I love Six Flags, were fortunate to have 4 theme parks in LA and this is by far the best for thrill seekers not just in LA but in the US. Yes there are things to be improved like food options, decor, trams, and the app needs help, especially for Android. Despite that, Six Flags is my favorite when I want some thrills.

As a thrill seeker, this is the best place in Southern California to make a trip to. It has some more family oriented attractions, but the big draw, hands down, is the all star lineup of coasters. Definitely made for those wanting a wide variety of coasters, flat rides, and some great experiences. Only downside is the food options. Overpriced, but they do offer a good variety at least. Would suggest getting at least 2 days here to experience everything and recover. Be aware, this park is situated on a hill, so there will be uphill climbs.Definitely a slower pace is recommended especially if you come on a hot day. Make sure to pack light, stay hydrated and have fun! (It was 90-92 degrees on my recent visit, but it was during the week too so it was a ghost town.)

Came during the peak summer saturday. The line for the famous rides are well over 2 HOURS!!! so I bought their PLATINUM flash pass for addition extra of $155 on top of $73.99 online weekend admission fee plus $25 parking. Was it worth it? Absolutely, but i felt bad for those people that stood in line for hours just for a single ride that lasted less than 3 minutes. Why 3 stars from me.1. Very inefficient operation. THEY SHOULD’VE FILLED EVERY SINGLE SEAT AND CALLING FOR SINGLE RIDER!!! but they don’t bother to do that like what DISNEY & UNIVERSAL DO!!!2. X2 Coaster only working 1 instead of 2. I waited for an Hour even with the PLATINUM flash pass (luckily it was my last ride of the day) i ask random people how long they have been waiting until the ride using regular line. They said they have waited for more than 3 HOURS!!!If you have money to burn 🔥 buy the PLATINUM flash pass and eat the cost. Well worth the cutting line. Otherwise don’t go if you just paying the admission only. You’ll end up wasting your time waiting in line.On the positive note though, The new WEST COAST ride is well worth it, even if u waiting in regular line. Very smooth and long 2 times coaster ride

Dirty, LONG lines, attractions closed, no sense of urgency with staff, unhappy employees, one car working on most attractions, set up for those that pay the most, 40 min wait for drink refills on $35 refill cup. It took seven minutes from stop to go for Fast Track users to get loaded and 3 min for regular line customers on the Ninja. Two hour wait for X2. Six Flags will have to make major improvements for this amusement park enthusiast to return.UPDATE: Back when I posted this review I reached out to Six Flags to ask for a refund of the season passes I purchased. Six Flags responded with offering Four front of the line passes to the old roller coasters. Which will be hard to use since I will not return. I responded challenging the generic offer however, I never heard back. After seeing the request to reach out that Six Flags posted on my review, I have. We will see if they really care about their customers?

Have always loved this Amusement Park since I was super little. It has only gotten better. So many awesome rides for big and little kids.😁 During covid had to wear masks of course. Lines were longer due to spacial distancing on the coasters. Skipping every other seat. But we get it. Show up early to go to those coasters u really wanna go on. Got super busy in the afternoon, lines most likely at least an hour. Hard to do when you have kids that cant ride it yet. My kids did like the rides they got on, coasters and smaller rides. Overall a great first time for them. They want to go back for sure!

Taking the day as a whole, I had a good time and would recommend that people spend their time and money on a day here. The first part of my day was rough in participating in their One Day Dining as it was unclear how to begin using it. Although my party had an easy time navigating their web site and purchasing this, it took several hours until I was able to get a drink in my possession. I first attempted to get a drink at a restaurant that was not able to help me (unclear why) I then spent an hour waiting to talk to someone in their Membership Services line to find out that they could not help me. Then over an hour at one of their restaurants who actually took my information and was able to give me a drink. It is unclear why it was so challenging to receive a drink after I paid for it. After the pass was activated it was easy to use. I also had a fantastic time absorbing their rides. The earlier delay was erased by the experiences of the day.

Trams are NOT running between park and parking lot, so that sucks. No characters and no live shows. The rides were great so far for what I got to ride, but the food service is just something I have never experienced in my life. Lines to either get food or refill your drink were almost an hour long or more and when trying to use the mobile food ordering to make it quicker it would have actually been quicker to wait in the regular line. The food lines were like this all day past 12 and even around park closing which was a huge disappointment for me since whats the point of getting a drink cup or meal plan if you have to wait an hour to use it. This was for a Monday which I never expected to be busy

Do not go. Not right now. It was hot and crowded. It took us 1 and a half hours to get the car into the front gate and parked. Even though we were there for seven hours we only had time to ride 2 rides and get in line for food once. This was because the lines were that long. All the rides had long lines. Some of the rides kept temporarily closing for technical difficulties. All the food and drink lines were extremely long too. And it was hot. It was a waste of our time and money. Otherwise, they have some pretty awesome rides if you can get on them.Oh, and bathroom lines were very long! This park has the least amount of information available online or at the park itself. I mean for anything. I had several questions about going and what to bring but could not get a person on the phone. Once at the park there are almost no signs for which way to go, the direction of the line, entrance, water fountains etc. If there was a sign it was easily missed.

Theme parks are always fun; the fact I could use my phone for the flash pass was a time saver. I purchased the gold, I believe, flash passes that cut line time in half. Most rides ranged from 3 minutes to 30. The longest ride we waited for was the rapids due to it being so hot which was 1 HR. We reserved that time, had lunch and was ready right after. The food lines were incredibly long (covid related under staffing was to blame). I highly recommend wearing shorts and a cool top, and bring an extra pair of socks and sunscreen. Stay hydrated !

Review №38

So, Six Flags is a wonderful theme park for those adrenaline junkies out there. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because as often as Ive gone Ive noticed that they close certain rides. Especially my favorite which is X2. This ride is either closed or they have just one train in operation. Maintenance on these roller coasters must not be easy, constantly breaking down like McDonalds ice cream machines or Otis elevators. But I dont know the engineering behind them. The good thing is they have enough rides to enjoy. The lines are long so if you want to save money go during school days when theres less teenagers on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Otherwise, get the Flash Pass but that costs extra. Dont expect the food to be good, anyone can tell you. I had a coworker that enjoyed a Turkey leg. I dont know where in the park they serve better tasting food so dont ask me. If you go in the summer expect the summer heat and prepare yourself for the walking. If you go in the winter, it gets really cold especially when the wind is hitting you as you fly through a coaster ride. I think that covers it, and the rides are way better than Disneyland rides or Knotts. Enjoy.

Outsiders beware not so much hospitality nor parking for disabilities. They dont honor military, veterans, government officials, they there to take take take what they want. Children were dying for cold water, some areas wont even give a straw or clean cups. But also they wont take cash, it all charge account credit card. If your online it so difficult understand their, flash pass. LA resident know how to utilize their time, outsiders beware. Bring empty large bottles for refill, or a camel pack, extreme hot and barely any shade or water around. Seen many wheelers and many scooter riders. The only thing is the extreme lines, probably it is summer, but so slow. Or just be alongbthe rides. Even if you reserve online, be cautious ⚠️ about the whole situation. Have fun!

It felt sooooo good to be back on the rides :)Six Flags is doing a good job in keeping everyone safe. Trains are not fully loaded and six feet markers are everywhere to be found on the floors. One can make things personally safer, by NOT touching anything while in line. A lot of kids, teens, folks in general, touch everything! By not doing so, youre off to a good start. After each ride, before you touch your face again, make it a point to use hand sanitizer and then you are good. I was very impressed today. Make sure to make a park reservation, because without it you will not be admitted. You also need to go through a temperature check booth. Six Flags will keep everyone safe regarding riding itself. I was a single rider and they made sure I was never with someone, even when three seats were lost. Really appreciated this effort (see photo of me in it) A+++

The service was not great so if you do this be sure to get a watch. I did not know about this and got one hours after I purchased the fast pass since my phone had splotchy service. Also recommend hopping in fast pass line before it shows ready to ride as we waited about 20 to 40 minutes per ride in fast pass line. Def get food early if you go as the lines fill up quick in the later afternoon. Pay attention to if it is mobile order, refill, or actual food line. If you wait in line in the afternoon it can take awhile. With the fast pass we rode about 5 coasters and were at the park all day. That was due to the service we received, and were sent all over with issues we had initially with the pass. Def get the watch and you should be good.

That zero g stall on the second pass was amazing. Was able to snag an Oreo funnel cake mid day Sunday with absolutely no line, and it was everything its hyped up to be, but trying to get food was a miserable experience with extreme long lines, wait staff that is not motivated to quickly serve, and mediocre food took away from our overall experience. The Six Flags Magic Mountain light show is a great idea to get families out of the house and embrace the Christmas season. I applaud the concept. The execution however, seems a bit rushed. I expected more for $30 per person. I enjoyed the few live performances including drummers, dancers, and of course Santa. Given that were all in cars, outdoors, and the performers were distanced from one another, I didnt feel they should have been made to wear masks. It just reminded me of what I was trying to forget. While many of the lights were interesting, they seemed sparce and lacking given the size of the venue. We passed through some man-made snow, which added to the festive energy. I had our car washed so we could all enjoy clean windows for the show not realizing that wed have our windows open for even better viewing. I didnt anticipate the artificial snow would leave small spots all over the car. I am grateful that our local park tried to brighten our spirits, but I know they could do much better.

Restaurants are incredibly slow with huge lines - eat early if you can. All of the vending machines were empty 30 minutes after opening, never to be refilled again. Some rides have misters like Goliath, but they were off in above 100° weather. Im curious how hot it has to be for misters to be on.The rides themselves were fun though. I recommend Viper. X2 line was, you guessed it, slow.

It was sooo rediculously expensive and the employees were all stuck up the rides were fun and over all me n my fiance had a good time there was probably one worker there who stood out and knew how to do his job . As far as the food there I had a hamburger and fries it didnt come with any condiments just ketchup bags but the iced cream was delicious

If you need some adrenaline to your blood this place is for you. All kinds of roller-coasters to any taste. Superman ride will stop your breath for a while with its 100 mph speed. And the Batman ride will give you a feeling of driving batplane. They have some roller-coasters for kids as well. So, everyone will be satisfied with the trip to this park.

We arrived at 10:20 am. We got through the parking line and made the walk to the entrance in about 25 minutes. When we first got through the gate, we headed straight for the legendary rides. We did not have to wait in lines. Pretty much a 2 minute wait for nearly all rides until at 12:30.We got in a food line at 12:30, took about 30 minutes to wait, order, pay, and get food. After eating lunch, the lines for rides had started to develop. Waited in line for about 20 minutes for Riddlers Revenge. 45 minute wait for other rides after that. The refillable drink cup was great, but the lines were also about 30 mins to get a refill. Best to just bring a water bottle or buy drinks at vending machines. If you get there as the park opens, you will wait less.Overall, the park was clean, people were cool, and it was 100°F so BRING SUNSCREEN!!

The rides are cool, my daughter really liked it but the lines for the food & also for the rides are a disaster. I spent more time in linea for food than actually enjoying the rides, plus the staff at each station were really grumpy & it seems that they dont want to work there. Overall my experience was ok but i feel that for the price should be better

Magic mountain should fix their mobile ordering app before making it mandatory at some restaurants in the park. Very often, the mobile pick up line is longer that the regular lines. Also, they should offer a discount for memberships other than Diamond Elite members. Example= Fright Fest
