A must visit place in vishakapatnam. You will be blown away by the interior. She was Indias fourth submarine. She participated in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. You can visit it with very cheap entry fees, but if you want to click pictures of the interior you have to pay little extra. Pride of India, again a must watch place you will love it. Theres also guides inside submarine, they explain about functionality and tell interesting facts.

Its a wonderful opportunity to see inside technology of submarine. All students and technical (Electrical, electronics, mechanical etc) people must utilize it. Go at day time to observe carefully each and every point. Lot of technology used and we can feel proud as an INDIAN. Hats off to our soldiers. Visited with my daughter (9th class) and tried to explain her at my level best.

Its a beautiful experience because it is a real submarine kept on Ramakrishna beach. Please visit atleast once in lifetime so that we will get to know how the life would be on naval submarine. Congested accommodation narrow working space, hardly two feet width bed, narrow dining hall. The people on board the submarine never enjoy the comforts what most of us enjoy on daily basis. Take your kids also along with you so that they can have some idea. The entrance fee is just Rs.40 only. Good luck.

One couldnt stop exclaiming about the mechanical engineering behind the construction of this submarine. The beach shore makes the desire more enthusiastic to visit this submarine. There are guides inside the submarine and they would guide in three languages, Telugu, Hindi and English in alternative visits. So, please ask for the language of instruction before entering the submarine.

But what you will see after buy the ticket, that will be value for money. In whole India l, this is the only sub marine public can see from outside and inside. Moreover, this sub marine has a great history and fought for us under the water. So respect that and do not make any unhealthy situation.Physocially challenged people and aged people better to enjoy from the outside.

This is the best place i ever visited. Even u can feel the same if u actually went to VISHAKA MUSEUM. There at vishaka we can see the types of submarines and their history in juz short words. So when we get back to this submarine museum, we actually see a real submarine which was used multiple times for UNDERWATER fights against enemies. But after its service completed, they used it to share the submarine as a museum and share knowledge.NOTICE: Id recommend u to watch GHAZI ATTACK(Lead actor RANA DAGGUBATI) movie which has a story of real incident of a war between the 2 submarines (INDIAN->INS Karanj and PAKISTAN->PNS Ghazi) underwaters for saving INS Vikrant from getting destroyed by Pakistani submarine near vishakapatnam SEASHORE. So if we got to this museum after watching that movie then u can see how deep the movie was into to show u what actual submarine looks like both from inside and outside. When i visited this museum, I was shocked to notice that I KNEW ALOT about whats inaide the submarine without even visiting it. All credit goes to the MOVIES😇.I would gladly suggest u to visit this place for sure and also a guide will guide u inside the submarine and hell also explain u about the model in which u r.HAPPY HOLIDAY CHAMPS.

A place that must be visited to feel the joy of quick, informative, and memorable experience. The submarine has been transformed into a museum, showing the complex construction details of its machinery, and the lifestyle of underwater soldiers. The compartments are all maintained comfortable enough to go through. The full details of the submarine can be found outside, yet for the sake of visitors satisfaction, there are guides inside who explain to the visitors in different languages (Telugu, Hindi, and English). The tour will take just 15 minutes, however it is suggested to spend sufficient time to observe the details of the architecture within. The entry fee is reasonable. However, unfortunately, price has to be paid for clicking photos. The place is open for visitors both in the morning as well as in the evening, however morning session is more preferable, as we can see the natural outer beauty of the submarine in its real colour, while the evening time shows it decorated with artificial lighting. This place can mark itself as a fascinating entertainment for children, while it may bring out the patriotism from within the adults..
