This place is packed in evening so prepared to wait for roughly 15 minute for a table. This place is quite popular as you can tell that people who come here are locals. The food is tasty and fresh. If you are not a big eater I recommend sharing the dosa with a second person as it could be heavy for one person. Plus it won’t be great eating afterward if you think of packing to go. I ordered the eggplant dosa. It was a bit of a wait probably 20 minutes as it is made fresh and tasty. You get a little side of tomato chutney, mint coconut chutney and a veggie soup.
One of the best dosas Ive ever had! The dosa came out perfectly crispy along the edges with just the right amount of chicken curry in the center. These things are also MASSIVE, I had to take the rest home with me.We also tried the lentil flour donuts (yum) and veggie pakoras. Both very delicious as well.Hole in the wall place serving up authentic flavours. Ill definitely be back.
To say that we enjoyed this place would be an understatement! We ended up coming twice in one week! My kids first time having dosa...and they fell hard! This place serves up the most delicious dishes ever! Everything was so fresh and flavourful! My Butter Chicken dosa was incredible! My husbands Palek was divine! The kids cheese dosa were amazing...and so fun! The Chai was great! Mango shake and lemonade...all so tasty! The Chicken 65 was unbelievable! The chicken samosas were super tasty and the utthappam were so fresh and light! Do yourself a favour and go here immediately!!
Got takeout from Dosa Corner.Nice service at the counter. The Paper Masala Dosa came with coconut and tamarind chutneys and sambar. The serving sizes of everything was good. The dosa had good flavour and tang, the potato filling was tasty, and I really liked the coconut chutney. The sambar was actually the best part. Not watery and with the right amount of ingredients and spice.Unfortunately for me the other dishes were not as good. The Chicken 65 looked very dark. The spice was fine but the chicken was dry. The Paneer Pakora was the opposite. The outer coating was too oily. The Paratha was so tough that it was difficult to pull apart and chew. While the Paper Masala Dosa as a complete meal was good, the other dishes had a negative impact. My review then is based on the service and the dosa.Daniel
Briyani flavors were good, but less spice. Lamb curry was ok. Flavor was missing in the dosa and sambar. The idli was not light and fluffy like it uses to be. Before the taste was great, but the last few times it has been flavorless.
Really tasty food. Tasted authentic just like in South India. We had dosas and everything tasted great. Definitely recommend.
Tasty and yummy food:) wonderful service. Will be back again
This place is the bomb! We always get great tasting food from here! We eat at dosa corner atleast 2-3 times a month even though its a good 30-40 min drive from our place. I love this place!
Amazing food, the quality and taste is really good.
Best south indian restaurant in Vancouver so far I have had. The wait time can be longer as it is a small space. But its worth every minute. The food was fresh and mouth watering . They have a very good menu option. Worth a try. Definitely will be going back again
Quit western food. Start eating this stuff dailyLive longer smarter and in a better mood. White people dont know anything about cooking. Let the indians run the show!!!
Loved the dosa. Saravanan (chef) is excellent at what he does.
Been here a couple of times, however this last time I visited must admit the food was of a much higher quality than ever before. The dosa was crispy to perfection. The buttermilk had curry leaves which is just as authentic as back home and the Dahi vada while a tad bit sweet, was delicious.
Saag mutton dosa. Thats all you need to know. If thats the last thing I eat, I would be so happy. The lamb is very tender and so delicious. The restaurant is hard to get to, it looks decrepit from outside, the service is a little hurried but gosh, the food is divine. Fresh ingredients, chutney and authentic. You can forget about your next meal because it is quite filling.
Authentic flavors of South India, very courteous and welcoming staff, prices are very reasonable
There are so many options when it comes to South Indian Food in the Lower Mainland but there are very few places that are/have been consistent with their Taste/quality/price for years !This is one of those places in-spite of high turnover of staff , chefs etc !1. Great selection on their Menu .2. Value for money3. Dine in or take out , food is consistent4. Customer service can be improved5. Clean and hygienic
Medu vada was fresh and the tasty, the price for the food was reasonable.
Very nice dosa. Fast service. Clean and reasonable
Awesome food and sambhar is so so delicious. I ordered chili onions uttapam and onion rava dosa. They both were so so good in taste.
Dosa corner is one of those hidden gems in Vancouver. If you are looking for the best Dosa in BC you must visit Dosa Corner. The seating area is on the smaller side, but that is a minor trade off. Great quality authentic south Indian food at very reasonable prices is what you will get in return. Ample street parking for free is a added bonus.
One of the best place to eat South Indian dosa.
Probably my go to spot for dosa. I have been here almost 10 times and I always get the eggplant dosa which is my favourite. I like to get the filling on the side so the dosa stays crispy. Uttapams and curries are great too. Pretty much everything on the menu is delicious, flavourful, and filling though. Overall amazing, quality food at a fair price. Ive never had a bad experience. Staff are pretty friendly too. Visiting this spot will definitely be a worthwhile experience.
Whats going on here the money people spend deserve better then this
Great lunch specials! Dont skip the dosas, there are some great veggie options.
More people need to know about this place. It’s awesome!
Good south Indian food options. Also non vegetarian food available.
Flavourful dosas with great texture. Some places have too much potato or too thick dough, but this was just right. Also tried their vindaloo curry, and boy, the spice packed a punch!
By far the best dosa and uttapam I have had in Vancouver!A must must must try!I feel they can make the place look more nice to make the experience perfect.
We went there late. The service was ok. People working there were friendly. We ordered several plates and the level of spiciness was ok. I just wish they would have asked for each of us because some people like it less spicy. One suggestion to management: please use calmer music videos played on the TV. Too much noise isnt ever a good idea for a dinner setting.
The food never had abundance of flavour everything just tasted like pepper.
One of the hidden gems inside an Industrial area. Good Indian food and love it!
The food is so delicious and amazing. They make it perfect to your heat levels . Lamb Dosa is our favourite . Go for it and enjoy
I ordered Idli here. I got frozen ones. They didnt even care to heat them properly. They charged me $10. You be the judge.
My favourite dosa place in Vancouver. Jaipur dosa is a must 👌🏼
Lamb curry dosa was tasty with a good amount of meat. The daal was very good.
Only my second dosa experience. The first, NOT at this restaurant, was horrible. I was a bit traumatized.I finally decided to give the dosa another chance, and Im glad I did. There were so many varieties of dosas to choose from. I ended up ordering a lamb mixed vegetable dosa. It was delicious!I also sampled my wifes meal, vegetable biryani. Also very delicious!Service was also very good. I cant wait to come back and try some other items, like their curries.
Amazing dosas, maintain consistently good taste
Just good ol south indian/sri lankan yumminess!
Great dosa, fast service.
Great food, service and music😊
Really good food and taste
Great taste and wide variety of dishes..
Honest and good food at very reasonable prices. If you want flavourful authentic south Indian cuisine from a honest family run restaurant, this is the place for you. I had the lamb dosa and you would be hard pressed to find a more filling tasty meal for under 14 dollars. Chicken samosas with chutney are a good light snack. Chai was also done right. Read the comment book on the front desk, everyone says its like home cooking. Very true.
Excellent place to have dosas!Employees are very helpful and polite
This is one of the best Indian places in the area. There lamb biryani and chicken biyarani is to die for! I also really like the chicken 65 alone (I didnt prefer tge chicken 65 biyarani).
This little low-key place is easily one of the best South Indian restaurants in Vancouver, if not the Lower Mainland. Their food always tastes incredibly fresh and authentic. The service is quite nice, very attentive, and make good recommendations. As for my recommendations, try the Bhel Puri, Daal Vada, Idli, and the Jaipuri Dosa.
Have been going there a number of years food is always good always busy on weekends which is no surprise. Good value and food is exceptional especially the dosas which I cant resist not ordering. I thank the owner for paying attention to quality and taste and reasonable prices.
Goat curry dosa is spectacular. Toothsome, tender, big servings, beautifully spiced.
Dosa combo is the best!It comes with masala dosa(potato curry stuffing), one idli and one vada with two chutneys and sambar. You will feel pretty full after this. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to give a shot at dosa and other south Indian tiffins( breakfast items).Only tried this for now. Will explore more if I ever visit. Keep up the good job guys and may be you can reduce the oil a little bit in dosa. :)
Tried the place after receiving glowing recommendations from various sources. The ambience is nothing special, but the food is pretty decent, with a good variety on the menu. The coffee though, was disappointing. Tried the Mysore masala dosa and the meat (chicken) masala dosa. The latter was basically chicken curry plus potato inside the dosa, not mighty impressed, but not too bad either. The Mysore masala dosa was much better, it had a good mix of spices and hit the right spot. Its a 3.5 star experience. Though, will come back to try more stuff.
Deliciously perfect amazing food
Very fast service. Good food
Tried their Chicken Biryani and Masala Dosa. Their Dosa and Sambar is good, kind of expect that when you have stellar reviews and the name of your shop is Dosa Corner. Chicken Biryani is good but not great, I have had better and finding the perfect Chicken Biryani still eludes me in Vancouver. Overall a solid 4 stars and will be trying different stuff from their menu in the future.
Good food. I had paneer Dosa, they have big portions. I liked their coconut ginger chutney.
Great food at an extremely discounted price. Definitely one of the best restaurants you can go to if you’re craving South Indian food. The restaurant may be small but don’t let that demean you from their excellent quality and patronage.
NOT RECOMMENDED. We ordered a masala dosa and a paneer masala dosa both were taste less. I can make a better dosa at home tbh.p.s. they don’t have the green chutney that usually goes with pakoras and samosas.
Good food and service
The tiffins, sambar and the chutneys are tasty, but it is too ridiculous how they charge you for extra chutney or sambar. They wouldnt even give enough for each person on the table and yet they charge you if you ask for extra. Other than it everythings good
Best Dosa in North America
Good food. Authentic taste of South Indian food. I went there many times in last one month and always find the place consistent with good taste and service. I specially like its rava dosa, sambhar vada and masala dosa. Rava dosa takes 20-30 min so prepare to wait. This place is quite busy on weekends so avoid going on weekends.
Very tasty. Great portion sizes at a good price. Hot takeout. Many, many sauces. Yup. Definitely will go again!
We passed by and ordered take away 2 days ago. The food tasted good, price was reasonable, I would like to try again or recommend to friends!
Fast service, delicious food, friendly staff.
Dosa and Madu vada is very delicious
I liked the butter chicken, but the side items could be better. Specially, the naan. Service speed is good and environment is okay
Nice food!
Great service, delicious food, big portions.
It was good I mean a good one but I dont want to say it good but that was good which was told by my friend that its good so I think its good now for a reason to be a good restaurant 😊
At first glance, this place doesnt look like much but has swept us off our feet.Me and my gf have eaten our way through Toronto and Vancouver, always looking for our next Indian food fix. This place fits the bill. She swears by the Eggplant Curry (shes vegetarian) and I love all the chicken dishes. The craziest part is all these flavours are served at dirt cheap prices. While we always try to venture out and find new restaurants, this place has become our old faithful. We find ourselves returning to Dosa Corner again and again. Thanks for the great food!
Good dosas, clean place. When packed in a box, however they don’t stay crispy even after five minutes.
Aswesome yummy food 😋. Must came. Everyone is friendly and nice.
Best dosa in Vancouver, owner is very friendly and nice. I know him when they had the location in surrey. Quality of dosa and chutney always fresh. Reasonable prices.
