I cant say what happens at dinner time, since I went there for lunch and decided not to go again. Anything which was written on the menu wasnt available, so they brought me a veg meal that was already ready (as the waiter said) that was cold and not yummy at all. The staff was rude and lazy, annoyed by me not having the perfect amount of the bill, because they had no change (the difference on what paid was 50 rupies!!). There is such a great of choice of restaurants around that there is really no reason to go here.

Not much good to say about this place. The staff is in the first place arrogant (with a big smile, literally the worst), and the plates and glasses are very filthy.The toilet doesnt have soap, so that probably says alot about the general hygiëne.The card has a good size. It mentions on the front page that -if youre vegan-, you can mention. If you, later on, ask to veganise a meal you get a no.A lot of products on the map arent available either.Chefs are not willing to make something from the card outside of their hours. Better dont dare to ask for idly or dosa around 1pm, because youll get a short NO ;)

The options of vegetarian attracted but a failed choice. Staff are rude and they behave as if they will speak only English and has shown racism to Indian customers. Serving staff who looked like Nepali was arrogant and has was not really trying to help the customers. Finally I had to approach the cook who was a keralite guy to get my request acknowledged. Because of this guy only I would not recommend the restaurant to any visitors.

Food is average, Ambience is good, Staffs are okey. Its a small place to spend some time with your friends/family with a cup of tea/coffee. Average cost for 2 person for breakfast will be somewhere around 200.

Food was nice but nothing special. They prepare food very simply, homemade. The curry was cold. Also I felt taste of fried oil in all meals. I didnt like it cause it seems they fry food with not changing the oil. One thing which was very nice they got ginger beer. This was great!!! They dont have conditioner, all table were outside. So during hot time it is not nice to seat. The last thing to mention is that price were twice cheaper comparing with restaurants near Cliff.

First visited this place in 2009. Used to be a great place for veg food. The older waiter guy was really friendly and helpful but things went downhill when the younger nasty Nepali waiter arrived. One time, asked for pasta and one hour later I was served a plate of pasta with a few strips of carrot in it. Problem for me is that in the long waiting times you are exposed to others smoking. Eventually changed to better place in Temple Road

If you want a hotel to eat that is of the lot less expensive this is all you have at the cliff. The food is ok, to good.

Lovely little restaurant if you want Vegetarian, lots of good healthy choices, not one of my regular places, because I prefer the full option eateries, but overlooking the beach, near the Helipad, loads of parking, but a massive choice of lots of various world cuisines along these north cliff, : from your Full English breakfast, to middle eastern choices, Tibetan, Chinese , Pizza, specialist coffee shops, , burgers and chips, salads, in the tourist season, loads of options for what ever takes your fancy.

It is one of first eatery that you will find when you descend from Varkala cliff to the beach. It is an outdoor restaurant, hence the ambience is dependent upon the weather. Still, it seemed untidy with torn or dirty tablecloths and dirty chairs. Their menu consisted of a variety of dishes from plain snacks to full course meals, across cuisines like Indian, Chinese and Italian. The food itself was not the best, but still decent. It also took the staff a long while to serve.All in all, it isnt your go to diner after a nice time at the beach, but it definitely has scope for improvement.

We went 3 times there. Food is really great - especially If you are vegan - good place to choose! Very affordable comparing to the ones on the beach.

This place is amazing. Off the main strip located on the helipad, this hidden gem is a super friendly restaurant and a real taste of kerala. I was searching for puttu when I came across this place. Exactly what I was craving. Puttu with chickpea curry is a must try.

Used to be a great place, but things went a bit downhills. This was the place where we had breakfast nearly every day when we stayed in Varkala 4 years ago. It’s still okay, but service and quality aren’t as good as they used to be.

Tasty veg dishes here at decent but slightly inflated prices. Most of the menu items are not available so is best to ask right away what actually IS available before you go and get your heart set on a dish you cant have. The service here is ridiculously slow and overall poor and they just dont seem to care about helping you. But the food they do have is really good so go for that alone.

Getting veg food in sea beach is really appreciated.Food was good and not so expensive. Staff is really nice, only thing they can improve is start accepting mobile wallets like Paytm or Bhim.

Ambiance is not very good. But the food was just great. We took a dry subji called Thoran and it was just delicious. The service provided by Akash was just great.

This is probably one of the most inexpensive place along the cliff with good food.They have a lovely, shady garden sitting area; we had breakfast here twice and enjoyed the variety of Indian breakfast items. Service can be a bit sketchy wheb tgey are busy but I did not mind ... after all I am on vacation on not in a rush!

Extremely Rude Staff! Would suggest to avoid it under all circumstances.We were not familiar with Kerala recipes so I asked the staff to let me know about a few of them before we can order. He rudely told us he does not have time to explain! This was only the beginning. At the time we had seated, the staff had informed us about 45 minute wait time which we had agreed for. However, as it was well past the wait time since we had ordered our food and children were becoming impatient, as we politely asked for how much more we had to wait, we were again reverted in a very rude way. Soon it was 75 minutes of wait and our food was nowhere. Other families too were getting impatient and the family sitting next to us got up and started to leave and then the staff there started an altercation with them and then started shouting get out of here. The family consisted of a father and her young daughter and the girl seeing her father being abused said how dare you speak to us like this and on hearing this the staff became more abusive and threatened to hit. This was too much for us to tolerate. We all got up to help the family being abused and then we all walked out of the place. This experience has spoiled the entire experience of Varkala and gave an extremely negative impression of the place. Have never ever seen such bad behavior in any restaurant.

We went to this restaurant for lunch most days during our stay and for one evening meal. True they didnt always have what we wanted but there is still a good choice and we knew it was always cooked fresh. The waiter knew we loved the dosa there and we were sometimes able to get them at 1 oclock. We loved the aloo podimas and the gobi varutheran curry which went well with their delicious paratha. Staff are laid back and you will have to attract their attention to be served but they are very friendly. We thoroughly recommend it.

Good veg food at affordable price

One of the best places we ate in Kerala. The Aloo Gobi and Veg/Paneer Kadai was amazing, so was the bindi fry for a light snack, also the parotha was great. We saw a lot of people eating oriental food so im not sure what that is like but the indian food was incredible.Try get there early (6-7pm) because it gets very busy after that.

The first time we went, we asked for idly. But because idly is a breakfast, they refused to make it. (it was lunchtime) The same for dosa and jaffle. As the menu says please mention before, whether you are vegan I was hopeful they were capable to veganize a lot of dishes, but unfortunately that was another huge dissapointment. We asked several meals like for example the cauliflower with broccoli in almond sauce (which I first thought it would be already vegan) but they use cowsmilk in it. After asking other vegan dishes we only got the rude and short answer NO at almost everything. So we left the place and because we wanted to give them a second chance, the day after we went for breakfast. And guess what: no idly! And because why exactly? We dont know! We only get again the short NO-reaction. So we asked for dosa and a ginger lemon tea. We could price ourselves lucky, because after a long time waiting we finally got our food. The tea I received was presented in a very fillty glass and afterwords we asked for a chapati again the impolite guy said NO. Also the toilet was very unhygienic, there wasnt soap at the washing station + dont ask me about the glimp I took in the kitchen. So I would definitely not recommend this place.

This restaurant does not deserve one star either. The staff was not interested in service. Place had just one light on and head butler did no bother to come to our table even after 10 mins. And there was just one other table occupied and he wasn’t doing anything.

Not sure if this place is still open. We were visiting Varkala beach and were planning to have lunch here, as it seems to be the only vegetarian restaurant on the cliff. However, when we were walking towards the hotel, we saw that this place was deserted, appeared to be closed. It was around 3pm on a Sunday.
