The only riding club in the central university of the country is in AMU. This club was established in 1889 in the time of Sar Syed Ahmed, where the daughters also sit on a horse and run the race. Currently there are more than 20 horses in this Riding Club.

Near the M.U. riding club very big ground for playing cricket, football and other big games in this place horse riding organise various type of games such as horse racing horse jumping etc. I love this place every free time i m going here and play cricket.

If you are a student of AMU, you JUST CANNOT let go of this golden opportunity to learn such an amazing sport at the Muslim University Riding Club. If you have a passion for horses and the zeal to pickup this sport you must not think and just make use of this brilliant facility being provided to us in the university. I feel preveliged to be a member of this club. It has been a once in a lifetime kind of an opportunity and I love being amongst the horses 3 days of the week. The horses are well bred and maintained. You can pick up basic skills as a beginner within 6-7 months , by paying a fee of about Rs 3,500 which is not much compared to private riding schools across the country. The club also helps you instil values of discipline, brotherhood , sincerity and sensitivity. Once you are a member you must incorporate and respect all rules of the club and fulfill the duely assigned roles. I feel proud and grateful that AMU is the only government university in India that has provided us with this exceptional facility and has been encouraging and giving chance to many students to learn this sport. For me personally it has been a wonderful learning experience which I am going to cherish and hold close to my heart for the rest of my life.P.S. Membership to this club is open to all sudents of AMU, employees and wards of employees. NOT others.
