This building houses School of Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering along with School of Catering and Hotel Management. The laboratories are huge and state of the art.The atmosphere is very vibrant. Always buzzing with activities. Also has a Nescafè booth to satisfy your hunger pangs and coffee urge.

Beautiful infrastructure and well maintained space..

This building shelters some 🐕... Having animals around with some puppies gives heartwarming sites sometimes... But, most of the days we are affected because of their defecation.... In the walking path, Right opposite to the entrance of a lab, sometimes on corridor... every corner of SMV is Dirted... The cleaners working here will take hours or even 2 days to clean them. This is one big problem here but no one in the office or institute cares...

SMV - Hexagon Building - VIT is one of the popular School located in Vellore .this building is mainly chemical students. Also some Matlab class classes after there.Infrastructure is awesome

SMV building in VIT is Hexagon in shape. It has G+2 floors. It is the center for Biotechnology and Biology Department. Class numbers are a bit confusing. Recently Hotel Management school was also opened. It is beside library. Ventilation and lightening is good. It has Kalpana Chawla ground in the front. Foodys is just beside it.Restrooms here are good and well maintained. Drinking water facility is there.

This is the Sir M.Visvesraya(S.M.V.) Block at VIT University, Vellore, which houses the School of Biosciences and Technology(SBST). It has the School offices for SBST and SSL. The building has one smart classroom(209), where most of the Ph.D. oral examinations are held.It has 2 chemistry labs, and the other labs required by chemical engineers, because at first, Chemical engineering was a school, along with SBST, but is now a part of SCALE, along with the civil department.SMV, the home of biotechnologists has all the biotechnology labs apart from the ones in TT( which are mostly for research scholars and MSc. students), and CBMR (Centre for Bio Medical Research).
