Popped in there for a quick pick up. I was stood at the till for 5 mins before I was served. Staff were busy helping people and no one was selling stuff.

The wellington staff are always helpfull and friendley which is great. They were very busy on the phones and this made for slow service. The shop is well stocked with basic electronic items, any specialized items are not stocked and the prices are quite expensive, so shop around.

Went into buy a lapel mic with headphones Adapter, couldnt see a signed section where it might logically be so went to ask worker who doesnt look overly busy. As he see me approach he snaps off request I go wait for his colleague (currently busy in in-depth technical conversation with customer, which clearly wont end anytime soon). Five minutes of waiting and looking at a few sections, Im off with no product, no customer service and no intention to return

Awesome place for electronics. They stock electronic components like capacitors, resistors, transistors, arduino board and arduino sensors and projects. The staff are very knowledgeable. The staff can also help you make good decisions based off their experience.Free Parking is available inside the building but limited.

An Aladdins cave of electrical hardware wonder, staffed by young Genies granting you your every electronic wish. I needed a plug thingy to connect a coax cable to a TV - an enthusiastic Genie guided me through exactly what I needed, and even went to the trouble of demonstrating how to do it on some cable they had in store. A bloody good experience, Id do it again.

Unbelievably useless. I went in today and there were three staff members, one behind the counter and two on the floor talking to each other. I came in to look for a specific power supply. I was looking at them for a few minutes and not approached by either staff member on the floor, who were just chatting away and ignoring me. Eventually I went up to the counter and managed to get the attention of the guy behind the counter. He went over and grabbed a power supply off the shelf. It wasnt quite what I needed and I figured it probably wouldnt suit me, so I let him know that I would just leave it for now and see if I could find something more suitable somewhere else. This was after I already told him I didnt think it would work and him trying to convince me otherwise. Nevertheless he went ahead and scanned it anyway, so I had to tell him for a THIRD TIME I did not want the item. I had also gone to buy an audio adapter, which turned out not to work once I had brought it home. At $2.50 its not really worth taking a trip across town to return it and have to deal with the smug attitude of the staff, but what a nightmare. Absolutely will not be returning.

Everything marked as available was so in the store. The staff was super friendly even after me being there five times in a week and returning stuff and exchanging until everything fit.The absolute best thing was, that I had a problem with my circuit and one of the guys (wish I could remember his name) understood my problem immediately and was able to draw me a circuit diagram as a solution. He also gave me advise on which transistor, diode and resistances to use and it solved the issue I was struggling!!!Thumbs up for the that!!!

Their CCTV cameras are absolute rubbish . We paid $150 for a camera that supposedly had infra red superior night vision. Nothing could be further from the truth. You can barely see anything at night. It was was terrible quality. We then purchased a $30 camera from an online supplier that was far better quality both during the day and at night

Dont get me wrong Jaycar is great and I love their product range. This is a busy little store and as others have mentioned it seems hard to get the attention of the staff. The poor kid that served me really struggled with the point of sale system.

Negatives: Some staff just dont approach me and just laugh away making jokes one of them was being a real drop kick while I was paying for my components thinking that he knew what I wanted and making stupid assumptions with a smirk on his face. But on the positive note this one staff member really made my day he really knew what he was talking about and gave me some notes and ideas for building the circuit that I wanted, and helped me out on the things that I was stuck on. Store wise Jaycar has good stock of products and a wide range of them too. I would recommend going there and their products are inexpensive but it depends on what your buying.

I agree with Jade Baxter. Dick Smith abandoned the hobbyist electronics market to become a second-rate Noel Leemings and look how that turned out for them! Jaycar has that market to itself and is doing a great job. When I visit I feel like a kid in a candy store.

My first visit .. It looked like a nice electronics store but unfortunately the person at the counter was so rude that I left the place without even spending 5 minutes to look around! Thats it.. never again!

Dick smith used to more like jaycar .... now they are like noel leemings. And now that market is all jaycars. Jaycar keep going like you are... dont get all noel leemings.

I entered the store around 1120am today Wednesday.Spent twenty minutes or more in store.Most of the time i was looking at the solar products. Not once was i approached by anystaff, two of whom were busy laughing and chatting at the counter, one staff member restocking shelves and one of them making weird laughing noises! Needless to say i left without buying the product.
