I watched That’s Dancing 2021 Cabaret. It was absolutely EPIC!!! Very creative, choreography content suitable for all ages, entertaining music, dazzaling costumes, thoroughly enjoyable show that I would 100% watch again. Highly recommend TD 🤩🤩 ⭐️ 💃

Absolutely love Thats Dancing. All three of my daughters dance here and have done so for over 5 years and it enriches their lives in so many ways. Their development in dancing skills and technique is impressive and they can access many classes here from all dance genres to acro, musical theatre, strength and conditioning, workshops and exam opportunities which makes it very cost effective and time saving especially with three dancers and a full time job. They have competed in troupe and solo competitions with wonderful success. We have also has the wonderful experience of joining the school on a tour of the USA and this year will be going on a dance cruise. The staff are friendly and supportive and it is really one big family. We have made some very close and life long friendships. The development not only in their dancing but also in their character, resilience and team work makes the money spent more than worth it.

We have been involved with Thats Dancing for the past 2 years and very quickly we have become part of the team and we feel like part of a dancing family.The studios are very well set up and are maintained to ensure safety of all. All staff are very professional and encourage the students to learn and keep growing at their levels. The students are able to do exams, enter competitions and perform at various events giving them great exposure to being a performer. Even with the closures due to Covid classes continued via zoom keeping all the dancers learning and also maintaining their friendships.I could not be happier with Thats Dancing and neither could my daughter.

I have been dancing at Thats Dancing for 10 years + in performance teams. Coming to dance has always been a joy because of the close community all the dancers, parents and staff create when you walk in the door. Enrolling in all styles of dance- tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary and acro, the teachers are highly knowledgeable in each style and show great professionalism.The studio director & creator is very welcoming and professional in the way she communicates with the students and parents answering questions, providing information, and being a supportive friend.

My daughter Amelia has been a valued team member of Thats Dancing for over 13 years. Throughout this time she has made ever lasting friendships and has learnt a life time of not just dance skills but the importance of working as a team and camaraderieship.Amelia is studying the Borovansky Ballet Syllabus and has just completed her Advanced 2 Certificate with a High Commendation. This level of certification not only comes from her ballet skills learned through Thats Dancing, but from the skill set, support and encouragement of the teaching staff. Staff go above and beyond and the school is always commended for the students high standard of grooming, manners and positive attitude.Thats Dancing provides a beautiful studio and the opportunity for students to dance socially and if they want to go further, have the opportunity to perform locally, interstate and perform on an international stage.Thats Dancing is about dance, fun, learning life skills and embracing life-long friendships.

We have been at That’s Dancing for a year and are so impressed by our experience. Our daughter has danced for years elsewhere but with this move we have seen her technique, skills and confidence grow. We love the structure of the performance teams and classes are timetabled with consideration so the children don’t have long waits or long days. The classes are extremely well priced and is great value!Last year with all of the covid-19 shutdowns were hard for so many children having all of their activities and friends taken away. But we didn’t have that with dance. Online classes were set up weeks in advance of the lockdown as they were prepared for the events. The classes were still the same in terms of structure, expectations and professionalism. They also organised online team building and games to help raise spirits which was the highlight of our daughters week!!When dancing did return the health and safety organisation and procedures were so well prepared and enforced strictly.After all the online classes we thought maybe the concert would be a bit blah, but we were blown away!! The routines and technique were amazing. Considerations were made for the financial situation of families and costumes were reused or just clothing which was such a relief. However, this didn’t impact the overall impact or atmosphere of the concert it actually added to the uniqueness. We were also blown away by the talent of the recreational teams. It shows the talent and professionalism of all of the teachers regardless of if they are teaching performance teams or recreational teams.We have been welcomed so warmly. We have been communicated clearly to at every step of the changes throughout the year. Every teacher we have encountered has been friendly, professional and upfront about anything we’ve asked. We’ve been given honest feedback about our daughters progress and she has been supported when needed in the lead up to exams.We couldn’t be more happy with our choice to move to That’s Dancing. Not only has our daughter been welcomed but so have we. She has also met a beautiful bunch of like minded girls. Very happy parents here who have loved watching our gorgeous girl blossom. We look forward to her ongoing dance journey.

My daughter has danced from the age of 3 and at 14 decided to make performance a main goal in life. We looked into dance schools and settled on That’s Dancing, with no regrets. Her dancing from beginning in U15s, and now in the Opens Competition Team, has developed and improved in all aspects. Her confidence was nurtured, she has made great connections and even during year 12 rarely missed a night of dance because she loves to dance there. I give credit to her peers and teachers, and she will be dancing there for many more years to come. Thank you for all of your efforts.

Thats Dancing has been an incredible journey for both my daughters over the past 4 years. My eldest daughter wouldnt even say hello or look at a person when they would speak to her, but with the help of the caring, loving and professional teachers, she has become such a confident, dedicated and committed little dancer. The Director of the studio is so supportive of all the dancers and easily approachable. I love how everyone is treated the same and how many new friends my girls have made. Its like a whole new family. I highly recommend this dance studio to anyone starting out their dance career. Every end of year showcase has blown me away..they get better every single year!

As a dance Dad I can highly recommend Thats Dancing. This school and the fantastic teachers and owner have created an atmosphere of family among the students and parents alike. I’ve watched my younger daughter improve so much and become part of a highly skilled young troupe, while my young adult son has returned to dance with renewed enthusiasm since joining Thats Dancing. I love attending the performances, but I also love the competitive spirit once comps come around. It’s great to see all that effort rewarded, and I’m so proud and excited for them when I hear them called out among the winners...

My granddaughters age 5 and 10 attend dancing classes at That’s Dancing. The quality of teaching staff is of a very high standard The dancers are encouraged to compete in dance competitions in the many genres taught and their results are amazing.Renee as the dancer owner sets a very high standard and has high expectations of her dancers and teachers. Renee works with them all spending many hours teaching and encouraging and helping them all to be the best they can be.The whole Dance School is a very happy place for all the children and teachers and there is great respect for Renee and her work.I have been to watch my 10 year old to compete over the last 3 years with other students from the school. The standard is exceptional and the judges reviews are always.reflecting this.Their end of year whole school Show Case is such a professional and exceptional presentation.The dancers are all very supportive of each other and are encouraging towards each other, which also says a lot about Renee and who she is as a teacher and role model.It is wonderful to see the children grow in confidence and enthusiasm and commitment in this awesome environment.

My two daughters have been dancing at Thats Dancing for over 7 years now and love it! Both girls have been part of dance competitions in Adelaide and interstate with excellent results. We have also made some beautiful friendships over the years. Highly recommended.

Ive danced at thats dancing for about 4 years now and have loved every minute of it! I have improved so much as a dancer, and have made an amazing family. My technique has improved and Ive enjoyed the challenge of being apart of the competition team, since under 15s. It is nothing but fun and enjoyable and I would recommend to everyone, of all ages.

We have been part of the That’s Dancing family for 6 years now. Our daughter started out in the Dance Beat classes where she gained solid dance techniques and found a new love of dance. From there she has joined the competition team and has competed in troupe dances and solos/duo’s. She has also extended herself by taking ballet, Jazz and Tap exams with outstanding results. We cannot recommend That’s Dancing highly enough.

We have been involved with Thats Dancing for the past 4 years and it has become our home away from home with my two daughters and my son taking classes across the Dance Time, Dance Beat and Performance programs. I cant speak highly enough of the owner, all the teachers and broader Thats Dancing community. We have been part of the That’s Dancing family for just over three years now and we absolutely love it. Being part of a community that is caring and genuinely kind and supportive is very important (as we have no family here). The teachers do an amazing job with all their students from the very young ones to the exceptional overs (who always give me goosebumps when I watch them- they are amazing), Miss Renee is an exceptional leader, who is so creative, inspirational and an fabulous role model to our girls/ boys. Not only do the children learn to dance (with some amazing choreography) but life skills are gained including: being part of a team, dedication and pride, a sense of achievement, respect; discipline and overall care for others. Thats dancing has been amazing. Its a very kind, respectful and competitive environment. The teachers are great and bring out the best in all of the students. My daughters have been dancing here for at least 6 years now and they love it. They have made some life long friends and created good relationships with not only peers but teachers as well. The amount of effort that the dance team puts into dance concerts, Cabernets, mid year converts, fates and competitions is outstanding and its such an enjoyable experience for the whole family.WE LOVE THATS DANCING STAFF AND FAMILIES!!!

Thats Dancing is a great and fun environment to dance in. I have been with Miss Renee for three years and Ive learnt so much from all the teachers. I have met great friends and I feel safe there I couldnt imagine going to a different dance school. We have different events throughout the year and there spectacular we dont get bored because there so much to do and all the teachers make sure we have great technique!

That’s Dancing concerts are always really entertaining and a great showcase of the skills and performance abilities of the students. I have enjoyed going to watch my cousins Tayla and Hollie Hartshorne over the years (as well as some sterling cameo appearances by their dad!) and am impressed by the growth I have seen in them as young performers. As a dance teacher myself, I can see the efforts and care the teaching staff at That’s Dancing have for each and every student. Keep up the good work!

Why this dance school should be your # 1 choice for your son or daughterAfter over 5 years with another school my 7 year old started to want to miss classes, she was bored and just didnt seem to love it like she used to, so before she quit altogether I decided to look at other schools. It was scary and I didnt know where to start. So I got out there and visited other studios with her in tow! This took up a fair bit of my time, phone calls, trials, reading reviews, the works but nothing felt quite right until I spoke with Renee on three occassions and then just called in and met her staff. I’ve done the hard yards and here are my reasons why I rate this school #1Renee is passionate and dedicated. She knows her stuff and has a wealth of personal experience, she hasn’t just taught she has also performed from an early age. So her experience is well rounded across a wide variety of genres.Renee’s passion shows through in her teachers, they are so talented individually and most still dance but their dedication and love of what they do shines through. They provide encouragement and support and the kids adore them. You won’t see these guys clock watching or checking their mobiles!The studio isn’t a one trick pony it does everything and it does it to a high standard even if the kids only come for fun. Exams across a wide range of dance styles produce high results and the competition teams don’t just do well, they excel. This is an excellent reflection of the standard of technique taught throughout the school and across all dance styles. Its not just about dance either, there is cheer class, acro and musical theatre.The studio and everyone in it feels like one big family. There are none of ‘those’ types of dance moms here just a great bunch of mums, dads, nans, grandads who share in supporting all the kids. Egos remain at the door, there is even a sign, everyone is welcome.Renee constantly looks at new ways of engaging the students. She is always looking for new opportunities to bring to the studio whether it be bringing in guest choreographers and teachers from interstate or overseas or providing an opportunity to perform at local events, travel overseas to perform at Disney or performing on a cruise ship, she is constantly looking at ways to engage and excite.If your kid wants to dance for fun they will have fun, if they want to compete there are groups (troupe), solo, duo and trio classes. Whatever they do they will enjoy it and they will grow in confidence and capability and technique.There is a dance shop onsite. The shop is fully stocked with all uniform, shoes and accessory requirements. Costumes can be hired for children performing in competitions for a nominal amount which is great because it keeps the cost down and you dont end up with a wardrobe or two full of costumes! Bianca who runs the shop for Renee is so helpful, nothing is too much trouble and she can help you with all your dance needs.The location is central. Close to Marion shopping centre so you can do some shopping whilst waiting or you can sit and wait at the studio and watch classes live on the TV. The premises has an internal bathroom (some studios have them outside) changing area and pura tap so the kids can refill their drink bottles.I know this is a pretty long review but if like me you have only known one type of dance school you no idea there is this whole other world out there. We travel an extra 20 minutes each way these days but it is worth it.Our 17 year old made the change last year after wanting to quit but going along to try just one class. He was hooked straight away and went from a less than average dancer with 10 years of limited genre experience to dancing with Renees open competition team in 6 months. I think that speaks for itself!If after all this you still aren’t convinced doubt your doubts and come along for a trial. Alternatively email the studio and set up a time to go in.Lisa Crowther

The owners attitude is terrible. Please make sure you call all three year olds out at your next presentation. Even if they are sick when trophys are being engraved.
