Well maintained Historical place to visit in Warangal. Here, the visitors can see the famous artwork of Kakatiya dynasty. This place consists of ruins and artwork collections of that time which was preserved and maintained well. If anyone is visiting Warangal for first time, dont miss to visit this place.
Historical place, more like ruins of the fort than the fort itself. Nice place to spend time but one can avoid going in the peak afternoon. The strucures are quite interesting over there. The staff at entry were not very helpful and insisted on cash payment. The online no was not provided and Bar code displayed at the gate was not working.
A hidden gem over here in Warangal, one doesnt hear about warangal fort much - though being visited to this place I can surely say that this comes under one of the best and amazing places I have been to till now. What a view from the fort. It was mesmerizing. Also the garden with ruins can take back to the ancient time in a snap. Totally worth it visiting. A must go if in warangal!
A lot of monuments are damaged, archeology dept need to take more prevention measures.A lot of miniature sculptures can be seen, shiva temple, good place for photo-shoot.This place is awesome especially the one who loves history and clicking photos will find this place amazing . There are the remains of the fort which are very beautiful. Although theres really not much too see but the one who love clicking pictures will definitely love this place
No words to express my experience...Its just awesome 😍😍 everyone should visit Not only Fort whole Warangal... Whenever uh enter into fort you can feel the Ancient indian architect wonder.kakatiya dynasty is one of the greatest kingdom in indian history. Rani rudrama devi is the first hindu women Ruler in indian history
Must visit place in Warangal. Best place for family, friends, couples and children. Visitors will get to know the glory of kakatiya dynasty.
Well maintained... good one time visit...But as a fort was expecting a real fort setup which I couldnt find (not sure if I missed it 🙂)... there were two fort gates through which I drove and a structure before getting to the forts relics area. Could see that much only for a fort.
The fort of Kakathiya dynasty.13 century fort with around 45 Towers. The Queen Rudhrama devi great ruler.estabhlished lakes.Architecture & sculptures are simply superb. But at present you dont even imagine how the fort was because the fort is destroyed after the battle. At present we have boating, childrens play area,temple,etc...
One of the must see places in Warangal ,located close to railway station Warangal Fort is one of the famous tourist attractions in the city its tells the history of Kakatiya dynasty and there artistic views its a well placed small area with lot of sculpture it takes more or less 45 mins to see everything ,entrance ticket is 20 Rs and its valid for a day, one of the must visit place in Warangal
Best place that makes evident that India is a place of immense archeological expertise during times when the word India is not merely heard around the globe.
Warangal Fort is located in Warangal District, Telangana, India. It was the capital city of Kakatiyas and Musunuri Nayakas. It appears to have existed since at least the 12th century when it was the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty. The fort has four ornamental gates, known as Kakatiya Kala Thoranam, that originally formed the entrances to a now ruined great Shiva temple. The Kakatiyan arch has been adopted and officially incorporated into the emblem of Telangana after the state bifurcation. The fort is in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Nice.Good historical place. We can see fort and wall
A very nice place to go to when the weather is good. You can spend 2-3 hours and take some good photos
Another gem in Warangal which had chances of getting the tag of world heritage site but due to destruction done in the past and over the period it lost its charm. But its worth visiting the fort especially for the sake of listening the history of the fort for a period of 50 min which includes lighting at different places combined with the 8D dimensional sound effects.
Loved it!
People who loves sculptures and who are very much interested in history can visit this place for suree!!
More of a park with parts of the fort placed randomly for visitors to walk through. No signage for anyone to understand what these are. Show in the evening probably makes sense but was not working when we went.
Must visit place to see 13th century wonder!
Tremendous efforts by ASI . You can be there for half a day if you have a archeological heart. Statues , carved pillars, elegant beams, ornamental roofs , Gods, ..... Everything laid on the grass land. Its just a message for us , ... Once a divine center but today it is on the ground as bits and pieces. One who have love on their traditional past , they can built the Grand structure in their mind. On the north east corner you can see the bottam potion of Octoganal base of original siva lingam . Top portion is in the shuyambhu linga temple compound. Early morning and late afternoon is fine for kids.
Wonderful place I loved it
Very fine and great architecture from ancient time
Not really a fort, dnt go in summer afternoon. Good place to do the photoshoot but not that satisfies. Entry fees is 25 rs and you can literally see the entire ground (so called fort) from outside without paying. Winters, early morning nad evening after 5 are the best time to visit. Please do not go to warangal only for this, wont be worth. Although this place is kinda unique looking and in the tentative list of UNESCO heritage site. Dont miss 1000 pillar temple if you go to Warangal.
That carvings on the rock was unbelievable ooha ki andanidi 😇
Its nice weather, gd feeling looking greenish
Must vist place, poetry of architecture lies there
Super excited
A fort constructed in 12th century by kakatiya dynasty.
Warangal fort as shown in maps is actually a park dedicated to the temple ruins. Its a gorgeous place to sit and soak the whispers of the past. One can enjoy a serene evening here with family along with a cup of chai. There are not many eateries around and parking space is available. Walk a little ahead and around the park to explore more of the fort. A perfect spot for bloggers, vloggers and instagram influencers.

Historical place, excellent granite work, how it possible without latest technology during 12 century...
Warangal Fort: The fort was constructed in the 13th century in the reign of the Kakateya King Ganapati Deva. The Warangal fort is most famous for its graceful and finitely carved arches and pillars. This fort has four large stone gateway called Kakatiya Kala Thoranam is a historical arch in the Warangal district
Just Amazing! The ancient industry & manufacturing of temples! Protected by 3 giant circular walls…something that we still have to understand, and the technology used is just impossibile to reply today!
Warangal is marketed as a historical destination, which is one of the reasons it attracts visitors like myself who appreciate tales of glory. Warangal is a tremendous letdown and is overrated as one of South Indias must-see destinations. Even a first visit to one of the main attractions would reveal this. The people are the nicest part of the area; youll witness individuals from all over the world wanting to help you. From my personal experience, the people are a treasure. Before you come down to Warangal on your list, there are many more destinations in South India worth seeing
Beautiful fort
Superb place
Not much to see,1-1.5 hour is more than enough to visit this place. For ticket you have to book online by using scan code and only payment through amazon pay and Paytm can be done.while booking ticket all visiting member names and one person id number have to mention. Beside warangal fort one children park is there which is quite good place to have your pre packed lunch from home.
Amazing place. Deeply felt the heaviness of time and the moments... Both of its construction and demolition..The ruthless hands and weapons of those who brought it all down would have never understood the efforts and austerity of those, whose hands had that unmatchable skill and talents to bring out those shapes and sculptures, hidden in a pice of rock...Hats off, from the depths of my heart, with great respect and gratitude...
It’s like an park having setting type of old architecture but I went with a lot of expectations there but good to see all those old architecture
Remains of the fort.
Very nice place,Feels good, Historical Place
Lot of history to witness, and intricate carvings. Please behave when you visit and dont spoil them.
Really awesome place, this place reflects the history and proud of Warangal, I was visited this place December 2nd 2020. It was reopened.
Very good, peaceful, historical place in Warangal. Best time to visit is in the morning.
The remains of Kakatiya Architecture - truly tells us a tale. Though the actual remains are few, the well maintained garden/reworked structures and the light show make the place worth visiting. Best time to visit - post 4pm.
Telangana tourist place warangal fort. Historic place Kakatiyas empire their built in structure of rocks and their efforts can see by this.
The Architecture is just awesome. Conserving the same is very important. 25 Rupees is the entry charge for adults and is free for children below 15 years. 8 AM to 6 PM is the standard visiting hours. 7 PM to 8 PM - Theres a laser light show for which 40 Rs is the ticket. No eatables are allowed but some visitors still try to sneak their eatables and make the place dirty. Most of the architecture is broken but whatever is left out is being preserved well.
I love this more and more, it looks very beautiful, it is very good to the time more and it is a adventure.

12th century historical place.archiology
It is not fort(maybe it was previously) but mostly it is been destroyed at the time. Now it is just open ground and some artifacts kept in line thats it so dont keep your hopes high if you like to watch
Lovely ancient marvel is well preserved. One must see this archeological jewel on visit to Warangal.
A place where history reverberates on every stones... Perfection of the Kakatiya architecture and the attention in detail of every carvings.. Truly a memorable experience.
As usual beautiful place,I need not say again..
Numerous archaeological artifacts, on a large ground. Wished there were either guides or more explanations. Not to be missed if in the area, and perhaps worth a trip from Hyderabad, esp if you also stop by the nearby Bhadrakali Temple and a Jain temple on the way to Warangal from Hyderabad.
Good amount of greenery, fresh air, preferable place for memorable pics..
Don’t expect much, there is nothing except broken stone pillars. You can’t enjoy unless you are archeological interested person.
An awesome experience. A beautiful place to visit. Trip with family makes it even more good. One of the better places to visit atleast once. There are a lot of designs on the pillars. Careful observation is needed. We should be thankful to our ancestors.
Nice place
This i not a fort to be exact, there is no more fort standing. Only you get to see is ruins and relics from the fort which stood here once. Well maintained though.

Warangal fort is awesome, if you are visiting hete for the first time its definitely wort visiting
It is a historical place and well managed. If you r in warangal the. Its worth a visit.
Its good to learn, explore and share the same to the next generation.Sculptures arent guarded well as the people take it granted like a park.Every pillar has its own history if we give at most importance and the interest to learn.
Fun to go
🌹TIMINGS:9 AM to 8 PM🌹Built in the 13th century during the Kakatiya dynasty rule, the Warangal Fort is one of the most important Warangal historical places. This was built when the capital of the Kakatiya dynasty was shifted from Hanamkonda to Warangal. The remains of the grand fort are a relic of the past, coming from a different time and holding immense importance in history. The Warangal Fort has 45 towers, spread over 19 km of land. You will also find a temple here called Swayambhudevi Alayam, which is dedicated to Mother Earth. The beautiful fort structure is laid out in three concentric circular walls, and another wall was built to protect the fort that was a fortified inner stone wall. Here there is also the ruin of Shiva temple, that was destroyed, and the original deity, which was a linga with four faces of Shiva is in a separate shrine located towards the south.
Nice and well structured Rock designs
Good historic site but maintenance should be improved
Its a nice place to visit if the weather is good, because if its sunny... You will not even have a place to sit.... But good place to visit and spend some evening time there... Closers at 6 pm....Please mind this...
Better ancient place for historic views. Familiar for family trips.
Awesome
Good place to spend a peaceful evening and learn some history 💭
Good place, must visit, get a digital camera for sure, amazing photos to capture
