Incredibly disappointing buffet. This was by far the worst Indian buffet Ive ever had. All meat trays were severely overcooked and tasteless and i seriously doubt that the food was fresh. One star is very generous.Quite frankly Im offended by the food they provided and I definitely will not be returning.

The best Indian food in Winnipeg. I have tried everything vegetarian that they have on their menu and I love every single item. Their masala chai is to die for. The staff is friendly. Service is great.

We did a buffet, the Tandoori chicken was literally gone bad. Dessert were really bad too. Was’t worth it.

Balanced and tasty takeout buffet, reasonable price, good service. Includes nan bread, salad, veggies, desert, a variety of curries and meats (chicken, beef, lamb). I could eat more inside but takeout is quite filling too, you pick your food yourself.

Love the new location, we ordered special without onion & Garlic and it was the best, The lovely new location is also amazing, the food was delicious loved the service by the staff and great taste and great menu. They also have Buffet if anyone wants to try with great options in that too.The Server YASHVI was very polite and helpful in describing the dishes for us as it was a Special order and the she provided the service in a good pace.

No doubt the food was good but the staff needs more work on customer service I guess. After providing us with the initially ordered stuff the individual attending us didnt care to come back to check if we needed anything else.

Was pleasantly surprised to see how professional and authentic the food is out here in the middle of Canada.Beef Vindaloo was extremely soft, Palak Paneer was a cheesy delight, Butter Chicken was actually flavourful and not a sugary mess.Staff were consistent, kind and fast.The Buffet is amazing, large selection of Indian Delicacies and Desserts!Naan is hand made and cooked in front of you!Desserts were lovely, the Jelebi should have been covered because it can dry out very fast but still tasted good. All the food was hot and flavourful.The addition of Indian pickled foods is amazing and I wish it was included everywhere.The drinks are a bit expensive but thats to be expected at any buffet.Would happily return here!Indian Seal of Approval! Haha!

Food and service are amazing. If youre new to east Indian food theyre accommodating and take the time to explain what different foods are. I usually order take out now that I have kids but often Ill just call and tell them my budget and theyll put a variety of things together for me since I dont know what to order..Its amazing!

Definitely a favourite. Have been coming here since their previous location on Main Street. The buffet is always excellent with delicious korma and butter chicken. The owner is also very kind and loves chatting and asking how everyone is doing. Thanks for the great food and service!

I walked by Ivory on my first day visiting Winnipeg and just by the smell alone I knew that I had to eat there before I left.Ivory didnt disappoint. When I walked in I didnt realize that there was an all-you-can-eat option before I arrived, but I definitely knew by the time I waddled out. It was very filling and very tasty. As a vegetarian there were a number of different options available for me and I think I tried them all. We also had some garlic butter naan, which was quite nice.I didnt even notice there was a dessert section until we were already leaving, which was probably best for my waistline.The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.Unfortunately I wont be back in Winnipeg soon, but the next time I am I expect Ill make a detour to Ivory.

Only being accustomed to a couple Indian dishes, the buffet for $19.99 was an awesome idea.Huge variety of food from the salad bar, dessert, and the main course dishes. Everything I tried from the buffet was excellent. We came in right when they opened for dinner so everything was fresh.Also one of the best service Ive experienced. Waitress was very attentive clearing dirty plates and refilling our waters very often.Great first time experience will definitely be returning.

Excellent Food and service!Went to Ivory Friday night and the place was packed..they were able to accommodate us after a short wait..well worth the wait2 of our friends had the buffer but my partner and I ordered off the menu..the food arrived promptly even for as busy as they were and it tasted incredibly fresh..our friends kept telling us about the variety and deliciousness of the buffet throughout their meal..the servers continually checked up on us along with the manager (mightve been the owner) to make sure we were well take care of.Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.Will definitely be visiting again soon!

First time at this establishment. We were here for a birthday dinner party.They were kind enough to get a cake for us.Hospitality was top notch, and while the food was decent, it certainly needs some improvement. We know it’s a buffet, and food does go dry and settles close to room temperature, but for a restaurant for a calibre advertised, they should improve the quality control of their food.They were hospitable and gracious enough to handle our big and loud group while giving us the space we desired and put up with our mess.

Went for my first time on a recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed. This is definitely the best Indian buffet in the city. The staff is friendly, the food is hot and delicious, and the atmosphere is pleasantly ethnic. Id highly recommend this restaurant, you wont be disappointed.

I’m a huge Indian food fan, but being vegan makes it a bit trickier to eat out. We were just passing through Winnipeg and needed one decent dinner. Ivory stood out because it has clearly labeled vegan dishes and a buffet for omnivores. Prices were decent and the vegan-friendly dishes delicious. Saddened that the naan that everyone raves about is not in fact vegan, but happy that the server knew to exclude it from my meal.

Loved it. Staff is utterly nice. The ambiance is great! Maybe a little too much furniture in such a small space. But its still great. Food was too perfect!! 👌👌👌

I stuff myself there during lunch buffet from time to time and always top it off with a nice bowl of kheer. The staff are exceptionally nice and care about the guests. The food is better than in the other one. A really pleasant experience.

Good experience, the food was good. Their all you can eat buffet is 20 bucks. So not bad. The only complaint is it felt like they did not have any air conditioning, which made the place feel stuffy. Otherwise I would go again.

So fun to go there and enjoy the buffet! They had some good gluten free options and different serving spoons for each. They showed me each dish that was gluten free so that I could lineup with the others. I can’t recall if the items had a gf label... I don’t think they did, but that would be a welcome addition. I will definitely go back!

Best Indian food in Peg!

Were there for a private function so cannot speak to the menu as much as I can recommend that offered to us. Excellent quality ingredients and great variety of flavors through all their dishes. Prompt and courteous service. Thoroughly enjoyed this evening.

Super attentive, friendly staff. They kept our water filled up without us ever having to ask, too! We got the buffet and it was delicious. Even better, they know exactly what is gluten free, and theres a lot of it! The house wine was good too, and the music and decor gave a lovely ambience to our evening.

Good restaurant. Some of the food items are great. Good place for single person to medium size group. All servers are helpful and friendly. Their buffet items are bit limited compare to other Indian restaurants buffet menus in the city. Customer parking spot is very limited. But at least they have some compare to other restaurants in downtown.

I don’t think there is one negative thing I can say about Ivory.My spouse and I have tried many of the Indian restaurants in Winnipeg and we’ve ended up being disappointed. We like the new location on Donald, the food is fresh and the staff are very welcoming. Can’t beat the lunch buffet price.

Wow. Delicious food. And the service we received as a large group (having a birthday celebration there) was exceptional. The staff were super attentive, and the buffet well supplied. My only request would be to have at least a couple items in the buffet that are a little hotter on the spice scale. But they scored very high on the tastiness scale.

Its pretty decent,p and they have a car park in the back which is a bonus for me. The staff is pretty friendly and the food is good. I liked the butter chicken and the biryani rice, but the tandoori chicken was very dry and the spicy chicken wasnt spicy at all. Still, its inexpensive and not a bad place for lunch.

Renovated restaurant hoping for a good experience The restaurant has a musty damp smell and a sombre environment while smoke from hookah pipes heavy and thick made it impossible to enjoy what was presented. Never the less we ate with a mediocre service provided The Following day while eating their take out, noticed small green parasitical lime green worms as part of my meal .....needless to say I wont be back when I complained to the manager his response what can I say and abruptly hung up . Great Indian food!

First time at the new location. Been to the old location 10 plus times for special family events. Serious downgrade in our opinion. Less food selection. Totally different environment. Old place was rich and comfortable, this place more diner like. PARKING FOR 6 CARS!!!!! Seriously, you want me to come and pay at your restaurant AND pay $13 to park. You only get to do that once to me. Ill go down the street for much nicer experience in the future.

Went for the lunch buffet. Everything was tasty, hot, fresh and the selection was great for the price! Defiantly a good value. Atmosphere is nice, great place for a lunch date or business lunch. Friendly service. Overall a good experience.

This place doesnt have the largest buffet but it does have the classic Indian dishes you would expect. The quality of the food was good with spices on the mild to medium side. The trays were topped up regularly from the kitchen so it was always fresh and hot. Service was friendly and attentive. Its a great choice if you like Indian buffets

Ordered through skip the dishes so I can’t comment on the restaurant atmosphere. Food was good however you can find Indian food just as good for a much cheaper price. They also didn’t deliver all of our food. Each entree is supposed to come with rice and a salad but we only received rice and a salad for one of the meals. Very disappointed.

The buffet is pretty good, and both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes available were equally great.

Based on other recent reviews, I believe they have now gotten over the growing pains following their move in mid February. I went for the dinner buffet, which had 31 items in total. I received excellent service (choice of 3 flavours of Nan bread, water always topped up and dirty dishes removed promptly). I especially liked the prawns, but the lamb, beef, chicken several ways and vegetarian dishes were also very good.The restaurant was busy and the dishes were replenished as required.

I had the most amazing take out food experience here. Quick service. Undescribably delicious flavourings and I was able to have vegan food for many of the dishes. When I specified this vegan request they were able to accommodate little changes to make this happen. So impressed.

I wanted to try Indian food other than just butter chicken so on the recommendation of two ladies in my place of employment I made arrangements to meet my middle daughter and son-in-law there for dinner.They offer many choices on the buffet and menu service, we chose the buffet so that we would be able to sample many things and boy were we glad we did phenomenal food my daughter is a vegan and they had many choices for her. For the amount that we ate and the amount that I paid it was well worth it. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing with many tvs with sport channels and Indian music playing nicely in the background. Wait staff was very very friendly and attentive. I will be going back without hesitation. Even though its a downtown location they do have free parking.

I feel this location is way better then the old one. Buffet is stream lined and a good lunch price. Parking is still an issue but that is a city problem not the reataurant. Also it is nice that the staff are not hovering over you.

Affordable food. I havent been in to any other Indian restaurants other than here and Clay Oven. I was looking forward for an unlimited buttered chicken but was kind of disappointed as I was hoping to get the same delicious taste of buttered chicken in Clay Oven. Even the Naan bread were inferior. Other than that, the rest were tasty, but may think twice before coming back.I would have given 3 stars for food, but I will give 4 because of they gave a good customer service.

Me along with my friends went to this restaurant. I would say buffet was good it costs has $20+ Tax. Food was good and tasty. Salads, sweets, basmati rice 🍚, 4-5 types of meat(halal). We enjoyed a lot its completely North Indian style. Worth of $20 for buffet.

The food is good enough to make me a regular. I only wish they change the buffet dishes. Its the samd buffet menu since years now.

Good selection of chicken courses on the (modestly-priced) buffet which included garlic or plain naan bread. Their samosas are a delight. Overall courteous and friendly service. Well be back!
