I get that this place is probably working for a good cause, but they will raise the price on your items at the cash register. Even though all items were clearly marked, and boast that they have daily sales... theyll say its marked wrong and then raise the price on you. I wouldnt waste your time here.
Has some ok stuff sometimes. Claims to have 50% off sales every day. Which basically translates to everything being marked up anywhere from %75-%200 (seeing as this is a thrift store where all your merchandise is donated) has a good selection of furniture and a bit of clothing, lots of odds and ends. Its fairly well organized as far as thrift shops go. I think they are also pricing things like its eBay and not a thrift store in Albuquerque. I found a reasonable serger for $150 ($75) but the green sewing machine, they wanted $600 ($300)...
Not enough stars!! These people are most helpful, nice people!! I love the store too lots of good things.🥰🥰
My three year old daughter and I went over to buy boxes because we are moving. My three year old need it to use the restroom really bad so I asked the owner where the restroom was and she said that we could not use the restroom. I told her it was for my daughter and that she needs it really bad. She didn’t let a 3 year old little girl go use the restroom. I will not be doing Business here any longer.
Eh... kind of worth checking out, but inside its chaotic and disorderly. Definitely dont visit if youre all about organized browsing. This place is quite disorganized.
I bought this mahogany chest from orphans exchange , I got a great price on it ,it was delivered to my house the people who came out were friendly ,she sent more than enough people to get the job done I enjoy shopping there and I would recommend this place anyone who was looking for second hand furniture, and a little bit of everything else go and check this place out, great prices and wonderful people to do business with. (Thanks for being fair)KEVIN
Awesome great prices.
This place is definitely a great place to shop they have second-hand clothes at awesome prices everything is great in the store I definitely recommend you to come check it out all proceeds go to the orphans so if youre up in the area. In definitely recommend this place
They took back my defective brown haired one and gave me one with freckles no questions asked.
The people here are so nice and they have a great selection. The prices do seem high if you dont realize everything is always 50% off. Ive definitely shopped cheaper places but Ive noticed that the people at Orphans Exchange take extra care to put all the parts of items together, even taping them together when necessary, especially with childrens toys. I appreciate that service enough to pay a tiny bit more to shop here.
A lot of good things to buy at this store and pretty cheap, super good customer service, Fabiola is a super nice person.
Good service provided and good prices. Mrs. Fabiola is a very nice and helpful lady.
Super overpriced for what it is. Also the Mexican American lady who works there is very very rude. I wont return. Id rather go to savers to pay real thrift store prices.
Amazing people. Wow, what a blessing it was!
This is a Thrift Store shoppers delight! So much to choose from and the prices are right. Clothing, books, glassware & home furnishings.
Good, Respectful Workers, and Great Prices...
From the moment we parked we were disappointed in this shop. Right along the north wall is graffiti that says Worst Thrift Shop. We had a chuckle about it and figured it couldnt be that bad. And then we walked in. $10 for a used coffee mug. $10 for a wine glass. $10 for a plate. For $30 I can buy a whole set of dishes brand new. They have this really sketchy sale every day so that the prices are slashes to 50% off, but $5 for a used mug is still too much, and to have this sale every day is false advertising. We laughed and laughed about how this really could be the worst thrift shop in ABQ. The staff was REALLY rude, too. I saw the lady at the counter completely ignoring a woman who was standing there saying Excuse me, how much is that antenna up there? We were just walking out when she answered $50 and then we laughed some more and went somewhere else to shop!
I visited the store and there was def a lot of stuff but I feel for being a thrift store it was over priced. I also had a garage sale and had gotten a flier from them that they pick up. I called and we played phone tag for a day which was no problem but then they never came and said sorry they will come by the end of the week. Still never came....
Super friendly love the good energy amazing prices
Amazing place!! Doing it all for God and the children!! Donate your money or time!
The Orphans Exchange is possibly one of the worst thrift stores in Albuquerque. The first time I walked in, the person who I would assume was the manager was talking down to several other employees in front of me and other customers. Absolutely rude behavior. The employees under this manager seemed to be his slaves somewhat. I just hope they were getting paid. Not to mention, everything was pretty over priced. Old ceramic mugs for $3? Old beat up luggage for $25? No thanks. Thats twice the amount of what youd pay at every other thrift store in town. Im coming to thrift because I dont have money, not because Im balling out and want cheap used stuff.
Got followed to my car and accused of stealing. The person that appeared to be a manager was rude and incredibly demeaning to employees right in front of customers. Terrible first impression. Will not be back.
This place is not entirely bad but be prepared to spend some cash if your going to buy from here. The place itself is very large but a little overcrowded. It is as organized as it can be. My main issue was the prices. I go to thrift stores for the bargain and the hopes that I will find some decent stuff. I happened to find a great solid wood crib but unfortunately the price was $200. I can get something brand new for that price. Baby onesies were $3 a piece and a lamp I really liked was $125. I would not pay those prices in a thrift store. Its called thrifty for a reason.
Ok I went to this store after reading all the reviews that said its expensive. Everything is half off, every day! So what are you guys talking about? If something says ten dollars its 5 dollars. The prices are not bad with it being half off of everything. They have a good selection of things, and its well organized. I only go in when Im looking for something in particular. If you use a debit card, you have to buy something for at least 5 dollars, the staff are all volunteers, and the money they make is used to help children. Not like horrible overpriced Saviers. That place is disgraceful with what they charge. This is a nice little thrift store with good prices and the money is really used to help people!
Great variety, and good prices. They do an excellent job of organizing sections and labeling items. Found some cool.stuff.
Nice clothes and 50% off! Its a good deal.
Worst thrift store in the world! everything is so unbelievably overpriced it feels like your paying retail price for used items the store itself has a horrible selection its beyond me how they are still in business dont give your hard earned money to these greedy people there are much better thrift stores out there
Great deals large stock
One of the BEST thrift stoers ive ever been to exclent staff
The Manager assume shes manager(cashier) on Thursday Friday and Saturday is the rudest person that worksthere shes bossy to other employees demanding in front of customers eats while cashing you out not helpful at all shes rude does not greet you as you walk in. Shes just rude does she own the store or is everything hers she prices things as if new double priceing . Do not go back n days shes there
Great store and good prices
Expensive. Rip off
Went in today and was so over priced it was shocking. You can buy the things they have brand new for what they ask. Its ridiculous. Its a thrift store...never again.
They seem to be under the impression they are selling NEW items and not USED
No one at this store gets paid, its 100% volunteer based. I was a volunteer and i was miserable on my first day. Havent gone back since.
