An old building on the beach road, worth a visit. Famous for being used as a police station in many movies.

It used to be womens college, later the college was shifted to another place the owners of the Hawa Mahal took over keeping it as heritage monument ( not sure government recognized or not). I came to know they renting out for functions and movie shootings. The fore ground gives you a big platform to have nicest view of Vizag beach and dolphin nose.

The Deo family is running this Mahal known to people as Hawa Mahal and they rent it for any functions.Mayank deo is the person who deals with it.They have a permanent supplier new barat for any function. Hawa Mahal is a very beautiful place and they also provide rooms. The place is awesome but as it is very old it is not modern. But yes we can have pretty good time over their. If lighting is done Hawa Mahal looks amazing and beautiful. Police permission is compulsory for using mics and if dj is their there should be licence for it. In summer its very difficult to have a function but in winter its the best place.

It is a vintage place with serene beach view, constructed by the British Empire. I love this place personally, as it gives a different ambience altogether for celebrating any function.

I have been seeing the place for the past fifty years or more and the great place havent lost its charm

This place is a historical part of Vizag. But it is not maintained properly, there are no street lamps around & also it is not open to public at all times.

Good place to visit if you love traditional places, but not a very good sanitary status. The open sewage system by the road sides and the open public toilets make it too difficult for new comers and tourists. However, superb architectural designs.

It is named as Hawa Mahal, because cool winds are coming from beach. This unique building can be seen in many cinemas. It was operationalized from the year of 1921. Many officials of Britishers, Babu Rajendra prasad (1st President of India) and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (1st P.M of India) were camped in this building.
