First time ever reviewing a place on Google. This place revived my heart when it was dead :) Love the brothers. Love the community. You will feel home regardless of your race, color or religion. Give this place a try with an open heart. God will guide you!

Imam is knowledgeable but voice is not good at all. Khutbas are in English.

Friendly, knowledgeable and very involved with the community. They always have programs and events for those seeking knowledge, especially the youth. I wish every Islamic organization was like this one.

I visited here for today’s Jummah prayer. By far my favorite mosque in the Metro Detroit area. The men’s bathroom is immaculate. They even have a back stock of toilet tissue. I’m lucky to find a hand dryer in Hamtramck/Detroit mosques. The main praying room is lit up really well and is also very clean. The imam gave his Khutbah in English and spoke about nutrition and eating in moderation. It was a very motivating and informative Khutbah. In my experience I am accustom to the imam speaking a different language, which makes me feel completely out of place. Kudos to IONA and the people working/volunteering here to make it amazing!

Any place that has a closet for a prayer room for women will always get a 1 star from me. There isnt enough space and people are crammed into a small little room. My living room is bigger than this place. Women should be treated equally.

IONA is my go to mosque. Its very clean, organized, and has a good community that attends. You get a mix of all ages groups.

My favorite masjid, they have a ton of great programs they have an amazing book store and they are always there to answer any of your questions

A small mosque, yet the people there have big hearts! Silence is golden there, making the worshipping of Allah SWT all the more beautiful.

Organized and well taken care of, and the Imam Sh. Alturk is knowledgeable and a good speaker.

Great place to rent for events and cheap to rent.

Excellent khutbas on every Friday by Imam Mustapha Elturk. Very good location serving employees of hospitals, Medical centers, Auto industry and shopping centers etc. and all local surrounding communities.

Only masjid in the area follow sunna of prophet p.b.u.h. and follow sunnan of salaful saleh without bidah(extra in deen) i did learn lot from our beloved imam mustofa el turk may allah bless him and his family. come and listen brother and sister in islam.

Nice mosque , huge parking, easy to find while passing by.

This is a great Masjid... peaceful and spiritual environment. We are blessed with Imam Elturk, Imam of IOINA, a caring and knowledgeable Imam.

They have adequate parking. Imam is friendly and very knowledgeable. People overall are very welcoming here.This masjid is great for the youth because of all their programs and activities. The youth programs have a lot of room for improvement but they do well considering its being run by youth. Just make sure to attend their events at Desi time(most of the events start late but its all good)Fast and Learn on Thursdays is cool. I stopped attending for a while because there were too many side conversations taking place. And the brothers talk too much.One more thing. As with all masjids you will have those judgement haram police. As a Hanafi I often get told that the way I pray is incorrect even though it is correct according to Imam Abu Hanifa. I respect all the other madhabs and I wish people would do the same.

Ever since I first visited this masjid/mosque, I have been impressed with its setup/organization. But even then, the masjid is not just a building. It is a center and has a very active community. Now I live next door and visit on a daily basis. May Allah support the people taking care of this masjid and the community. Amin.
