We went here for breakfast. The ambience and location of the restaurant is beautiful. We ordered sulaimani tea + some chicken sandwich + triple cheese omelet. Food quality and taste was good enough. Not great and not bad. Tea was good! They gave the order very late but we didnt realise because the view was too good 😂They have a balcony on the G+1 floor and it has beautiful view! Just note than vehicles dont reach this place, its situated on Varkala cliff, where youve to walk.

One of the best cafe located in Varkala cliff. Nice 180 degree view of seashore from the seats and well maintained facilities. Nice food , nice services. Rate is also acceptable. Little delay on food delivery,but its ok with their standard. Hungry people who will arrive at cliff should definitely try..☺️

When I went there,I initially thought Meh, whats gonna be so different about it . But damn the food and sea view totally made up for it! Takes a bit of time but well worth it. And portions are great!

Went to have a good evening.. loved the view out to the sea. Ordered a plate of lollipop which was undercooked. We returned the item but the second attempt also failed to match our expectation and luckily a dog wandered in who had a good meal of those lollipops I hope.

They do an amazing cheese cake....but in general the food is just okay.You can get a good view of the varkala beach while you dine here.

Nice place on the cliff to have an early breakfast after spending time at Varkala beach. This café offers views of the sea and horizon, and is one of the few places that open early in the morning. Tried the European and American breakfast and both were good. Quantity of each is more than enough for one person. You can choose how you like your eggs. Tea or coffee and fresh fruit juices are also available. Cash, card and gpay is available. I highly recommend to reach the beach by around 6am to avoid the crowds, spend time in the ocean till 730-8am and head over to café Del Mar to relax and have a hearty breakfast.

We had American chicken steak, odayan Prawns and Tuna sandwich. Everything tasted really good.. Good beach view place.

Located at middle of the cliff stretch, this cafe has all the hustle bustle and quite fancy menu. We went for a lazy breakfast and were served with what we wanted! We had their special omelete and Mexican omelete. I would have prefered if they added the veggies before the final flip instead of just stuffing em in at the end. The smoothie was yum and filling. Service was decent and ambience is lovely with the nice view of the sea.

This place is a must-visit! Such amazing options from so many different cuisines! We had the new york pasta and falafel wrap. I was very impressed by how well-made and fresh the falafels and hummus were. Really enjoyed our meal here and the view from our table on the first floor made the meal even better

We just had two items and a drink from here. All of them were yummy & delicious. Will surely come back here whenever we visit cliff.

One of the few places that was open for dinin during my visit.. Food was tasty, people were nice and friendly. Great view from the roof top , though it was under renovation, they arranged a table for us.

Nice place to spend sometime and have a cup of coffee or a meal. The view is great and the service is also good. The food is pretty decent. We had breakfast and dinner here and was happy with the quality of the food. The staff was nice and did not show any preferences while serving foreigners as compared to Indians which is appreciated. Would definitely recommend the place for a nice quiet and peaceful time. Cheers!

If you can find a place like Cafe Del Mar in a dreamy place like Varkala, you are in heaven.The cafe overlooks the sea and is set by the road by the beach. The breezy ambiance stands out in itself that even if the food was bad, this would have been an unmissable place.One of the best variety of food and taste you will find around here. You can spend hours soaking in the soothing coastal wind, calming sound of sea waves and relishing good food here. My absolute favourite.

A beautiful place to have a very good dinner at varkala. The quality of food is excellent. I am a regular visitor of the place for years. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. The ambience is good . One should try the home made cakes , coffee & variety of juices available there. The salads are very good . The soups are rich and overall quality of food is excellent. Do try the hot chocolate.

The place is nice, a very relaxed set up and of course an amazing view .. a bit hot but so is everywhere else on the cliff.. coffee was amazing however, it would have been great if the waiter didnt forget the order and we didnt have to go remind them (hence only 3 stars) ...

Cafe del mar is my go to place for breakfast, lunch and dinner when Im in Varkala. They have a great view of the sea and have an open seating area on the ground floor and a deck upstairs. Ive enjoyed everything Ive ordered from here. The service too is great. Nice place to just grab a bite and chill.

As of Feb 2021, there are not many active cafes open in Varkala post lockdown relaxation. Considering that, this place is one of those few above average cafes which are active currently. Italian food is good over here. Pizzas to be specific. Other than that, ambience and sunset view are almost similar to most of the cafes on the cliff.

Lovely place, with good coffee and food. You can enjoy infinity view of the ocean while you sip your coffee here.

This cafe has their own power generator. So when there is a power cut, you know that you can get electricity for powering your headphones if needed. The views from the cafe is wonderful!

A good place that serves perfectly good food - we had a Prawn curry and a veg curry and both were good and freshly cooked. The prawns were smaller than the fine big tiger / jumbo ones seen at the entrance but it was good and had an excellent view out over the cliffs. Good food, nice location, nothing to write bad about.

Three stars is for the ambience n view from the cafe only. Other wise food is average and prices are more compared to other cafe on the same lane. The front two lawn tables and side lawn tables have a mind blowing view of the Arabian sea accompanied by lawn on the cliff’s walkway. We can experience Some sort of Vibes which are different than the most of the Café.

Best place for an evening visit.

The ambience here during dinner times is the best thing about this place. The food is also good and even though the prices seems a bit high (which is actually ok compared to other good eateries in varkala), the portions are huge. We had tandoori chicken, Mac and cheese, pasta and steak. All of them were good. We also had a latte and that was also fine. The waiter who took our orders were also very helpful and made some good suggestions.

If you go for pasta then do not order white sauce, it was not good

It is a decent cafe near Varkala cliff. The service is slow. But it has nice roof top which has nice beach view. We had lasagna, pasta and fish tikka. They were very tasty. But bruschetta was horrible. It was just a bread with tomatoes. They also serve beer but only Kingfisher. All over it is a good place for nice candle light dinner.
