Built by Adilshahi, this is a tourist attraction. This huge water body never gets empty. Fortunately, swimming & washing clothes is banned now. But general cleanliness around the bawdi needs lot of improvement.

Taj Bawdi is located in Bijapur city. Taj Bawdi is a water reservoir that was built to commemorate Taj Sultana, Ibrahim II ’s first wife. The entrance arch is very impressive and has two octagonal towers; the east & west wings of the two towers were used as rest houses.

In resent time this well is cleaned by the help of DR M.B. patil sir . Here old type of underground water supply system is there , this is also renewing and very pure water is available here
