Covid level 2. And Wellington does not have any case. And we are not looking for appointment due to any covid symptoms.Called up to seek appointment for 9 year old child, due to ear pain, on Thursday! They said we give you phone appointment for Monday, and at that time doctor will decide whether you need to bring child in or not to check for ear infection. Which may be again after some time or days!!!Meaning, they are so busy, that they will call you for real appointment only after 4 days. I wonder is it really worth calling them GP.I could understand that they are busy and will book appointment after some time. But in name of phone appointment, they are in fact taking 4 days to book the real appointment. If it is due to covid, then I feel like this is actually covid fobia!

I am giving this practice a high rating because my doctor Laura Garlick was able to detect early signs of breast & lymph node cancer on my first visit. She is a very lovely lady and I am happy I made the switch from GP City on Willis Street. However I do agree with some of the comments made here about the medical administration staff. My appointment took longer because I had to be referred to a few specialist which cause the senior administration staff member to raise her voice at me... for holding up other patient appointments. I just felt the situation could have been handled a lot better with a little more understanding and empathy. Thanks :-)

Disgusting service from the reception staff. They act like they own the health centre. If they dont change the administrative staff they will keep losing patients.

Fantastic facility and great ability to get a appointment. The GP had great communication skills and treated us with a lot of dignity. He did a really good physical examination and diagnosis. The reception staff were helpful and very friendly too .Only down side as a out of towner was having to pay cash and not being able to use the credit card facilities.

These two stars go directly to the doctors and nurses who work here and are absolutely lovely and so professional. What a let down your reception team are. So rude and abrupt especially when answering the phone. Customer service and empathy training definitely would not go to waste here. Multiple times I have been responded to in a condescending and rude manner. Not great for a health care centre dealing with people with potential mental health issues thats for sure!

This place is awful. The doctors are mostly alright but the administration make every visit a nightmare. They are rude, unhelpful and a utterly incompetent. Never been happier to change practices. Dont go here if you can go somewhere else.

Been going there for years. Not as good as it used to be. Doctors keep changing. Nurse was offensive to me. Cheap & handy & probably OK for family doctor if you dont mind their conservative Christian attitudes. Have anti-abortion policy.

Very friendly staff, proactive in giving information to new patients or immigrants not aware of medical system, genuinely concerned and amazing knowledgeable doctor. I and my husband are happy to be enrolled with this practice as we feel someone cares for us the way we would expect.

I used to be enrolled in this health centre for years and move to a medical centre near my work. I never experienced any rude behaviour from reception..(maybe the nice people have left??). The current reception of the medical centre i amenrolled in actually are rude....with matching pouting lips at that. I am thinking of going back to Capital Centre.

I have been going here for a number of years now and have happliy put up with the shockingly rude reception staff because the doctors and nurses are incredible. Today I called to enquire if it was possible to see or talk to a nurse or doctor and was told immediately, with no questions asked, it wasnt her problem and to go elsewhere because they were busy and down a nurse. Im just astounded that someone can work reception at a health centre and not seem to ever show any compassion or empathy. Judging from other comments here Im not alone in my experiences.

Capital Care are very affordable and centrally located. Usually I can get an appointment in a day or two which is great. Most importantly I really like my GP.

The doctors are great, I see Dr. Gita who is always warm and receptive. Reception and admin staff could do with some improvement though, they can be a bit rude /abrupt and theyve wrongly billed me for stuff before.

Reception/admin are very rude/abrupt. I called at the reception and they told me enrollment was open and can do the transfer from another GP. I was provided enrollment form and GP transfer form to be filled, I filled the forms and provided visa and passport copy and the reception. Suddenly one admin lady came and told they cant do as you are registered somewhere else. I kept on telling that lady I stay in Mount Cook, but she was not willing to listen to anything. Unnecessary calling at the center and wasting someones time.

Appalling experience. The receptionist was incredibly rude to my partner and I, giving her the third degree thanks to her foreign-sounding name - they were unsatisfied with her passport and insisted on seeing her citizenship papers (which she obviously does not carry around with her), then began trying the same on me until I pointed out I was born here at which point the receptionist said oh, youre a kiwi! and gave me a free pass. Some of the most bizarre and blatantly discriminatory behaviour Ive ever seen in this country.
