I planned for a 7 day solo trip and ended up staying here for a month (and 2 in Goa😂).Amazing folks to interact with,Work from home vibes in morning,Chill and laid back Goan vibes in evening and crazyyy musical nights.I enjoyed everything at this place and the hosts will make sure that youre having a good time.Go ahead and book this place if youre looking for serenity mixed with a dash of craziness.

Rootsvilla is a beautiful place. It has an amazing ambience, the surroundings are very clean and peaceful. The food was also great. It was our first experience at a hostel and we loved it!! Do NOT buy anything in the hostel, they had a drinks night and gave us all shots without mentioning that they are paid and then tried to charge each person for 5-6 shots. after bring called out for this the managers brother was not accepting his mistake and lied and told the manager that we abused him? after which the manager threatened us with violence and tried to kick us out of the hostel.

This was my first hostel experience and I was very apprehensive before reaching but it was a great experience. Rooms and bathroom were clean . The staff was super friendly and helpful specially Bapan and Sagar , they went out of their way to help us .

This place totally rocks! It was my first experience of a travellers hostel. The owners, Shubhangi and Suraj are brilliant, and so are the staff, Bapun and Pratik.If you are someone looking to make friends, and have an adaptable, adjusting attitude as long as your living habits are concerned, you will have the time of your life here.Two things that I especially loved about my experience here were:1) The cleanliness of the bathrooms.2) The superfast Wi-fi, which made working from home a breeze while I stayed here.In addition, there are parties in the hostel every other week, which you can join if you like. Or if youre the type who likes to go to bed on time, and sleep peacefully, you can do that too. The noise never gets very high, even when everyones freaking out at night.The people I met here were friendly, accommodating and welcoming, and I found it easy to make friends and find company for whatever I wanted to do. I never once got lonely.

The concept of Rootsvilla is amazing with its owner being the most warm and comforting person. Close to the beach, this place has great accommodation facilities,an in-house garden with a cute seating area, a library where you can spend your lazy times. It offers cool activities like cycling around the city,Yoga classes and therapy sessions with fitness trainings. There are movie nights and themed dinners with wonderful live performances. After watching a great scenic sunset you can visit the flea market for local souvenirs. In a nutshell, if you love being with fellow travellers in a peaceful and comfortable hostel, Rootsvilla in North Goa is a beautiful stay.

Rootsvilla is one of the finest properties in Goa. I originally planned a trip of a couple of days but have extended my stay here for a couple weeks now.I came to Goa alone on a solo trip but haven’t felt alone for a single second. The guest and the owners are extremely warm and welcoming and make you feel like you’re at home! The owners specifically are the best hosts I’ve ever met and have taken me out every single night of my stay here, be it parties, beaches or good places to eat we’ve covered it all. The ambiance is extremely cool with cocktail and bbq nights happening every other night. Rootsvilla has made this trip extremely memorable for me and I’ll highly recommend everyone who’s planning to visit Goa to stay with them👍

Visited the property in the first week of may, have no regrets with my selection. A perfect pocket friendly (whenever u drop by .. considering market rate) dorm to drop at. They have both Ac and Non Ac dorms. They offer communal meals which too are reasonably priced. The hosts Payal and Suraj (if i remember right) offer maximum support when in need, so does Bapun (if hez still around). Thanks for making my stay memorable, plan to visit soon during this monsoon, will reach out soon. Gd.

Location is great but please avoid non AC rooms to save yourself.from.mosqitos.

If You consider Someone as your family then u need to stick up to your family dont just abandon them. Pros. You get Ac and bed to sleep. Cons- they Need proper chef who can cook good food. They need more staff to take care of guest and train present staff how to talk and cook. They need proper event management caz they also dont know where they are taking you . It can be more good just need a little more heartwarming welcome and experience.

The host and staff were really nice.

Great space with a nice outdoor terrace. The room was very clean and spacious. The owner Suraj is wonderful and even gave us his number and helped us during the rest of our travels. Really friendly and courteous staff, available 24x7 at the help desk. The guy named Bapun he is very friendly with everyone. And the bathrooms also very neat and clean, anyone can rate it 10/10. The hostel definitely creates a great vibe for travelers. Easy for solo travelers to meet.

So we were first greeted with a peahen flying over us! We were aww struck! Loved our stay here! Pretty, quaint and worth every penny! Such friendly staff, clean rooms and bathrooms! Also apt for a perfect vacation!Since its placed in Vagator, the crowd you meet is very different. Importantly, all the must visit North goa spots are a bike ride away!Would highly recommend this hostel for all bag packers who wants a peaceful stay with places to chill and party 15minutes away!

Had a really bad experience the owner suraj was extremely arrogant. I and my friends had just arrived in goa we went straight to rootsvilla hostel as we had booked rooms there but the owner denied the booking and asked us to find for some other place also didnt agree on giving us the refund back!!!

We were a group of girls exploring goa for the first time but these guys made it all easy for us.From airport booking to scooty on rent.These guys helped us a lot with everything.Highly recommend for female travellers.

Have visited here recently in Jan month and stayed here for 8 to 9 days. Have been to many hostels in past especially in Goa but trust me this is so far the best one to opt. Suraj is fantastic host and helps u in all aspects.he knows his client well.Baapun is available 24 hrs for any kind of services related to food, room cleaning, washing clothes etc. He is also good chef. They treat u like family hence looking forward to meet them soon.

It was my first solo trip to Goa and Im so glad I chose Rootsvilla.At first I felt I may not fit into the environment but the housekeeping insisted I stay for a day and then decide.This place is very well kept,the bathrooms,the bunk beds and the outdoor are all neatly maintained on a daily basis.Its pocket friendly,and even offers all 3 meals at a gud price.Fud has variety and taste,the dhal leaves an everlasting memory.I rated 5 stars because of the host- Suraj,an absolute gentleman,he makes sure your comfortable and arranges every need with delight.Every other party spot, and beaches are around Rootsvilla and very easy to commute,I eventually ended up staying for a week and will definitely visit again.🤗🤗🤗🤗

One of the best place to stay in Vagator. Rootsvilla is the type of hostel. You can come for work from home. Basically it has ac rooms + non ac rooms. The cost of non ac per day is 250 - 290 and ac is 600 - 800. It depends on apps. Which app you usually preferred. The owner of rootsvilla is very kind hearted person. His name is suraj. All the staff are very nice and cooperative. You can come with groups and friends.

Good experience here, calm and positive place and budget stay. it is not suitable for family stay. because all bachulors type people will stay here,

One of the best stays I had in recent years of traveling, rates are cheap as compared to other locations at Vegator. Staff is very humble, there is a guy named Bapan, is very humble by nature. Hell adjust everything you want , you just need to tell them what you want. Please make sure about the menu prices before you make any order. Thank me later 😊

Its one of the hostel which is very close to Chapora Fort, Vagator and Anjuna beach. Baga and Calangude beach is like 15 mins with your two wheel drive.Affordable hostel, staff is good and friendly they have AC and Non-AC dormitory.Enough parking space, free Wifi but you should always carry your back-up as Mobile Data.If you wish to have food, just 5 mins walkable theres local tea, food joints and Restaurants S well.Its very peaceful so enjoyed staying there, I bet Ill come there again.

I had a comfortable stay. AC dorm, a huge space to relax. Rooms, bunks and bathrooms are clean. Right place to chill with the gang. I booked for 2days and then extended my stay. Really a very friendly atmosphere. Hosts Suraj and Anil who are very friendly and guided me very well. Without going out you can also have tasty food there, which is prepared and served by Sourav.

The place is quite and peaceful. The amazing thing about Roots is surabh. He is the one who is in charge here. He is a lovely kid and yes keeps the place clean and tidy. Reasonable too.

Very homely, comfortable stay - there are 3 rooms each with 6 beds (bunk beds) and an attached toilet (spacious one). It also has one common toilet which also can be used. There is also full set cooking facility. And also has washing machine. If one want to have a cooked food there is a separate small menu card. Over all very neat place, quite. Best place for group and home parties... It also has a terrace which is used for party. It also has amply parking space. Must visit.... The rates are also cheaper, though it may fluctuate as per the season.

Not good. I advised early checkin and they agreed. When arrived 6am after red eye flight no one answer phone and some guy passed out in reception with alcohol bottles everywhere and really dirty kitchen...i needed bathroom but no one attend. Really dirty place. I left straight away. Nothing like the photos and extremely over priced. Always check how many reviews that make up the final score.
