Very peaceful and divine place situated near to Ganga,good place for meditation.generally opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 8:00 p.m. U can come here by boat or also take Auto. If u take road u have to walk 1-2 km to reach there.

This place carries an aura of peace and divine energy. One can experience bliss while meditating inside. It has a place where Lahiri Mahasaya Jis ashes are kept. Theres a big shivling also that belongs to His family. The place is blessed with the statues of Lahiri Mahasaya and Babaji. There are two more statues of Mahasayas family that I dont remember. One can sit and meditate in front of Babaji, Lahiri Mahasayas Guru, and the experience will be a fond memory for the rest of life. If one gets a chance visit it and gain a spiritual blessing. Theres a attendent who guides people with the knowledge of the place and the Great Gurus.

I went there on Guru Purnima it is open all year round but the samadhi is open only on Guru Purnima. So there are two places related to Lehri Mahashay in the same gully. The samadhi is closed and opens only on Guru Purnima from 8 in the morning to 12 noon after that it closes. People from far of places visit it so there is a long queue . Anyone going there on a random day can visit this Ashram which is on chausatti ghat ahead of this samadhi.

This is the residence of Shri Shibendu Lahiri, great grandson of Sri Sri Shyamacharan Lahiri. The family lineage of Yoga initiation. A holy place.

Serene n peaceful experience. Its a bit difficult to find this place, very few people know about it. Theres a chillim shop at the start of Shri Ramacharan Lahiri Marg and theres a shivakashi guest house which is on make my trip in the same compund next to this. Poojari comes between 11-12 and thats the only time its open.

For 4 times I have been in Varanasi and I found some difficulties to arrive to the temple bicouse stragely it is not to much known here.after have entertled inside I felt a suddendly aura of peace , mental cleaness an holy welcome .I rested in pry an meditade a short time near two other indian people undisturbed ad happy.the holiness of the temple hot me strongly and accompanied my life and Kryia holy meditation routine abroad in Bali island in Indonesia

Sri Sri Lahiri Mahashay was one of the greatest Saint of world in the 19th century. He was direct disciple of all time Great Saint Sri Mahavtar Babaji. Sri Lahiri Mahashay was initiated in kriya yog by baba ji so that he can further initiate others in this superfast method of knowing GOD. One of the most secred place in Varanasi. You can feel the vibrations and is a must visit place if you go Varanasi.

Itll be hard to describe the whole experience here but lemme give it a shot. Had wanted to visit Lahiri Mahashays place in Kashi/Varanasi for quite some time after reading so much about him from Sri Sri Paramhansa Yoganandas Book, Autobiography of a Yogi.His blessings and Google maps helped me locate the place in narrow dingy lanes of Varanasi in this Bengali dominated area. These lanes would remind you of Kolkata - bangla signboards, all bong delicacies in sweet shops, people speaking in Bangali... You would also find loads of hippies often smoking pot openly in restaurants inside these narrow lanes. Dont be scared. You wont a city more safe than Varanasi.I was lucky to reach the temple just before the evening Aarti. And, the temple poojari, Mr. Chatterjee was excited to find a visitor in this overcrowded city. Not many people know about this place and hence it remains calm and quiet... I was disheartened to see Mr. Chatterjee in tattered condition - torn socks, torn pale dhoti and his petite skinny famished face. I asked him about the great grand kids of Mr. Lahiri Mahashay ji and was told they visit the place on Gurupoornima every year and on one more special day of the year I guess. One of his great grand sons teaches in Paris now. Mandir has a guest house attached to it but i didnt ask him about its details.The evening Pooja Mr. Chatterjee performed was indeed divine, with recorded drums blazing and the bell rolling around in his hand in the smoke from agarbattis filling the air with its own vibrations from another dimension. I meditated to my hearts content here and also in the separate room where you would find an impressive majestic moorti of Mahaavtar Baba ji and hoped for divine blessing and bid good bye/pranams to the temple poojari.

We visited this place today at 5pm but it was closed..People staying nearby told its closed nowadays and they open only on GuruPurnima...

This is the place where great Lahidi mahasay lived and taught kriya yoga. His house is nearby where he lived.
