Amazing Indian food.The lamb is tender and moist. I couldnt find a place in the U.S. that could make lamb this good in a curry.The waitress was awesome, always smiling, kind, and attentive.Wonderful place.

Worst hospitality ever found in restuarent at zagreb by so called owner of the restuarent n the staffsWe asked for bottle of wine they brought already open bottle. They says they serve like that with previously open cork.Chicken they said their special without bone or boneless you can see in picture.Dont tell them you dont like the food.. they will ask you to leave ASAP. Owner behavior is too much rude n not expected ever those words for customer. Even after their words we showed humbleness n paid they invoice.Finally they deduct the win bill amt. We asked to add the total amt which we had ordered. Now they dont gives us invoice and says we dont need to pay for all. Owner didnt come to face us. Well, on the outside it doesnt look like much, but food was super great, lite and tasty. Real Indian taste.They were fast, food was here in no time, but then again, it was not crowded. Service was also great, would highly recommend!

An enjoyable experience. Indian cuisine is still quite limited in Zagreb and Croatia more broadly, so I wasnt sure what to expect. Ultimately, it was tasty and exceeded my expectations. Good portion sizes and yummy flavours, although possibly a touch too light on the chilli (although better this than being too spicy). My dish was with king prawns which were succulent and large. Polite and prompt service. I will happily return to eat here again. Perhaps the interior could be slightly more atmospheric and, given the type of food, it would be nice if there were 0.5l Cobra beers and not just 0.3l bottles.

Stay away!!! There is nothing royal about this place. Waiters not welcoming/helpful when picking dishes. We asked for medium-spicy, got not spicy at all, we had to order rice which did not suit the dish (because it was dry by itself). The waiters did not care and just charged us everything. Stay away!!!

Food was fabulous and the best in Europe we had during our trip. Zagreb was our last stop prior to going back to USA.Staff was super friendly and the owner helped us direct to places to visit in Zagreb that we would have missed in the guide book.Food is so Authentic that it reminds you and takes you back to Indias best food offering restaurants.We did have a table next to us that our waiter was also serving with people probably visited from India. The customers were super rude and it felt that they were looking for free food and the only way to get it is to complain for no reason about good Authentic tasty Indian food. We even heard them talking along those lines as our tables were just few steps away from each other. Staff and owner tried to be too nice and even re cooked their food twice. I felt the owner and staff were too nice. Honestly, if they were in any other restaurant, they would have been thrown out.F.Y.I salt and pepper were on every table and these customers that are complaining about salt had ever visited any good restaurant before, you would know why those two small bottles were on every table.I wanted to write this review after I arrive back in USA but couldnt wait due to the review I saw below from those customers that were sitting next to us.My sincere advise, if you dont have the money than you should not travel. Stay home and complain all day every day to whoever is willing and has the time to listen. Dont go out and spoil reputation of the country and people because it takes a lot of effort to rebuild it. Also, learn how to spell the English words correctly, our country is known to win contest.My apologies to be rude but cannot stand people who spoil our countrys image and reputation.Back to food and staff and ownerLoved it..if I could give more than 5 star..I would.Highly recommend to everyone who is craving for some good Authentic Indian Food.Thanks..will definitely visit again...

Worst hospitality ever!! Both waiters were so rude to the point of feeling like you’re in some black humour tragedy pushed to it’s maximum. First waiter mumbled 3 incomprehensible words and stood near us not looking at us, we tried to communicate but he couldn’t or wouldn’t speak. The other waiter didn’t want to recommend a meal or answer anything we asked and gave short “smartass” cinical answers with the worst negative energy, or no answers at all. He was very rude. He was rude to the level where we were in such a shock and confusion about what’s happening that at some point we just started laughing. 😂 I suppose that they target tourists as one time customers and just don’t care.

Had Murgh Makhani. It was okay but I myself make it better at home.. Shouldnt be like that. Not aromatic enough and the rice was dry.

By any meanings a good restaurant, the food was great, quickly served and the stuff is super friendly. A lot of Indians were eating at the same time so that are definitely some bonus points! If you want to try something different in the touristic centre of Zagreb and dont want to spent a ton of money Royal India is your place to go! Try the dal makhani, you will not be disappointed!

Together with 2 colleagues got food poisoning after eating a take away from the restaurant for yesterday’s lunch. We all had different dishes with chicken, and this is the only thing in common we ate yesterday. Now I see there is another comment regarding food poisoning too from a different person.

Overrated and overpriced. Boyfriend got food poisoning that lasted for a week, probably from chicken tandoori. It was a hot day and they probably dont store chicken properly. The waiter wasnt helpful, to say at least. He mumbled and did not give us any recommendstions. Never coming again.

Dum biryani tasted great with right spices and it wasnt like pulav. The chef took good 20 -25 mins and it was served hot with creamy mixed raita. Dal shorba was good too. However, their menu items have prices higher than other Indian places here.

I had a chicken Biryani here for like 45 Kuna which is really an reasonable price. And the quantity and taste was really authentic and awesome.They also serve you in very beautiful style as you can see my Biryani picture.They have outdoor and indoor seating and its usually full because the food is really great. Also, the staff is really kind and hospitality is above average. Recommended for Indian authentic foos near main Square.

Great place with great prices and very large portions. If you order one main dish you can go ahead and comfortably order two side dishes of rice because there is really really enough sauce to cover for all the rice and you can really get filled up completely.

After a week in Croatia, we had a craving for Indian food. Looked up and found this to be the only Indian restaurant in Zagreb. Boy we were not disappointed ! Good food and attentive staff having an understanding for Indian cuisine. The Royal tiger prawn was simply amazing. We ordered the kadai murg and dal which were absolutely fantastic. Kudos to the staff and management for serving authentic Indian cuisine.

Authentic Indian taste. A highly recommended place to all those who crave for Indian spices. Waiting time is little on a higher side because there is only one front desk captain who takes all the orders, clean up the tables, work as a cashier, served alcohol and what not.

Tasty food and good service. But why are the prices on the bill different from those in the menu (e.g. garlic naan 20 kn instead of 15 kn)? That makes a customer feel cheated.

Portion sizes were pretty small, no rice or naan included. Taste-wise it was really below average for Indian food in Europe (I had Indian food in the UK, Germany, Russia and Hungary before). The soups were bland and lacking spices and the main dishes were all served with the exact same sauce regardless of what we ordered. The sauce was also missing spices.Nonetheless, the service was nice and accommodating.
