If you are looking for authentic handloom traditional sarees of Tamil Nadu ,Co optex is the place.All the classics of the region korvai kanjeevarams,arani silks,kanchi cottons all available under one roof.As it is a government shop you can rest assured about the quality and the authenticity of the products(silk mark with every silk saree).The best part of co optex has always been the card accompanying each saree which introduces us to the artisan who has handwoven the saree along with his photo ,place of weaving and time required to weave the saree.It connects us to these unsung artists who are still practicing ,enriching our age old marvelous craft traditions fighting many odds in a rapidly mechanised world .As for this particular shop,the staffs were so friendly and cheerful.The silk collection was really good in a wide range of price.The only thing that I longed for was more color option in each variety.Overall a highly recommended place for authentic handloom lovers.
