Food was awesome but due to heavy rush..they cant handle the customer properly..

We dropped by for lunch to find that the place has dining only outside due to the pandemic . We went outside and were greeted by a rude captain. They serve everything on disposable plates which is good. Food was super average and the service was saddening . Highly unrecommended.

Awww. I loved this place. This was my first time here. I loved how they arranged their outdoor dine in which is definitely ‘your favourite food with a view’ we had a great experience here. Who wouldn’t love to have your food with a breeze. 😋The staffs are extremely polite and helpful. I forgot his name who served us. But he was too good. I felt like home.Definitely gonna come again.Forgot to mention about the food. It was too good. We ordered 10 appam and naadan chicken curry and egg roast , ghee roast , watermelon juice, and tea. I felt appam was too thin. But other than that everything was good.

Salkara is probably the most established and professional medium range restaurant chain in Kerala. They serve good food at a reasonable price range. Some of their food items like Fish Mango Curry are unparalleled. Their Appam is probably the best you get in any restaurant.Saying all these, their food has flaws. I had a terrible experience once buying an overpriced Alfam which was terribly small in quantity. But still, Salkara is a restaurant you can take your friends for a reliable kerala food experience.Two days back I had their seafood meal for 260 INR. Was worth every penny.

Absolute location for international travelers, there was a shortage of good restaurants earlier.Parking is bit problem.I felt sad in two things1) table service staffs and table cleaning staffs do not cover their head. Why I state here? I got hair from my food..2) some table service staffs are cleaning table at rush time. I request you to do not allow this.Food wise good.

Decent pace. The food quality is also good, not anything out of the world. Its good option for a hungry vegetarian customer who are getting out/in to COCHIN Airport.Easily accessible from highway.Was surprised with quantity of Tea.Really big cup, which is very unusual

Great food and great taste. The restaurant offers most cuisines with the authenticity preserved. Not just another namesake restaurant. Overall its very cheap compared to the ambience and the food taste, right outside of Cochin Airport.

Considering the pandemic situation restaurant was over crowded without following protocol.They have arranged outdoor dining facility in the limited available space. Food was good,however it took so much time for the staffs to clean the table.

We went for breakfast today with my family and was really happy with the food .. the appams were really soft and gullible.. I normally don’t like appams from outside because they are normally either made with gelatine or it tastes too much of yeast.. but this was really soft and tasty… we had heard the chicken stew was awesome but got over by the time we reached there .. so settled for nadan chicken curry… it was good too. Kids loved the ghee roast. We had to wait a while for our food as it was heavy rush there We had tea, coffee and filter coffee.. they were good too . Overall happy with the place. Would suggest for people who are travelling via NH esp families with kids ..

Had visited this space when we were travelling to Kochi from Kannur.Visited just because it was near when we were checking out restaurants to eat nearby in that area which we were passing.Had a slight confidence that it wouldnt be bad as it is from Paragon Group.Didnt put us down.The food was really good and we really liked the Chemmeen Choru.Sad that Pothi Choru was over by the time we reached.The dining was made possible outdoor due to restrictions then.But was properly kept and was clean.The wash area was super clean. 5 stars for that. It is highly appreciable to find a clean toilet in such a crowded restaurant.The spot easily noticeable as it is left to the CIAL entrance. Cant miss the building whichever way you come from.Definitely try out the daily specials.

Customer friendly and high level satisfaction in both quality and quantity

Salkara restaurant is one of the branches of the Salakara group of restaurants under Calicut Paragon group. It is located right at the road that starts towards the Cochin International Airport. The ambience is ok with lots of space inside. The food isnt that great when compared to the Calicut hotels. Staff are very professional and helpful. There is parking space available both to the front and side of the restaurant.

Five stars for Salkara for the endurance of taste and quality of their selections in menu. From the renowned Paragon group their commitment to taste quality and cleanliness maintaining with nicely trained staff really needs admiration. I had been to all their restaurants in Kerala and abroad ( including Salkara and Paragon ) it will not make you unhappy and compromised in terms of quality and taste. We can recommend this to anyone with out any unpleasant comments in return. Good work keep it up 👍

What we had was AlFaham which was juicy and just okay. Came along with it the rotis, completely dipped in ghee. Food may be good here but the service has to really improve. One of the guy took away my plate when i was still having the food.Ofcourse they got a large space, can occupy families and large groups, but found nothing that justifies their high rates. Maybe its because of the Paragon group. There is no much ambience or theme to it, just some tables and chairs.

Very good place for all Kerala authentic and traditional food

Price is kinda high for the quality and quantity standard they provide.

I would highly recommend this place especially during this pandemic time.They sanitize the tables and surroundings are super clean.Quantity and quality of food is excellent just like other paragon ventures. Last time we visited we tried their biriyani , appam , paneer butter masala and karimeen pollichath.Paneer butter masala was a bit disappointment , but the remaining items were good.Recently they have also started accepting UPI payments as a contactless payment method.edit as of 25 March , 2020 :My last 2 visits was really bad. We could not finish the food ordered. Always double check with the waiters when you tend to order their fish mango and fish moly. Neither was impressed with beef kanthari and beef ribs.

Paragons very own restaurant near Cochin airport. It is situated at Athani on the airport junction with vast parking for almost 50 cars.Authentic malabar menu with mouthwatering dishes. As usual other than biriyani, expect a waiting time of 15 to 20 minutes for serving.Very neat and clean place for family outing, get together, birthday party etc.

The food was great. We tried their special kanthari beef roast and it was lip smacking good. The price is also normal.

I visited this hotel which is near to the cochin airport on 14th December. The staffs are friendly. We could see the covid related arrangement being taken care by the staffs.The overall food costing is reasonable with best taste I could experience in kerala.One should definitely try and taste this foods experience.

Ordered the Appam & Fish Moly on the recent visit and was pleased by the quality and thickness of the curry, as well as the nicely toasted porottas & Salakara Special Chicken Curry, thick slices of ripe vegetables and a wonderful Sulaimani which accompanied it. The side of fresh vegetables was also generous and perfectly ripe. A very good experience!

Due to covid pandemic,only parcel service is available. The food was extremely good. I just loved it. The way of treating a customer is something that should be mentioned, especially the staff named Nandakumar. I was with my family inside the car. He showed no hesitation to come there and take the order. He managed to deliver the food as soon as possible. I am totally satisfied with the food and their service

This here is from the newest outlet @salkararestaurant which opened on the way to Cochin International Airport. What a right choice of location i would say! Visited the place twice and both the times it was packed :) nothing new when it comes to Paragon group of hotels i guess 😁 they somehow manages to attract both youngsters and elderly with their delicious menu and impeccable service. Salkara here as an interesting menu which is different from their other restaurants. You definitely got to checkout their menu for some mouthwatering inventions 😃

A Paragon group restuarant needs no review. Delicious dishes are guaranteed. This branch of Salkara also meets the same standards. Whether its the Paneer Grilled Kanthari or the Fish Mango Curry its just lip smacking good. Even simple Tea here tastes refreshingly different.However I would request management to look into wait times as well. Many times the wait times dampen the experience, especially for takeouts. Pricing is on the heavier side too. Hope they introduce price friendly portions.

Yesterday I just visit SALKARA RESTAURANT in ATHANI. And I had Thalapakatti chicken Biriyani.. Wow.. Its very delicious and Tasty.. And this restaurant provide me the best terms of service..

Ordered Pidi chicken curry. The gravy was too hot but the chicken pieces were cold. Malabar paratha tasted bad as well. Never gonna visit this place again.

Now, they have spread wings as a Restaurant Chain under the two brands, Salkara and Paragon.They have a variety of dishes, predominantly Non-vegetarian. Slightly pricey, keeping with the quality of food and high standards. Very friendly and well trained staff. Its an ideal for place for families.

Food is Good. But i cannot justify tea for ₹20.

Not much of menu when compared to paragon lulu. Soup seems to be avg. Biriyani not upto the standard. Tried beef curry, it was really nice. Nice ambiance, worth to try.

Clean restaurant with nice ambience. Stopped here for a quick dinner and I must say the food was tasty and could feel the quality. I felt the quantity is really less for the price. The 250 rs beef curry is priced 50-60% higher than it should be, for the quantity served.

Paragon group started their new branch salkara at athani near to airport.I was not all glad about the way the first waiter dealed with the order..secondly Mr Rejith was a nice guy and he dealt later in a goodway..Food is good as expected from paragon..parling spaces available..we had vellappam and fish mango curry...the trademark of paragon..

I loved the service. The food was lovely as well. The best part was the porotta... Adipoliyaayi adichu poricha porotta! Was amazing and had a good experience in the restaurant. Another plus point is that its in the airport road as well as the the state highway.

The travellers to Nedumbassery airport have a better choice here.
