The Iconic Jazz Cafe is a wonderful venue to enjoy musical performances. The sound acoustics is of high quality π making the live performance sound just like listening to the actual recording. They provide a very safe environment whether you are attending solo or with a group. The artist in my picture is recording artist, Howard Hewett, stellar performance π.
Brilliant evening at the Jazz cafe upstairs in the restaurant watching a great show. Excellent food and service. What a great date night or out with friends. Always have to book up early in advance for restaurant the seats tho.. Always worth it!
Really great venue. Nice friendly security reasonably priced drinks and with a good array of selection too. Live music here is second to none and would not hesitate coming back. Good job
They used to be a good venue. But after the pandemic they all are about making money. They sell ticket for 7PM. Performance, and they start letting people in at 7:30 , the program doesnβt start until 8:30. Then what was promised as a flamenco dance program only contains 2 minutes of dance , which due to the lack of space starts as sitting and continues as tap dance! Like Irish dance, ridiculous. They have also turned the upstairs into all restaurant. So the viewing balcony upstairs doesnβt exit anymore. So the whole venue looks like the downstairs of titanic no view with the smell of the stinkiest fish cooking for the restaurant with rude waiters who insult you if you ask them when the balcony upstairs became a restaurant. My last time here. Jazz cafe is no longer a jazz cafe , itβs a restaurant with mediocre performances.
Love it, best event in a while. I danced and today I cant feel my feet.... Amazing night π
Great venue to see some brilliant talent and legends. However, dont let the menu fool you. Small portion for a main is Β£15.00 and the quality of food isnβt that good. I was seriously disappointed as you expect a meal not a starter. Over priced food and small portions. Nah will never book upstairs again. I felt robbed. Eat somewhere nice in Camden, instead of the overprice menu where the food is not up to par!
One of the best and most iconic venues in London. Its intimate enough to make a gig feel special but also big enough that you can feel like you are in a crowd. The sound is excellent and the atmosphere vibrant. There is dining and a cocktail bar upstairs and two bars downstairs serving a mice selection of drinks. I highly recommend this place!
What a great venue for dinner and dancing. The food was lovely and the music was outstanding as we had tickets to see Heatwave. Its always a pleasure going to the Jazz Cafe.
Brilliant venue and the music was incredible. My new favourite spot in London.
I cant believe how bad the sound was, please invest a couple of pounds in good speakers and the stuff is really rude
The placed opened on time. Cosy venue. First time here and I was impressed. Saw Sauti Soul play for a couple of hours. The staff were nice and beers were reasonably priced. Spirits were very expensive. Toilets were clean.Thereβs an upstairs but I didnβt get to go as it was was vip on the night I went.
Told performance started at 7pm, arrive promptly and once inside discover it doesnβt actually start until 8:30pm so we tried to leave and come back at the appropriate time but was told weβre not aloud re-entry and have to sit it in there freezing cold venue where they want you to pay stupid money for there drinks, couldnβt believe it. The act itself was very good take nothing away from them
Love this venue. The refit a few years ago has improved the place too. Lost a star due to the security outside at the end of my last visit shouting at us to move impolitely while we were stood on the pavement (public space). They then almost took us out with the railing as they were putting it away. If my friend hadnt ducked he would have been hit in the head. Otherwise everything else was decent.
A fabulous and fun evening watching Leee John and his talented band
Absolutely fantastic and love the fact you can sit down also
Brilliant music, food and lovely friendly service!!
Absolutely loved this place. Went to see Omar. Great night, amazing atmosphere and great bar staff. What more could you ask for!
Good music/staff/food/drinks. Stays open till 3 am on weekends
Had a fantastic evening there, was taken along by friends for supper and more importantly to see Errol Linton. What a performance, great meal ,great service, and a great view from the balcony table. I couldnt fault anything will the food or the service and most impo8I saw a superb performance. Truly 5 Star. π
Great intimate venue, very friendly and attentive bar staff, great music.I had a thoroughly great evening.I sat downstairs which was drinks and bar snacks (almonds/olives) only, but will try having a meal next time, although noticed that not all seats upstairs have a good view of the stage area.
Super venue with the appropriate covid measures in place. Staff provided a first class service. Food was really good value and views of the stage were also of a high quality.
Always such a great lineup at this place!
Had amazing Freedom Day evening, dancing to Motown, played by incredible band. Great vibe! Thank you for fantastic evening!
Great venue with friendly staff. Food ok.
Intimate venue but drinks are a bit pricey. They dont do cocktails and had very low stock.
Good music by acid arab played on the worst soundsystem Iβve ever heard in that price segment of clubs.
Was great! Missed 1/2 of show as wasnt clear what time the show started. Which was a shame, but still had a fun time. Defo will go again.
Went to see Howard Hewett with my cousin.Hes an amazing singer and it was a good night out (7/9/2021)π.To the very tall man standing in front of us blocking the view, be more considerate and check whos behind you.
Thought our seated table was upstairs, however it turned out to be downstairs..... first come first served. Staff apologised for any inconvenience, gave us some complimentary snacks (olives) Great night, staff really attentive, knowledgeable regarding cocktails, good customer service, looking forward to a further visit in the not too distant future.
First out out night. We havent stopped talking about the brilliant on point service and amazing food. Omar and all band were outstanding. Thanks for such a great night.
Great place to hang out, I couldnt take my drink outside, so I left it inside, when I came back in my drink was gone, but they replaced it no problem.
A wonderful place that brings together people whoβve longed for live music since the pandemic began.I came here with my friends for a night of live flamenco β it was unforgettable and truly mesmerising!
The only star is for a very nice staff (security and waitresses). The rest, was awful unfortunately. We boutght restaurant tickets, and went an hour before the show started so we can eat. It was so dark upstairs, I had to flashlight the menu to see it (not a bar dark, but dark dark). The worst part was eating, because you couldnt see the food. Horrible experience. I seriously never had food in the dark. I ordered a burger (~Β£15) and after first bite the oil just splashed all over. I turned my phones light, and I saw that I was eating a medium rare burger! No one asked me how I would like to have that, so I thought it would be well done as everywhere else...spend lots of money on food, and left super dissapointed.
Great venue. Good service at the bar. Great atmosphere
Always a pleasure at the Jazz Cafe. Went last night for an intimate gig with Verb T & illinformed, had the best time. Great to be back, and what a lovely place to be back. Drinks were great, table service was great, tip top all round!
Great for live music, but the bar is a let down. Not much choice for beer, and having to argue to get ice in a glass of water.
Love this place! Live music, good food, dancing and affordable
Excellent venue. Nice staff, efficiently run bar and great atmosphere
Yeah just what we needed! Buzzing welcome to the band, great rhythm, vibe, in such a perfect atmosphere. Add in the food and drink with such attentive delightful staff and youre in Jazz heaven!
Nice and friendly service, but incomplete website. Not information about how many concert and when will begin. They give us information just opening time. The concert was amazing, thank you,but .....
Great venue. Have been a number of times, never disappoints. The restaurant seating is fine, food good, but limited selection.
Great place and fun and very well run cant wait to go again!
Ms Jocelyn Brown was truly Amazing, A Pleasure to hear her and her bandπΊπΏππΏππΏππΏππΏππΌπΎ
Great venue for live music friendly atmosphere, helpful staff.I never fail to have a great night here.
Just great to be back ...π Listening to a live band π
Back to see Nearly Dan, fourth date for this gig over 18 months. Awesome as always!
It was easy to get there .enjoy the music love the vibes love it love it live it.
This is still one of the best live music venues in London, one of the few live venues where you can get up and close to the artistes and really feel there vide, Howard Hewett was brilliant looking forward to Jarrod Lawson, my only slight complaint is the price of drinks is a little expensive π
Jazzy...live music always on point!! And the staff are so attentive! Love the place.
I was here to see Conrad Ellis, Where and when will he be performing next do you guys know ? This was my first night out again after covid reduced restrictions and it was handled wonderfully.
Great little venue. really nice feeling, friendly staff, great view of the stage. Saw Kristin Hersh and Fred Abong there who were amazing. My big complaint and the reason for 3 starts is I really wish you didnt serve food while the events are running. The clinking of cutlery and smell of food is extremely distracting. I dont understand why you do this... Or why people want to come to a musical event and eat. It would be 5 stars hands down without this.
Always a nice time at this easy to get too venue.
Its a good place to go and eat and watch a show.....Tonight I went to the Jazz Cafe to see reggae artist Christopher Ellis what a wicked show.....
One of the best nights out Ive had.
Great place and great gig from the guys (Rudimental) πππ
Brilliant music as always we saw Jocelyn Brown
Always very fond of the place, great to be back again.
Amazing gig with rag n bone man, great service and drinks
Great venue for live music glad they survived the pandemic some great live acts.
I love this place... That is all I can say! π
Great vibe, although busy bar staff were efficient and fast, drinks reasonably priced, we went on a Saurday night, dress funky and be prepared to get your grove on!
Visited for a concert recently. Excellent venue, nice and cosy, able to see stage frrom everywhere, drinks were pricey though
Very nice staff, fast service, but I didnt like the chilli crab linguine which felt like just normal Spaghetti with a very light fish broth on it.
Christopher Ellis.... was one of the best performances ever !! Great venue π
Bar ran out of red wine and prosecco.
Amazing food fantastic service.was in London for the weekend and the jazz cafe experience was the highlight off the weekend.would highly recommend a evening at this amazing venue.
Absolutely fantastic venue and staff. Cant wait to return soon.
Intimate live music venue and buzzing club spot
When you listen to, calmly, a concert here and you sit on the floor because you ve been waiting two hours for the concert to start and your back hurts, then the staff come to tell you cannot sit on the floor while there is no available seat (one bench with 5 seats for the ground floor)..... seriously ???I would suggest this to the staff: check the stuff that happens in your toilets, man...This rule is Stupid and useless: jazz cafe is not a upscale place and there is nothing wrong in sitting on the ground.
This new , going out lark is very pleasant isnt it. Jazz Cafe is a smallish, or at any rate, intimate venue where music of many genres can be heard while having a meal and a drink in comfortable surroundings. We ate, upstairs in the gallery, at a table literally above the stage; the food was good, hot, well cooked and I imagine even well presented on the plate. I couldnt be sure of this because it was so dark, that I had trouble finding my delicious vegan burger, even with my fork. The service was the stand-out feature, always polite, friendly and helpful, never intrusive. I felt like my having a good time was genuinely important to everyone I came into contact with, including the 2 members of staff who were on hand outside, helping with the covid check-in on the NHS app. I really hope on my next visit Ill be lucky enough to have the same waitress- Nancy you were brilliant!Yes its pricey, well for my pocket, though its probably normal for London, but go on, treat yourself and enjoy a great evening of quality music.
Dabbla killed it!... Great night.
Always love the acts and the vibes
A brilliant night will be going back
If youre a Londoner, you know this place. If you arent then, well, go to Ronnie Scotts first. Its the Mecca of jazz.Having said that, the Jazz Cafe hosts some epic artists. The music is why you are here, right? Seriously, only come for the music.Food is average, sound could better but the crowd and the gigs make it spectacular.
Great venue, great atmosphere.
