Ive been dealing with Ascent for about 21 years now and I built my 1st custom PC from them. Apart from the misleading reviews (by the same person apparently) that Ive seen on goggle, Ascent have never let me down there prices are lower than most competitors and the best thing is that no matter what product you buy, shipping is absolutely free and they have good warranties too. Mainly I deal with 2 stores when buying PC stuff and Ascent is the 1st one to go to when Im doing so. Customer care and responsiveness to emails is first class/top notch. Kudos to Ascent for youre service to me over the years. A customer for life for sure.

Over that time, all transactions, including purchases, returns, warranty replacements have all been hassle free.Although they dont hold stock, they have tap into a wide range of suppliers. I can look to them when I want to consider wider range of products and also when I need to seek out more obscure items.

Found a laptop sleeve here that was less than half the price of some bigger name stores. Was a little dubious to be honest but it was under $20 and had free shipping so figured it was worth a shot. I ordered late morning on the 16th, got an order confirmation email, status email, and tax invoice email in quick succession which was brilliant. My laptop sleeve was delivered to my South Island rural address on the afternoon courier on the 18th. Fantastic communication, service, and fast delivery. Couldnt ask for more.

Impeccable service, warranty and guarantees and replacements are hassle free, good prices, great website, free delivery. Arrived the next day and product was exactly what I wanted - was cheaper than the same thing at PB Tech and free shipping!

I have been an Ascent customer for over 10 years now and have never had any issue with their service. Once in a rare while the technical gear does not work but they are quick to replace it. Free shipping makes it easy. You do have to watch the prices though because sometimes they are a bit higher here.

Another misleading retailer that tells you when a product will arrive, takes your money, then gives you another, further out date and tells you their supplier quote messed up their dates unquote. Michelle at Ascent and others there MUST be held to account, this must not be allowed to go on anymore.

Ive always had excellent servce from Ascent and this is not a beef about them. They get 5 stars.Because I need a home computer thats compatible with my work, I bought an HP a few months ago, with Win7 and M$office.Bloody hell... Its horrible. To get connected it can take 3 reboots of the computer to hook up to the modem and the net.I dont blame Ascent or HP. Its F#@%$NG windoze 7. And many say windoze 8 is worse...I now just crash it by yanking the wall plug and restart until it hooks up properlyWe still have a very old Dell (a Dell FFS) XP computer that has worked just fine with our TP link dongle and D-link wifi router for seveeal years, and Im going to revert back to it and run XP until it dies, except for the odd bit of office work from home.
