Good ambience and service with reasonable price!!

For a double room charge is 2000 but room maintenance is not great. Room service is very poor. Only positive is double room is more spacious with queen size bed. 3 persons can stay comfortably in that.

An sub par hotel experienceI have stayed in your hotel two to three times and planned to stay here atleast for the next two trips (preplanned).My experience at this hotel for the stay(Feb 25 - Feb 26) has been sub-par at most even considering the covid scenario.Allow me to detail my horrible experience.#The main bed in the deluxe room is broken ( I havent checked the room before based on the misplaced trust on my behalf on the hotel)#The additional beds given ( after minimum 1 hr & with repeated trips to the reception ) by the hotel were broken too (2 beds broken out of 3 provided).I had come to conclusion that sleeping on the floor is safer than sleeping on one of your beds (I think an hotelier wouldnt get an bigger insult than an paying guest sleeping in the floor )#Only some of the complementary toiletries were provided that too with reminders to reception since you dont have much stock apparently.#Your other Furniture like side tables,dustbin,wardrobe to name a few were broken too.#You also have a mosquito problem apparently.#Finally,I have travelled all over India and stayed in some of the cheapest hotels and I have yet to see this much dumb mistake of endangering both guest and staff safety by placing the stabilizer of AC in the restroom that too an wet toilet.Attached image for your reference.

Where to start? The check in time is actually 1pm and not 12pm hence, you have to wait for one hour. I came to Vellore for my fathers treatment and had to stay for a month hence I booked this for two weeks - since we had almost 8 luggages. While checking in, I was informed that the entire hotel will be booked on 7th July and I have to go search other places. I somehow negotiated and argued before getting to stay entirely.Restaurant doesnt have close to 75% of the menu which they offer as food services and its all time based. After 11am, you wouldnt get any dish like Dosa, Idli etc. You have to order their version of North Indian dishes which is horrendous. Its best one orders through food delivery apps like Zomato or Swiggy.Whenever theres a problem, the people do not cooperate. Once my mother asked for roti from the room, the room delivery boy came with rice and few other dishes. The boy couldnt even communicate since he didnt know English or Hindi. He only knew Tamil and neither of us could understand. At the end, we ended up wasting the food and ordering once again till the lunch came at around 5pm. Looks like the hotel management created this hotel for the purpose of local citizens only.There is a bar attached to the hotel. Few people visit the bar, as Ive noticed. Never saw the bar full (between 5pm to closing time). They only have a few drinks to serve - there is nothing much to choose from. Closing time of the bar is 11pm but from 10:15pm - well 45 minutes before closing time. these people will come at your seat, and ask you to pay the bill. When you pay the bill, they shout loudly enough for the entire bar to know how much youve drunk (and the bar is dead silent, theres no loud music hence everyone around will clearly know what youre paying) and its absolutely unprofessional.They have a smoking zone outside where we have to ask for matchsticks all the time. There is no lighter attached to string or pre arranged matchsticks.Whats worse? Everyone - from room service boys to ones at the reception desk keep asking Checkout?, Checkout?. After staying for one week, one of the room service boys explicitly asked me When will you check out? THEY JUST DONT WANT YOU TO STAY THERERooms were large, spacious and clean though and the one point Ive given is solely for that.

Worst experience. They dont understand hindi nor english properly. We booked a room for 2 nights and they confirmed it through call. But when we reached there, they asked us to check out the next day morning coz they took some other booking. Management is very poor. it was an emergency so we had to stay here otherwise its worse.Not even 1 star for this hotel.Just the location is good. Main road.

Bed bugs!!I was visiting Vellore Institute of Technology few days back and I had to take accommodation in this hotel because all other hotels were full. This is located near new bus stand but is far away from Vellore Institute of Technology. We reached in the early hours of the morning and was welcomed by an unprofessional receptionist. After some bargaining he gave us a normal ac room with one bucket of hot water for ₹2000.The room was dirty, bed sheets were not clean and the TV was not working. We decided to take a quick nap, but as soon as the lights were off, bed bugs started biting. I found 3 to 4 big ones on my bed. In close observation, I found the bed sheets and pillow covers had dry marks of blood on them. After that I slept on the chair.Next day morning we decided to checkout early. The receptionist was a different person in the morning. I complained about the bed bug problem and he said “Sorry with a smile”. We moved out of the hotel and got into an auto. There was this old person as an office boy who wouldn’t leave the auto unless he was given the office boy tip. He was repeatedly saying “office boy office boy” and asking for money.On a positive note the first receptionist we met early in the morning had offered a free breakfast coupon. The food was good and restaurant staff behaviour was also good. One star only for them.

Very very dirty rooms. All furnitures are covered with dusts. The chairs are very untidy and cant use. Bed and pillows are very dirty. Bed was torn here and there. we can even say as HAUNTED place.If at all I would have not paid before looking the rooms, I would not have booked here.Costly lesson for me, to learn to look into the rooms before paying the amount in advance.But staffs are polite and friendly. Anu how no use of rooms are not clean.

Unfortunately there is no rating lesser than this. room cleaning is horrible. we had to tell them every time for the room cleaning. No one bothered for a room cleaning of the guests. terrible hotel! Not that much good.. Its lacking maintenance and staff.. Not quick service.. In some rooms TV is not working.. Most of the bathrooms its in repair conditions.. Coming to restaurant attached to hotel. Very poor service quality is not good and complimentary break fast is limited only...Among the all rooms Deluxe room is some what better.

Worst experience ever.we reached the hotel in the early hours expecting an decent room.in all the 3 rooms we were made to shift non of the ac ,bathroom flush were in working condition.the rooms were without proper lighting and were stinking.the towels,bedspreads were extremly dirty and filled with stains and to our worst nightmare the beds were full of BED BUGS(they are a type of insects which suck human blood and are very dangerous).when we complained regarding the same and wanted to checkout they werent ready to give us an refund insted adviced us to shift to another room to which my brother did not agree .As we taught if they werent ready to believe us regarding our complaint it is bettter to take pictures and a video of the crawling bugs on the bed as an proof and it worked.and to top it they werent ready to give nor call the MD for us to talk to.we had paid ₹2000 for a delux room and after a lot of arguement they were ready to pay us ₹1400 only.when we moved to other hotel..my advice to all my fello friends to kindly check the room before checking in.

I had my brothers engagement here. The way the staff served the food was pathetic.! The staff serving food had no etiquettes how to talk to the guests.There is no washrooms for the guests. A public toilet in the bus stand is much better.There is no water supply and cleanliness in the rooms. The dinning hall is not fit for having food, that bad maintenance.I wish I could rate this place -10.

Inside bathroom lock not working

If you want a room for 1.5k, yes you will get. But not maintained properly. All the rooms will have any of the one problem like AC not working, TV not working, geyser not working, water flow in tab not working. But comparatively a better choice for less than 1.5k

I stayed twice here and the stay was just ok.. my suggestion is you have to ask for quite room and have to check bathroom before taking... If not there will heavy vehicle sounds complete night... water might not come in taps since its salt water (taps gets blocked).

The worst hospitality I have ever seen in the hotel in the hotel industry. Water problem is very huge. The service which they are providing is worst and they are charging very high at 2500 for a room. You need wait like 1hr to fill your bucket. The lady receptionist very arrogant and she is feeling like we are staying in hotel for free and she not at all bothered about customers. The Chairman of the hotel knows about the water problem and he is also not bothered about it. While checking into the hotel check the feedback book once. Nobody is satisfied with the room. The employees are used to face dissatisfied customers.

Worst experience ever.. Beds full of bedbugs.. They told they will give hot water in bucket but after requesting 4-5 times they did not give it. We had to take bath in cold water.in the name of complementary breakfast they gave idli and dosa with only tasteless sambar.. There was no other thing in the restaurant.. And they costed 2500 for all this.. Pls dont stay here at any cost..

We had confirmed our bookings via phone with the MD and upon reaching, they said there were no rooms available. After much pleading, they cramped us into 2 rooms (we were 8). We had no other option since all other hotels were full.Folks here are very very rude. Rooms are dirty. Beds are not fit for humans. Bathrooms are worse. Flush won’t work. You have to keep on pleading with the staff to get things in order and finally they either reject your pleas or charge you extra. I would have slept in my car were it not for my family. Please never ever go here.

Rooms are big and spacious. However, most of the room ACs are not in working order. Toilets are not kept clean, I saw roaches in some rooms. We saw 6 rooms and we were hesitant to stay the night. We finally decided to take our money and go elsewhere.

Function hall was good in ambience with air-conditioning.I had given them an awesome menu, but they literally screwed up the food in our function. Please focus on serving good food on a top priority which is most required in the industry.

Rooms are big, but rooms not neat, first they offered me a dirty and shabby room. When complained offered another room 207 toilet not cleaned properly flush water not coming. No proper response by the property staffs

The location is central. The rooms are large, but the bathrooms are small and Ill maintained. Also the ACs do not cool sufficiently. I changed 3 rooms in 2 days but all rooms had some issues or the other. The hotel staff although tried to help, but the infrastructure is not up to the mark.

Good that Google asked for review. I had totally forgotten about it in busy routine. This place sucks, if you read this DO NOT stay here however cheap or no option. Sleep in your vehicle if needed. We had to stay over in Vellore so based on pics of this facility and rate and urgency we visited and decided to take standard room. Paid upfront and checked-in. Noticed the AC isnt working, remote couldnt turn it ON. We took room because it was hot outside and really needed AC. Checked in at 3.00pm, immediately reported AC isnt working. They sent technician guy to check. Same conclusion, AC has issue. Cant be fixed immediately. So they said they will provide us different room but that took an hour. After an at 4.10 we shifted to different room very AC was working, mildly but working so we were happy so took afternoon nap. Woke up and 6.30 went to Vellore fort. Dinner at restaurant and returned to room at 10.00pm. noticed that there is no water coming to any Tap including flush, wash basin. This was horrible. It was late for us as we wanted to take good sleep leave for next journey at 5.30am. so i didnt want to report then and let them spoil getting in bed. So tried to sleep. Then woke up in 30 mins of sleep to harsh mosquito bites, when I checked there were at least 5 bed bugs biting hand. This was horrible couldnt just sleep. Let me tell I had read about bed bugs in one of the review still I ignored and thought that must be one of a bad experience. But then my whole night was screwed up. We were scared carrying bed bugs home too. JUST DONT GO TO THIS place.

Worst place i have ever stayed in my life. I stayed in second floor and the bathroom pipe which is placed inside the wall has broken and the smell covered the entire room. We have asked for changing the room but they said all rooms are full and there is no other rooms available. The staffs not even provided a room spray to make the room smell some what good. But they are not ready to provide even drinking water and room spray but have not reduced a single paise in rent which we payed. If you are looking for some what good rooms then please dont choose this residency. Really very worst experience.

This place is not even worth a quarter star. Pathetic rooms....dirty bedsheets with stains of blood on it....the pillow covers were stinking......Ac was not working.....TV was not working....... The bathroom was the worst of all, completely unhygenic with water leakage from the roof, extremely dirty walls (eewwww), flush not working. Personally, i feel open sanitation would be a better option. There was not even a decent hook or rod for me to hang my towel inside. Coming to the complimentary breakfast, I would recommend you rather just let it be. Chilled and insufficient breakfast, which closes an hour before the timings.

Ive stayed in a suite room. Flush, geizer and ac does not works. After complained the ac only serviced on time. Other than that residency is totally fine and am OK with the service.

Very Badly Maintain. Too many Bed Bugs in almost all the Rooms. A/c was not functioning in many rooms. In between 9 pm to 1.00 AM we were made to change for 4 rooms but were not happy because of Bed Bugs and non working of A/c. Ultimately, though the flush out, intercom, TV remote and A/c was not functioning since that room was free of Bugs we decided to stay in Room No. 205 which was initially allotted.The Staffs express their helplessness. The Management are not bothered of the difficulties of the lodgers and have not expressed any regrets for the inconvenience and suffering caused to us.Our Stay was horrible after a great protest stating that our stay was horrible without A/c the room rent was reduced by only Rs. 200/-IT IS VERY WORST LODGE WHICH I HAVE EVER SEEN.The Vellore Municipal Authorities and other concerned authorities should immediately cancel the business licence and close down the Annamalai Residency lodge.

Not recommended, The room service is not worthy enough to justify the room rent. Dull ambience, and even though i stayed for 5 days, they didnt bother changing the bedsheets or cleaning up the room even after repeated requests. In Vellore this kind of substandard service might be a given.

Stayed for 2 nights. Stinking toilets, taps pouring slowly and dirty closet make up the ultra-small washroom.The room sports a poorly maintained curtain, dirty bed linen and no daily cleaning. A noiseless ac was the show saver. The capsule lift was a joy with the children. The location is the only plus point. P.S. The attached veg restaurant has a habit of overcharging so please check your bills before paying!

I called the hotel for a room booking. I was told that the room was available I said I am coming with my young son and the person who picked up the phone said he would also provide dinner but when I went to check-in the person was too harsh I think he was drunk and the way he treated was really bad. on the phone he said the rooms available when I went in person he said that there is no rooms available and he mentioned only high end rooms are available and when I asked him that when I called him 15 minutes back he said that the room was available and this person was so harsh and he was not able to give a proper response that way he treate woman is really bad and I pick1 the fight with him and when my friend came in rescue for me .I yelled at him very badly and stormed out of the hotel and I also went back and took a picture of him just to post it online .a serious action should be taken because this is not the way anyone should be treating a customer,especially a woman. and severe action should be taken that persons name is Senthil Kumar .I hope after reading this review people will stop going there .and there is no point going to a hotel where theyre not served properly in spite of paying so much money.

Worst hotel ever. We booked the deluxe room but it is very bad. Both the deluxe rooms are bad. The hotel service is the worst. No telephone facilities to contact the reception. Its restaurant and its food are all bad.

Before we occupied the room, the person who carried the luggage asked for tips. When I gave Rs 50, he demanded 100. On entering the room, toilet flush was leaking and the intercom was out of service. Extra bed for which cash was given in advance, was provided at 11.30pm after repeated reminders . The sheet, pillow cover supplied were not washed.
