Absolutely lovely range of products in this shop - gorgeous cards, fun toys, nice art and craft sets.But the customer service is really varied. Some of the staff are lovely and helpful but others are very abrupt and downright rude.I wish theyd sort out their customer service as this is a lovely local shop that Id like to support more.

Staff are miserable and rude. I took my three year old ( well behaved) granddaughter in to choose a toy, whilst standing with her she picked up a toy and one of the ladies ( staff) marched over took it from her put it back on the shelf and said please don’t touch, she then proceeded to tidy up the shelves around us ( that were not untidy and toys still immaculately in place) she then stood in the isle watching us, I would have walked straight out but there are no other toy shops local. My granddaughter was not running riot or manhandling the toys she was standing right next to me, yes looking at the toys and touching but this is a toy department.

Lovely products. Staff can be a bit off. Very crowded round the till especially when they request you queue 2 metres apart. Not great for browsing at the moment!

If i could rate this shop purely on its products, it will be 5 stars. unfortunately, the ladies who work there, think they work in the jewellery department in harrods. My son loves this shop, so we frequently visit. Im sure I have encountered everyone who works there now, and i can say only one is helpful. I have never been so uncomfortable to ask for assistance. Im sure, with a little adjustment in customer service, this shop could flourish. Service with a smile goes a long way.

I visited the store today and found the store as a really good range of stock but unfortunately the staff are extremely unhelpful. I was waiting for quite some time while the staff felt it essential to chat to each other. I found both members of staff both belligerent. I would suggest they walk across the Road to WHS smiths and pick up a book on good manners. I will not return as both of them demonstrate how not to provide a good customer experience. I was being generous with 1 star.

I always like shopping at Lorimers. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Lloyds of cards and great selection of items for families. Toys across age ranges including little items for party goods. Particularly like their broad and crafts range - perfect for time with family.

Staff very rude...absolutely no customer service. Why they even bother to work in a the service industry is a mystery .
