Nice spot to get some work done, nice owner
Hit and miss.Update: the owner asked me to specify the issue: Its usually a decent place to grab a coffee and a croissant but I chose what looked like a fresh loaf of brioche and it had some condensation on the inside of the bag. I wrote it off as residual heat. I unwrapped it when I got home and it had a smell of too much yeast, like an alcoholic smell. Seems like the proportions were off or it wasnt baked properly. Will be sticking to the coffee and the croissants...
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! We ordered through Uber Eats and they were missing the sandwich we wanted so they called us to ask if we wanted to cancel instead of warning us through the app LIKE THEYRE SUPPOSED TO DO. You usually pick something else or cancel through the APP. But they told us to cancel it ourselves as if we can?!??! Its YOUR JOB not to accept any orders for things you dont have and then if you fail at that its YOUUUUUURRRRRR job to cancel it through the APP. How the hell would I be supposed to cancel the order when it says its already being picked up?! Then I called back and you told me you didnt know if it was possible for you to cancel it and that I had to do it. HOWWWW??????? How the hell do you think Uber Eats works!?!??! THE RESTAURANT IS THE ONE THAT CAN CANCEL, EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. HOW COULD A CUSTOMER JUST CANCEL WHEN ITS READY FOR PICK UP? A 5 YEAR OLD COULD UNDERSTAND THAT. Every other restaurant that had a missing item DID IT CORRECTLY. If you cant comprehend it then maybe you should take yourself off of Uber Eats.
Beautiful and charming place. Good coffee, good options for a quick bite. The croissant aux amandes was amazing. The chocolatine was good too. The also have sandwiches, quiches and other delights. Fast service, free WiFi, fair price. The croissant aux amandes can be bundle up with a latte or a cappuccino but I got the pumpkin latte to enjoy the season :)
Very disappointed with this place Ordered à Galette des Roux to be picked up today Sunday Jan 3 at 2pm arrived at the place to pick it up to find the place closed...So why did they take all my info and not have the decency to call me..
I love going to this place for a pause. The place is quite, clean and the service provided is great. The food is just delicious, its a high quality coffee shop with a few options for a quick lunch or dinner as well. I simply love the place!
Lovely place! Everything was great and food too! I only have one issue : i couldn’t charge my laptop or phone :/
Great place for fresh croissants and other yummy pastries (just dont count the calories). The owner is always honest with me and lets me know whats fresh out of the oven. Dont hesitate to ask him nicely. Croissants so good that I have placed a few large orders during the last 10 days and they are cowd pleasers no matter what the occasion.
Food and snack choice are great. Service excellent. Location perfect and easy to get to (just outside exit Westmount Square, on Greene Avenue ;) )
We found this little cafe as we were shopping in the Westmount area of Montreal. They had very good coffee. For lunch you can get sandwiches and salads. Also desserts.I had a Crescent with ham and lettuce and soup. Both were pretty good.It is a popular place. Most tables were full and people were coming in and out all the time. Mostly, the locals. The ambience was friendly and prices reasonable.
Looking for desserts, breads or lunch (soups, sandwiches and desserts) then this might be the place for you. Good coffee, fair tea, & good hot chocolate.
Great place for daily bakery or afternoon snacks
Excellent place for some real french croissant and pastries. Service is quick and seating feels like you are in a chic pastry shop. Hands down a special place for coffee on Greene. One of our friends had lunch and they actually have authentic Italian food. Our friends all switched over from Starbucks which is across the street for obvious reasons, Starbucks is like Tim Hortons compared to Brioche Doree.
Really nice experience. Quick and easy. I am from America and this is the best almond croissant Ive ever had. They really accomodate you needs.AMAZING !!!!!!
Food and coffee were ok (I got an almond croissant and a latte). Nothing spectacular. Service was good.
I often go to this café to get some chocolatines or croissants, and when I have time during my break I try to get a goat cheese sandwich which are always super fresh. The staff is always nice to me and goes the extra mile to make me happy.
Great breads, sandwiches, salads, pastries, desserts, coffee, tea and or hot chocolate. Their coffee and tea are a 2 1/2 stars, breads, sandwiches, pastries and desserts are 5 stars, salads are 3 1/2 stars and hot chocolate is 4 stars.
Wonderful cosy little French shop. You can quickly get a variety of pastries at a fair price. The food is always delicious.
Good coffe, horrible breakfast the price is okay but the quality is very low, this is one of those places that amazes me , it looks good it feels good some of the products are good but ultimately is put together carelessly , especially in this day and age , if you want to take the time and be particular and Gourmet by all means, this place tries to be that but misses out by a long shot !
Pleasant, quaint French continental décor. Adequate cookies, pastries and foodstuffs. Unremarkable coffees and teas. They dont take wireless debit.
One of my favourite cafés, but they could clean up the tables more often. I was a little disappointed when I asked to have my pastry warmed up, and still received it cold despite the barista claiming to have warmed it up. A very nice location, and good coffee.
Cosy little place. Pleasant people, coffee is good. Exactly as one can expect
I bought six cupcakes, which cost me $20.00, and they are so freezer burnt that they are completely inedible. Absolutely disgusting.
I came in to this place today and saw they were selling nice baguettes. I asked if I could have peanut butter and jam on the baguette but was told that I can only get that with a smaller bread, which I did not want. I indicated politely that I was willing to pay more to purchase the bigger baguette and purchase on the side peanut butter and jam which I would also be willing to pay more for. I was advised that this is impossible to do because it opens the door to 6 youngsters coming into the cafe and ordering one baguette and asking for individualized pieces of that baguette. I looked around me and there were not 6 youngsters, there were 2 or 3 adults ahead of me getting their orders done. I understand the point of view of the owner as he would not be able to make profit if 6 people purchase one baguette, he would rather have them purchase individualized items to make profit and I also understand that it makes the job of the staff a bit more complicated. However, it was not a busy day, that big baguette looked really good and I was even willing to pay double for the baguette and the peanut butter and jam! I find it interesting how we have come to live in a world where there is no real room for flexibility. He was not overly rude with me but he was quite firm and also looked like he was tired of running his cafe, as if he had wished he would have done something else in his life. Isnt the true essence of a nice little coffee shop to get the owner to personalize your order, especially if the customer is willing to pay more? I walked out and I would never go to this cafe again. He lost a customer. I think there is room in this world for flexibility and gentleness. Starbucks across the street from him personalizes orders as much as you want, yet him, who is supposedly le petit cafe du coin, categorically does not and is even bothered to have to come out and speak to a customer. Shame on you sir. Customer service is important - if you told me no with a kind smile, I would not be writing this review. You were cold and its no way to run a business. I know you will write a review to defend yourself entirely but its better to accept that you did something wrong and apologize, if you have the capacity to do so.
Good coffee and pastries. Nice little place for a quick bite.
Best boulangerie you will find in westmount. Its a chain indeed, but quality is good and this is rare in westmount
One of my favourite places in Montréal ! Great coffee, delish bakery and really good service. My friends and I have a weekly morning coffee meet up and its always a pleasure to be here :) thank you Brioche Dorée !
Nice and cozy. Awesome croissant
Lovely place for coffee, fresh sandwiches & desserts, very good service
Cute place and pastries are good. Hot chocolate was very deceiving, especially for $4.
Almond croissant like a sponge, mail worker spraying windex on the tables outside asking people to lift their food and windex goes on food and on coffee. Terrible experience. No manners and respect for the customers.
Good coffee on greene
Good variety wonderful service
Superb croissants and coffee, at Westmount prices...
Superb croissant and coffee
Always a littke line-up but worth it
2 stars for the food which is good but service is horrible they barely welcomed me...
Watery smoothies.
Excellent cappuccino
Good.
Like it
Always fresh. Toujours frais. Friendly business owner. Propriétaire accueillant.
I contacted the Westmont point of service by phone, I was surprised and disappointed to see the way the person answered me! 🤔: Hello! .... I cannot answer you Madam ... and hung up on the nose!Quite incredible!Customer service, do they know ?? I am French and the person who answered me had a French accent.
Café est bon mais petit, pâtisse n’a que la qualité d’un convenience store, viennoiseries sont bons mais ils ne les chauffent pas...
The place is quiet and the banquettes very comfortable. Since the new administration is served very good coffee. I like to work there before an appointment. The quality of the food is to improve. Mostly too sweet. Some sandwiches are worth a visit.
Nice people generous sandwiches. Different salads each timeI wanted to be on the terrace there was no place..the boss ma kindly installed a table. I also have a memorable memory of Thai soup.Veronique of Paris
Very welcome a part of France in Canada. Thank you
Very good coffee
I went there three times. First, my natas was so fresh that I could not even cut it, and I had a hard time tearing the puff pastry with my teeth. The other time was okay. The third time, there are three ladies / girls who made me wait in front of the cashier for about 4 minutes without anybody looking at me, saying hello, nothing. I was the only client. She saw me 4 times, but no contact input.
Best chocolate bread you can find near the city center. I strongly advise!
An adorable service .... the owner and very nice ... I love the sandiwsh parisian
I needed a good coffee before heading back to the laurentians. So, I started looking for what he had in the corner.I noticed this little subtle coffee with several big buildings. However, he was more attractive than all the rest.My cappuccino and croissant were delicious. I even took one for the road. 😅I am a waiter / barista in a great cafe in Mont-Laurier (Kaffé Krème), so I am very critical of cafes in general ... but this one was just the way I like it.Its important to take a moment for yourself, so stop yourself for a few minutes ...I strongly suggest this little coffee. ☕
The service is better with the girls With the owner is zero.
Very nice place to have a coffee and croissant. I loved my fine croissant this morning. I recommend this place, on Avenue Green in Westmount ☕🍽️🥐
My soup and my Sandwich are really excellent. The soup is tasty and the sandwich generous. And for Westmount, its more than affordable.
The place is nice, the owner very friendly.Slowly the attention of the waitresses leaves much to be desired since they do not have a good predisposition to customers. They usually take a long time, the face is to be tired for the attention of the public.
A classic, its simple and good. But the cleanliness of the toilets and the room leaves much to be desired.
Quiet and Comfortable
Delicious
Good pastries
