years back, but like a lot of restaurants the quality dropped over time. This is no exception as on our most recent visit several weeks back, I ordered a Murgh Makhani which for those of you who dont know is indian style butter chicken. I have had this dish on more than several occasions but this time it was full of bones. I have no idea why this was the case as I did not ask for it, and I noticed these guys were charging way more than the Botany branch. The cheese naan I ordered was also not the greatest.In the past when I have ordered from them, we have had issues with the quality - mainly the freshness. So even if they have changed their menu to include bones, this still does not excuse the fact that they are average at best.________________________________________REPLY TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: Regarding your prices, fair enough. However, I have attached a screenshot from Menulog and it does not indicate that there are bones in the Murg Makhani. I know you do not run Menulog but this still should have been correct.I still stand by what I said regarding the quality of the food. It could be a lot better, and my wife and I have experienced this on several occasions when ordering from your restaurant. This is especially noticeable with takeaway orders as opposed to dining in. She has found a bone in vegetarian meals that she has previously ordered on more than one occasion, which she also previously posted a review about. The freshness and consistency still isn’t really meeting our standards, which by the way are normal. Another thing, both your branch and Botany have a habit of giving the customer a specified wait time on takeaway orders only for it to take much longer. Please just be straight up front.

The food is really good, but the prices changes everyday. The chicken 65 was $17 yesterday and today it has gone up to $19.

Food and service was really good. Just a little disappointed with the cocktails. Screwdriver tasted like orange juice and Mojito had a glass full of ice cubes, though they gave another mojito without ice after being unhappy with the taste. Can do much better in drinks!

Weve eaten here/had takeout from here several times and the food is always delicious! They let you choose your spice level which is great! In my opinion, the levels tend to err on the more spicy side, so Id suggest picking a lower spice level if youre on the fence between two options.

Ordered butter chicken. Its taste like tomato chicken and tasted terrible. I rarely post a negative review for Indian restaurants as most of them know how to make a half decent butter chicken dish but this was just terrible. Seriously not worth it.

Food is expenssive and teste is also not that great. Butter chicken was like tomatoe paste too swear..

Indian Accent on Lunn ave has become another home for for us when it comes to our preferred Indian dining. Great food of course, wide menu choices, an extensive bar menu with an inviting ambience and a super friendly customer service always happy to accommodate any special request we may have. We recently requested a special made to order dish (out of the menu) “Chicken Tambora” made it to a medium to hot spice level was an absolute tounge tingler when had it with the chilled kingfisher on tap. Not to miss our few other favourites “Tawa Rara Chicken” “Tawa Aloo Gobhi” “garlic chilli Naan” “Chicken Hakka Noodles”. Special Thanks to the chef and the team at Indian Accent on Lunn Ave for satisfying our taste buds completely with such delicious food.

Terrible service especially from the waitress who acted as though she couldnt get out of there fast enough. We also waited an hour for food when there were only 2 other tables of people. Ordered an eggplant curry, a butter chicken, and a lamb biryani. The lamb biryani was nice, the eggplant curry was okay (couldnt taste the eggplant at all) and the butter chicken was downright terrible - I could even make a better one at home! The butter chicken was sour - it was like someone had tipped a can of tomatoes into the dish and called it the sauce. It was not creamy at all. Will not be coming back.

DELICIOUS: Has to be the BEST mango chicken I have ever had in Auckland! The garlic Naan was great too.Great service! Friendly staff. Only took them 8minutes to cook my food. No muck around. I WILL BE BACK! 😊

We ordered takeaway last night. The paneer was very hard and not fresh at all, gave me a stomach ache. The naan was very stale too, looks like it had been lying outside since a long time. Normally their food is great and we order it at least once a month. But very disappointed from what we got yesterday.

Yesterday I went to Indian Accent restaurant mt Wellington. I had ordered vegetarian food and the food was so tasty. At that time restaurant was busy though they provided quick and excellent service. The staff I was served by was all rounder the name of staff was Shamandeep and even though she was looking towards many tables she was working very well.

A nice restaurant and bar for small to a medium group. Wont recommend for family with kids. Food is good but it is but expensive. Can be hard to find a car park during evening and on weekends.

Came by for lunch to try it out. It wasnt bust so we were warmly greeted and seated. It wasnt hard to get their attention when we were ready to order. Although the normal menu was there they also had a lunch menu which had cheaper prices and sets.I had the prawn briyani. The rice was cooked perfectly and the spices and heat were just right for me. Dad had the curry set which came with rice and naan.The food was delicious and the portions were decent, as was the service.

Visited Indian accent yesterday and the service was awesome. The girl named shaman served us really nicely with a smiling face and lovely nature.The food was very tasty but the service was impressive. Will love to visit again.

Ive eaten here and got take away numerous times and the food is always so yummy and satisfying.Their chicken biriyani and Afghani chicken Tikka is just fantastic.They are a bit on the pricy side and the takeaway portions are not that huge, but you cant fault the taste. So if your a big eater or have many mouths to feed you have to decide whether cost or quality is priority.Downgrading to 4 stars. Ordered Indo-chinese chicken fried rice. FYI- you do not put cauliflower and add heaps of tomatoe sauce to the rice to make it red. Schezwan sauce, lots of egg and chicken with onions,beans and carrots...thats all.

Yummy Indian meal but it took 30min until our food came out. 6:30pm. Friday evening. We were one of the only tables there... why so slow?

Poor service.Ordered at 6:30pm with only two other tables in the restaurant.By 7:30pm we’d only had our entree.Family of 5 walked in after us, all meals served before us.Charged us $98 for a shared platter, two drinks and two curries. Rather pricey for a sitting room where others eat around us while we wait.Their justification for the time frame was they didn’t start cooking our mains until after they had cleared the entrees. I find that a bit ridiculous. The entree should be cleared and followed by the mains, not a 30 intermission like we had. Will never be coming back here.A big fat zero out of 10 from me.

Useless. We came in today and got our orders taken at 1.20 pm, asked about our food at 1.50 pm and was told it would be ready within 5 minutes and then the server came out with the wrong food and didnt apologize. Proceeded to wait another few minutes whilst the waitress smirked as she knew and saw that wed been waiting for 35 minutes for our food and was running late to return back to work. Avoid this place like covid.UPDATE: We werent advised of any waiting times. We were on a lunch break during work hours so of course had we been informed of wait times, we wouldnt have stayed. You guys cant take criticism based on your replies to your other reviews and just make excuses. The restaurant wasnt even that busy.

Dine-in, you will be served all together, have advice based on your tastes and a lovely environment.Takeaway/delivery is really fast, same quality of menu items, AND if you order more than once, they put effort in remembering you to give you a special service.Personal recommendation: their eggplant dish. We had a booked dinner for eight on this Saturday evening. The ambience and the décor of the restaurant are soothing and pretty impressive. The tables are well-spaced, no way you can hear what the people on next table are talking …Wow enough of breathing space !.Was acknowledged within minutes of seating and orders taken very promptly. Great authentic Indian food! Our first visit to this place and we left very impressed. Ample parking right outside the restaurant leaves you with no excuse for any negative. Superb service from all waiters, food was exotic, and billing was reasonable. Absolute fabulous fine dining! Couldn’t think of any negative anywhere. Keep it up guys!

My partner and I often ate at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff always gave us a very warm welcome and paid a lot of attention to detail. We missed out on our last meal there before we moved home to Ireland, which was regrettable. Thank you to the staff for wonderful service and food.

UPDATE: our work group just came back here for lunch and it was supurb. It does take quite a long time still, but its just to prepare it. We all shared our curries so we could try one of everything since the lunch menu allows you to choose one main style then get a naan with it. The garlic or cheese naanw are super soft and on point.

Samosas with tamarind sauce were great! However, the customer service when I went to pick them up was an outright disappointment. Entered the store, young lady at the counter looked at me, and instantly put her head down as if she didn’t want to serve me. Lack of communication as I went to pay & I felt very unwelcome. Customer service is everything - improvement needed thanks :)

Wonderful experience today. Everything was very yummy starting from the starters(chicken 65, tandoori chicken) to the mains (including dal makni, chicken rarha, chilli chicken, missi roti and naans) and mango kulfi (delicious) . Their customer service was great and thanks to the Chef for such a tasty food.Thank you.

We recently organised a private event for about 80 people, at Indian Accent Mt Wellington and were blown away by the hospitality and standard of service. The owner is very understanding and accommodating and organised the event exactly as per our requirement. The food is Indian authentic and there is a great range of vegetarian options - their CHAAPs are must try!! Once again thanks to the team for hosting us.

Food isnt that bad, but too expensive for what it is worth. I dont mind paying high price for good food, for an average food high price wont work for me.

Best Indian food in Auckland, absolutely delicious. Great bar too with an excellent range of drinks, perfect accompaniment for a hot curry. Friendly service and not a long wait on food.

We were her two weeks ago for our staff Christmas dinner and were well taken care of.The staff was very accommodating and the food was really good.10/10 will go again.

Dined in for dinner last night . Very disappointed . Ordered butter prawns and it tasted like tomato soup with a few dry prawns.The naan breads are tiny. My partner ordered kadai chicken medium and it was far to spicy.

What a lovely place, service was great the meal was just as good, if I had been hungry could have tried a lot more from their menu. Very satisfying and cost was reasonable. Will definitely go back.

For the prices being charged I feel there are better options out there. Most of the dishes were quite average taste wise.Edit : I was referring to North Indian style resteraunts when I said that there are better options out there. You always know a lot about a resteraunt with the way they take on feedback. The fact youre defensive and havent asked what was wrong with the food shows me your not interested in improving for future customers.

Been going here with my partner for about a year now almost once every week! The butter paneer and palak paneer are the best.

Succulent and delicious kebabs, especially the Barra kebab. Good service and fine ambience.

Absolutely delicious food, plenty of vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. My favourite are the paneer dishes. The staff are incredibly professional and friendly and my family and I have been coming here to dine regularly since they opened. Highly recommended.

I visited the restaurant for lunch but went for the regular menu so as to get a bigger portion, which was quite generous. I cant vouch for authenticity but my chicken curry was very enjoyable, with nice spices and flavour, and without excessive salt or sugar. The naan bread with butter was also great. Service is extremely welcoming and family friendly and I enjoyed the visit. Pricing is a tad on the expensive side. Weve since been a few more times and the experience has been great!
