Beautiful Historic Place

Well kept military memorial

War memorial is the historical place in Wellington, connoor.

Its a memorial built for fallen soldiers of the Madras Regiment, the oldest regiment of the Indian Army. Unfortunately, its built on a busy traffic island within a military cantonment, so you cant stop there and drift around to view the memorial in detail. It would make sense for the Madras Regimental Centre nearby to move the memorial to a public location with parking facilities where people can visit, understand the Regiments glorious history and traditions, hold ceremonies, remember old colleagues & pay their respects to these braves.

Just had to see while passing through. Not allowed to stop the vehicle. Neither we could see much like a museum .
