Good place with greens outside. Several film shootings are done here as per locals say!
A big, huge temple .. very beautiful, just go and visit , feel the greatness there
The Jaipur Temple, opened in 1917 after thirty years of work and one of Vrindavan’s most opulent and grandiose old temples, has met a peculiar fate, having been cursed at the time of its inauguration. It was built by Sawai Madho Singh II, the Maharaja of Jaipur, of finely carved sandstone and enshrines Radha Madhav, Hans Bhagwan and Anand Vihari (all forms of Krishna). To facilitate the movement of the huge stones required, the maharaja financed a rail line connecting Mathura to Vrindavan. The pujas are done according to the Nimbarka Sampradaya. Today it is managed by the government of Rajasthan, while it appears to us that many of the other temples here are owned and managed by the priests. The temple is nearly deserted during our evening visit, a time when other temples are packed. The chief priest, Roop Narayan Sharma, explains that when the temple was inaugurated, local priests were not engaged. Instead, priests were brought in from Kashi (Varanasi) for the ceremonies. Upset at being ignored, and envious of the rich rewards showered on the Kashi priests, the local priests cursed the temple to never be wealthy. Sharma said that even though newly built temples are attracting many devotees, “this temple gets neither devotees nor donations.”
This place is one of the glory of vrindavanI love this placeIt remind you about rajasthan
Very good
Nearest to the Banke Bihari Temple. One can easily visit there by Auto, car, Battery Rickshaws. Old temple with awesome architectures and Krishna Murti.
Built in 1917 and took almost 40 years to complete, this spectacular temple of profound beauty dedicated to Lord Krishna is a structural landmark of beauty in entire Vrindavan. I have seen many temples in Vrindavan by Lords grace but this one truly stands out in its beauty and architecture. There are 16 large pillars or stambh inside which resembles 16 holy kalash on which the entire temple is standing. The fine engraving and art work is mind blowing. The temple was once manged by the Royal family of Jaipur and now it is handed over to Uttar Pradesh government. Sad part is that the outer premise is not manged well as it is often rented out to large people group coming to Vrindavan. They can book large hall and all if then least care about the upkeep and cleanliness. You will be amazed to see people drying clothes on the nails planted in temple wall. But by far this is the best temple to witness both from inside and outside and yes the atmosphere inside is very calm and quiet and one can mediate on Lord without much noise and disturbence. So next time you are there di visit before 8 pmin the evening and 12 pm in the afternoon. Jai Shri Radhey Shyam
It is in a huge area and it contain great monuments. I suggest you to go there
