No temple build. The idol of Lord Aditya is on the wall of the street towards ghat.

It is very old temple said to be one of dwaadasa adityas present in kaasi, story goes as Yama son of Surya did penance here for blessings of his father, Surya bhagwan when appeared left one of his aansh here, also said there was a temple here before which was destroyed, now only small idol stands there at that exact location where Yama did penance & Surya bhagwan appeared.

Varanasi has been home to numerous Surya-related temples. Predominantly lord Surya is worshipped in following twelve forms in Varanasi Arun Aditya, Drupad Aditya, Ganga Aditya, Keshava Aditya, Kakholkh Aditya, Lolark Aditya, Mayukh Aditya, Sambha Aditya Uttarark Aditya, Vimal Aditya, Vriddh Aditya & Yama Aditya. Probably only city in India where one can find such 12 Aditya Temples. In ancient times Yamraj established Yameshwar “Shivlinga” and an idol of Suryadev namely “Yama Aditya” at Yamghat and started worshipping it. As per beliefs, if devotees worship Yama Aditya after having a dip in Yamteerth, they don’t have to face the Yam (death). Simultaneously, if a devotee performs Pind daan in Yamteerth on Tuesday and on Bharni Nakshatrayukta Chaturdashi, she/he can be freed from Pitra Rin.

Adityay namah....Small temple besides stairs passing through Scindia Ghat towards Ghasi tola.As I heard and read about Surya bhagwan , it is come to my knowledge that people who get rid from pitri rin ( owe to father) in terms of shashtra and puran do come and pray to God Yamaditya on particular day as mentioned here in on a stone pasted here on the wall. Read it carefully.Drawback of this place- this place is on the stairs no particular temple place. So do worship on the way of people. It might distract you while worshipping or disturb those people to go that way.
