Basic hotel but view of kanchanjungha is really awesome from here. You will see 360° view of mountains from here. Price of hotel is very cheap compared to other hotels.

Megh Malhar provides a garden. The cottages look beautiful from outside. The lawn is spacious and well cleaned. They have sitting and dining arrangement on the lawn. In the front side, there is one kitchen garden. They are cultivating organic vegetables there. The kitchen and the proprietor’s room are a little bit away from cottages. In the back side, there is an elevated lawn with bamboo bench. Sitting there one can enjoy 360-degree panoramic beauty of Rishop. The proprietor is an ex-serviceman. He with his wife along with son and daughters look after the property.RoomRooms look good from outside. All rooms at the resort having a sitting arrangement. Though they lack some basic amenities. We stayed there for two nights. We found no water in washrooms. Though the caretakers provided us sufficient bucket water. The room is spacious with one wardrobe. The bed is big and well cleaned. But the mat on the bed is not enough comfortable. We found no candles and no television in any room. Though there is frequent power cut but power comes back within 10-15 minutes. The outside is so beautiful in the moonlit night we do not bother for these small things. Room price is also reasonable.

Simply a good homestay!Of course you cant expect hotel-luxury in a homestay.Magestic Kanchenjunga and mesmerizing TIFFIN DARA are seen from here clearly.We were too unfortunate as it(M.K)was not seen due to dense cloud.Colourful flowers and birds are seen by sitting on the bench.You can feel peace and bliss of walk around the homestay.Owner of the homestay is an ex-soldier.His daughters and son mainly manage the homestay.All are well mannered.Infrastructure is not at its highest level.Food is almost standard and adjustable.Portable hot water is on demand.However we ,the friends2,liked it enough and have decided to go there again and again at leisure.N.B: I have uploaded an illustrated description of the trekking from Lava to Rishop in two parts on YOUTUBE with the channel roamer and teller for you help and like, subscription.

The location and surroundings are excellent. The care taker, a local person, is very good at heart. Probably he is not aware of what should the food quality and amenities be like. Food for veg dinner and lunch was one local vegetable and dal very simply cooked with some fryums, a piece of onion and local chutney.

The view of the so called Sleeping Buddha was very clear.The staff were very friendly and the hospitality was excellent.The gardens were well decorated too.

Its one of the worst place in Rishop.The staffs are not at all welcoming, and I wouldnt recommend a single family to visit it.The experience their ruined the entire trip for us.
