The food there is always delicious but it has a kick to it. I didnt realize that the fried chicken was a little spicy until I was told. It was delicious and even our son loved it. It was less oily than KFC.The rice bowls are my favorite. It fills me up and its delicious.
Seafood pancake was quite good!!! coating of fried chicken , however, was a bit too thick for my liking, and the seasoning a bit lackluster... overall Id return for the seafood pancake for sure, but probably not for the fried chicken.
For our experience, we took the fried chicken. I confirm the other reviews, its a must have. We then took bibimbaps. Bibimbap arrived cold and a little bit tasteless. My mother cant stand spicy food at all and specifically requested a non spicy dish (seafood Udon). It was spicy. A little bit but still spicy. What a deception for this last parts...
Sweet and spicy chicken, seafood pancake and japchae is really good!their staff are very kindly and fast service.I’m gonna come again and try other menu next time. best of Korean restaurant in montreal👍🏻
I have a hard time remembering the last time I had fried chicken this good. Every bites are juicy. The batter is perfectly balanced between crisp and light and their sweet and spicy sauce really is something else. It is to DIE for.The personnel is also super lovely. Very nice people.
The fried chicken it to fall for.Always eager to visit.
Authentic Korean cuisine~ dont miss their fried chicken and potato noodles…
Some delicious chicken and super well priced. There is also a punch card after 9 full chickens you get 10th free. You also get plastic gloves to eat your chicken drumsticks.Service is nice and friendly.Second time I went, busy on a Friday, not sure if they wee understaffed but it was just 2 people at the front and I had to ask for napkins, the bowl for the bones, water, I had to ask for each thing each time. They were still very nice but service was lacking.Boneless chicken is just as good as bone in I found which is very impressive.
Delicious crispy fried chicken. Seafood and green onion pancake. Bulgogi and japchae. I definitely recommend this place to anybody wanting a korean fix.
Excellent fried chicken! Skin is perfectly fried and crispy even though there’s sauce while meat stays moist. Favorite was soy sauce and garlic; green onion was still good but sauce was sweeter. Seafood pancake was the best from all korean restaurants we tried. Not too oily, still crispy. They also offer mini kimbap which are pretty simple but tasty. Spicy chicken was good, not too spicy. Didn’t like the bulgogi glass noodles cause it was too sweet. Place rather cozy and small but when full, service was not quick and attentive. Would still return for the food
Must be the Best Fried Chicken ever tried 🙏🏽
Their chicken is sooooo good, even better than those fried chicken franchises in Korea. But the level gap of chicken and other menus is way wide 😭, the other menus are..not too bad but not the best kind of K food either, then their chicken.....their chicken is unbelievably amazing, something you definitely should try at least once in your life. REALLY good.
Easily the BEST Korean fried chicken in Montreal at fair price point. Incomparable to Mon Ami, Dawa, KBob, etc.The chickens they use are huge compared to other places and you can easily tell that they are also fresh. Good ingredients to start off leads to great tasting food. The chicken is crispy and crunchy outside but tender and juicy inside. Just the way its supposed to be. Ive visited this restaurant over 10 times and was never disappointed. There are comments on other dishes, I partially agree that they arent generally extraordinary. But their Jjolmyeon (spicy cold noodle served with veggies) is on point.
The food is absolutely delicious and the service is good. But although I followed the schedule and called to make sure they were open, by the time I got there they were closed. Very disappointing.
Absolutely loved this little hidden gem! The service was fantastic, and our waitress was extremely polite and friendly. The fried chicken was scrumptious, as was the hot stone bibimbap. They also serve a salad and kimchi with every plate, along with pickled radishes, which is lovely. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!
THIS PLACE DESERVES ALL THE STARS IN THE WORLD. First, we came in very late on Friday night and they were still kind enough to serve us and clean a table as quickly as possible. We loved the food so much that we stayed a bit later than their closing time, realizing that I apologized and the waitress was just so kind and patient to let us stay.OH and btw, they have the best Korean cheese ramen.
Fantastic fried chicken and thank you for being honest about the preparation time
Our go to place this past year - great quality and dishes full of flavour!
One of the best places in MTL for KFC! I take this to go all the way back to Laval and the chicken stays crispy and fresh! The batter is so light and clean that you don’t feel like you’re blocking your arteries. The chicken is served with the typical K sides like a little salad and some pickled radish. Always make sure to get some honey mustard sauce for drizzling over the chicken.
Good food good service
Ordered delivery, did not get my order, they wouldn’t help me, told me to look up delivery service customer service number in google. Never going to order here again.
I think Comon is the best, most authentic tasting Korean Restaurant in Montreal. The fried chicken is bomb. The spicy squid on rice satisfies my craving for Korean soul food.Their spicy beef stew is also incredibly tasty and just like my grandma makes. The one and only place to go for Korean food.
So good, probably my favorite fried chicken in Montreal. Did takeout and it was a 45 minute wait (which I tend to think is a good thing since that probably means theyre preparing everything fresh after your order?) so would maybe recommend calling in your order in advance or going when the weather is nice so you can kill the 45 minutes on Wellington or something
Im not one to try new things. Once I find the one meal I like, I stick to it.At Comon, I have tried different meals and Ive loved it all. Its hard to choose. The fried chicken here is a must! Try it!
Delicious food and very friendly service
Delicious food and great service.
Simply best (Korean fried chicken) in town. Tip: order ahead of time, especially around rush hours since everything is made fresh to order, and can take up to 45 minutes.
Great Korean restaurant! Recommend!
Staffs are very nice and their dishes are spotlessly good (Especially their fried chicken).Unlike other Korean style fried chicken restaurants, you can tell that the chicken they use is huge(Twice as large compared to other restaurants) and fresh right out of the fridge (no black dots in the bone) and fresh oil for deep frying. Highly recommended.항상 잘 먹고 있습니다. 몬트리올 내 최고의 한식당이라고 생각해요.
Finger licking good fried chicken
Very good fried chicken and seafood pancake
Had high expectations, I blame it on an Asian friend who told me they have the best Korean fried chicken in town!It was a little bit too oily. So i would give it a 3 stars
The best best Korean style fried chicken in Montreal. Im so grateful that they still do take out during the covid. Must go restaurant.
One of my go to korean restaurant. The service is excellent! Friendly staff and fast service. I go there mostly for their fried chicken, but their other dishes arent bad! Reasonable price.
Authentic Korean fried chicken!
Amazing comfort food. Very reminiscent of Korean home cooking. The fried chicken was super moist and crunchy, definitely one of their staples! Definitely coming back here.
Amazing korean fried chicken, doesn’t make you feel greasy and the sauces are great.
I had half an order of friend chicken with soy and garlic sauce, the bulgogi and vegetable japchae, and an order of vegetarian gimbap. To be honest, it was too much food for two people lol. The Korean fried chicken was delicious, so juicy and with crispy skin. The japchae was very filling and I am happy that it did not contain any white onions as I mentioned it previously in a take out order. I highly recommend that you try Comon.
Im so happy to have discovered this place! They serve delicious Korean cuisine, and, as a specialty, their irresistible Korean fried chicken, with a variety of dressings. The staff is cordial, the service quick, the atmosphere familiar and the light is beautiful, thanks to the their big windows. For me, Id go there every week for lunch on Sunday.
One of the best fried chicken in Montreal!
Amazing food, everything was beyond excellent and the staff are super nice! Would definitely recommend and will definitely get some takeout again!
Have to check it out ! Awesomw food, good prices and friendly staff!
Very good place. Liked the food and service. Different taste compared to other Korean restaurants. Menu has pictures so you can order easily. Would give 5 stars if the seafood pancake was as good as last time my wife ordered it.
Best fried chicken ever. I’m so sad they closed during this quarantine. I tried other places ewwww. Comon is the best
Amazing fried chicken. The spicy beef stew tasted like traditional homemade food and was very delicious. The staff were very kind and answered all our questions and offered suggestions. Will return for sure.
Very good Korean restaurant in Verdun. Very authentic and good selection of dishes. I love the bibimbap. There can be little bit of wait on rush hour in summer.
Excellent korean style fried chicken, highly recommend
Pretty awesome compared to the one on wellington. Very kind and decent place to have dinner. Going back for Christmas ! !
Soo good best fried chicken better the mon ami
Fast, friendly and oh my god delicious!I usually would eat Mon Ami which I still think is amazing but I am glad to have a Korean BBQ option right in my own neighborhood!Bravo! First time, certainly not my last
The meals and service were ahead of my expectations. I surely enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant. Fantastic spot to take the family out for dinner.
The food is always fresh and delicious, workers hands over good customer service. I really like the cleanliness and atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot.
The fried chicken did not disappoint!Small place. Fast service. Reasonable price. I also enjoyed the chicken dumplings and potato noodles.
I would like to say that the food here is phenomenal but I want all that impressed. I enjoyed their fried chicken the sauces are tasty. I found the wait time for our food to be too long, they brought the meals of my dinner mates and then literally forgot me, we had to ask them for my meal. The prices are ok. If youre in the area and hungry you could do worse. If youre looking for our of this world Korean cooking you might look around.
Simply the best Korean fried chicken in Montreal.
Delicious, authentic Korean, great service. Our family just discovered this place and it is our new go to place in Verdun. Have been here three times and each time was consistently good. Inexpensive, generous portions, would definitely recommend. Especially try the fried chicken with green onions!
Went there with my daughter (2 yrs old), and the staff were very nice. Service was swift and food is good. My daughter finished three pieces of chicken by herself! She usually doesnt eat that much for supper unless its really good. Highly recommend it.
Employees clearly overwhelmed. Order not taken, then kind of taken, then delayed, finally prepared but not given...Pity, because the chicken was fine.
The food is great. The atmosphere is cosy. Great value! This is going to be a regular place for my family for sure!
The fried chicken with good value, but for me it is a little be greasy. We tried the rice cakes and seafood pancakes which were delicious. It’s close to my house so I will visit another day.
Food were cooked nicely. Chicken servings are big. I hope the food quality stays the same unlike other korean restaurants. I would recommend. 10/10
THE FRIED CHICKEN IS OUT OF THIS WORLD !!! honestly just read all the other reviews, we aren’t kidding. The best I’ve ever had and I’ve had lot haha. I love this place, the price is so reasonable and the quality and quantity is phenomenal!!! It’s super cozy and charming. They don’t serve alcohol just yet, but I’m hoping with time they will !! So worth going honestly the best Korean food I’ve had in a very long time. It feels very homemade and hearty ❤️
Good food. Reasonable price. The fried chicken is quite good and the half portion is enough for two.
This gem located in Verdun truly has one of the best fried chicken in Montreal. So far we have not found any places in MTL that serve better fried chicken. Its Juicy, tender, and the sauces that comes with it are amazing. The place is not too big but we never had to wait for a table. Service is always excellent and prices are good for what you get (the portion are big). Make sure to get the green onion fried chicken if you decide to try it out.Go check out this place if you are in the mood for delicious fried chicken in Montreal!
Food is great but service is very bad. Once, when I paid for my take-out, their card machine broke but the bank still took my money. I gave them my number and name in case something happens and a few weeks later, I came back for another take-out but they ACCUSED me of stealing their money. I calmly explained to them that they should call their machine company and not demand money from me but then, I noticed they had put my phone and name beside the phone as if I was on the blacklist. Never again would I return to this restaurant for this service.
Great Korean restaurant. Its the one that reminds me the most of Seoul! The food is great and the staff is very nice.
Really good comforting food and amazing service. A place to go if you are craving delicious Korean food
The foods delicious, but can be hit or miss. A lot of the menu is also a bit expensive, but the quality mostly makes up for it. I personally dont enjoy their ramyun, but the fried chicken is to die for. I also really enjoy the Buldak.
Fried chicken was on point and authentic. Same taste as back home. Casual atmosphere. Good prices.
We love this place so much weve built a weekly tradition over it. In our group, people who have visited and/or lived in Korea and Japan say its the closest food theyve had in Montreal that is as authentic as what you will get over there. The food is hearty, well cooked. The fried chicken is savory, juicy and delicious. The staff is always nice and weve never waited more than 5min for our food.I highly recommend you try this place. If youre in a group, take several dishes and share, you will be able to taste a lot of different things while keeping it in a budget :)
Our go-to takeout spot. Amazingly huge pieces of crispy fried chicken that stay juicy and tender on the inside, with the soy garlic sauce, it’s to die for! They also have lots of Korean staple dishes, definitely one of the best fried chicken spots in Montreal.
