Recommended for sightseeing. Some tricky to get tickets and hidden to found. But real superlatives objects of diamonds, gold, silver, platinum and exemplary jewellery.World famous super Sovjet and Russian diamonds. Presented in classic showcases.
Beautiful collection from 12th century.
Amazing place if you love jewelry and gems !
Grate place to visit and full of history
Amazing exhibition but difficult to get tickets
If you are visiting the Kremlin Armoury during your stay in Moscow, consider stopping by at the Kremlin Diamond Fund. One can see and get to learn about all the kinds of diamonds collected over the years by Russia. Truly an amazing collection. If you are visiting, its worth bearing in mind that the staff is incredibly strict and runs a tight ship, more so than the Kremlin Armoury. If you dont take any pictures or be noisy, your visit to the Diamond Fund will be trouble-free.
Be aware of rudeness and disorganization!!!!From begging , if you are planning to buy a tickets from the office , DO NOT listen cashiers to come 30 min prior!!! The security officer at the check point told as that it will be getting us inside on time. Well , it was not, we were there 45 min outside waiting in the cold and rain!About collection of the Fund itself : sure it was interesting and impressive, BUT our guide ( older lady) was rude and disrespectful. She created the “ rules” that other guides with the groups did not had. We as a group supposed to be staying about 4-5 feet away from the banister of the window in a very particular shape! And if you would not follow you would we condemned! There were no questions to asked! The knowledge and information given to us was very “ dry”, She shows no interest in what she was doing. our guide was rude and unapproachable! After excursions , I had to ask administrators to take that tour over again with different guide.Stay way from the older lady guide!!!!!
The Diamond Fund inside the Kremlin is absolutely stunning! You will see jewels and relics from every aspect of Russian history! Its worth the extra 1000 rubles to see this!
The place contains 2 small rooms with jewelry and Its very complicated to get in. You have to come in advance in order to get a ticket on certain time and then again spend much time waiting in a queue for security check. And there s no possibility to buy tickets online. London Tower its much more interesting with a bigger variety of different items.
I was visiting this place in 1999. There were a lot of historical jewelry. This time most of them gone. They replaced the space with missing items with modern jewelry from Ural mountains and gold nuggets.Especially, I noticed almost all famous big Faberge eggs are gone. I think Putin moved all these treasure in his private collection to his mansions he built over the last 20 years.
Wonderful exhibits with many extreme gems from a variety of regions in Russia. Fabulous collection of diamonds both rough and faceted!
Very impressive museum. When you see a crown with 5000 diamonds, you will spend a few minutes there just looking at it in amazement. And as you walk out of the diamond exhibition, they just put some huge pieces of gold and platinum in the center of the room to see, as if those were some rocks to also mention they happen to have.
Must do while visiting the Kremlin - fantastic collection of diamonds, historic jewels, crowns and ornaments. Also, has some huge pieces of gold and platinum nuggets. Also, instead of waiting for Armoury tickets outside, you can buy the tickets at the shops and counter below diamond fund - much faster and less crowded.
A must see ! A lot of Diamonds - a very lot- to admire, gold in its pure state, jewellery, a few crowns and a sceptre with: a diamond, of course! The place itself is not big. 2 main rooms, will take you 30 min to visit it with the audio guide. Just dont miss it!
After hit walk cold beer and reasonable small servings. Great friends and good food.
Unique collection of rare gemstones... Amazing.
A great collection of diamonds, brilliants, golden and platinum nuggets, royal jewellery. A visit normally takes around 25-40 minutes. They offer you an audio guide free of charge, but to get it you with either leave your passport, drivers license or some 2000 rubies as safety deposit.
A lot of real diamonds uncut and cut.most beautiful jewelry in the world.very small space.impressive place
Very rare collection that was truly beautiful. The russian guide was a bit monotone though, making it hard to remain interested.
Amazing
Yeah... lots of spendy stuff I guess. Just not the guy that likes spending long waits to see a few big stones. So much more to be impressed by and this one just made me want a few hours back. Not 100% waste... and Im sure that some love it... just not my gig.
Really impressive and beautiful
Very good collection dont forget to get the audio tour
Amazing jewelry pieces including beautiful crown of Catherine the Great. Must see for everyone visiting Moscow
Must-visit-place! 👍💎💎💎
Absolutely stunning, I was totally blown away by the collection. Its really well laid out - it starts with rough, uncut diamonds; to cut diamonds of various sizes; then moving on to Russian imperial jewellery; and finally more modern Russian jewellery. Its a small display, should take about 45mins to complete, but very highly recommended and definitely one of the highlights of Moscow. Would have loved to have taken photos, but its strictly not allowed.Theres a lot of confusion around the tickets, but heres a breakdown. You will need a general entrance ticket to the Kremlin complex (the ticket to the Cathedral Square), and you can then buy the ticket to the Diamond Fund either at the main entrance to the Kremlin (ie. before you enter the complex) or even at the entrance to the Diamond Fund building. Entrance to the Diamond Fund is only at certain hours and there is a max number of visitors allowed - and ticket sales are staggered throughout the day.
The largest collection of natural gold nuggets, jewels and precious metals, jewelry appeared in Moscow with Peter the Great, who ordered to form a collection of Russian natural jewels for the glory of Russia and for the benefit of succeeding generations.
Wonderful!
Amazing collection of stones and some are totally breathtaking
Incredible! I cant imagine there are many places in the world where you can see so many beautiful and priceless items in one place.
Amazing, simply beautiful and very impressive collection.
One of the most important collections in the world!
The greatest gold nuggett collection of the world. Nowhere to see so much gold and platinum nuggetts. Their bigest gold nuggett on view more than 33 kg. You can visit there famous diamonds, like Orlov and Shah, and many many more.
Very interesting place! Beautiful!
Even better than the armoury museum
Once.
Not only the jevels of the zars also big pieces of gold, platinum and other minerals
Very beautyfull.
Beautiful and fascinating
Great collection
Good vibes
Don’t miss Diamond Fund here!!!!
Unbelivable
Must visit!
Excursions
Great.
Wow!
Is a must.
SUPER
😍😍😍😍😍
First. The headline photo on Google does not apply to the Diamond Fund. This is a shot of a showcase from the Armory with royal regalia.Pictures from the diamond fund taken by visitors are not possible, as photographs are strictly prohibited. And this is where the fun begins. Halls in fact 2. We were immediately after the opening in connection with Covid. There were very few people and they did not rush us. Even the tickets were bought online. The passage is correct and the guards are unobtrusive. And the Kremlin museums are one of the few sovereign places where there is a feeling that they care about you.Now to the exposition itself. Two rooms and about 20 showcases. The first one is about mining itself. It starts with the first showcase with precious and semi-precious stones. Further - mainly diamonds. The impression is that there are many - very many. Literally by banks.Large, uncut, look like cobblestones or pieces of glass. The faceted showcase is well-lit, dazzling in the eyes. There are many things, but I dont want to consider. And any Swarovski boutique shines much more.Next, the viewing of the historical part of the collection begins and ends with modern jewelry and ingots and nuggets of platinum and gold. With me was an 11-year-old son who was familiar with the film Crown of the Russian Empire. So he was interested in a lot.The historical part is interesting, but its extreme paucity is perplexing. Especially considering that even Grandma Elizabeth has a lot more tiaras on display in Big Ben. There are at least 7 of them, but here there is only one. True, the English two are the former Soviet ones. The showcase with the regalia, which was married to the kingdom, is impressive. From the crowns of the Russian Empire themselves to the chains of the Order of Andrew the First-Called. The same showcase contains the Polish Order of the White Eagle. There are no diamonds, it is more colorful and attracts more attention due to the colored enamel. And yes, I wonder how much the aesthetics and perception of graphics have changed over the last hundred years. The white eagle with red specks resembles synthetic chicken in Russian supermarkets. The scepter and orb are also very worthy exhibits.
Expensive, rich! Russia certainly has something to be proud of. The placers of diamonds did not impress, they look like glass, but the diamonds, yes. Jewelry of rare beauty. True, you cant shoot anything, everything is classified)))). The excursion itself is 20 minutes somewhere. Anyone who loves to go with their eyes is a must!
Interesting excursion. Photos and video prohibited. To enter, you must have a passport (other documents are not accepted)
A must visit! Although this is a very specific museum. But all these restrictions and security measures are adequate when you consider the cost of what is in these two small rooms. If it is purely hypothetical to imagine that all this is to be sold, then the proceeds could be used to buy a small European country! And Estonia would be given for change)))
There are sooo long queues for tickets, the excursion was never visited, because while you are standing in line for half an hour, the people in front of you are buying up tickets for 4 hours ahead. Tickets for this exhibition are sold only at two ticket offices, one of which is closed. By cash, there is always no change. It is better to buy a ticket to the diamond fund first, and only then to the armory. Otherwise, you will have to run again to the box office a decent distance, or wait a very long time. It is also inconvenient that tickets for all exhibitions cannot be bought at one box office.
The exposition itself is wonderful, you dont expect anything else. But with tickets, of course, a strange topic. Perhaps this is for security reasons, but in any case, an electronic ticket is needed and can be collected only at the box office with a passport. What is the problem, put a face ID camera and check through the machine, like in McDonalds. Now such devices and options for a carriage of 3 kopecks.
Liked. But its a pity its so short. A whole quest to buy tickets. But nevertheless, its worth it. Photos are strictly prohibited. Its a pity. I wanted to capture such beauty.
We were in the armory today by a family with a 10-year-old child. The audio guide was not taken. We thought that there would be a guided tour just like in Soviet times - there wasn’t. We walked around and looked. Yes, everything is very beautiful, but the son was bored. With an excursion the old fashioned way is much more interesting. Yes, and souvenir shops, the prices are hoo! I can put a solid 4. It will take 60 minutes to see everything.
Just an amazing exhibition, will not leave anyone indifferent. A wonderful guide. The interior is tasteful, all the windows are clearly visible. A ticket costs 800 rubles, a passport is required. Entrance to the exhibition in small groups. The exhibition itself lasts 45-50 minutes. The interval between groups is 20 minutes. At the entrance, security and polite staff. Photo and video filming is strictly prohibited. I recommend everyone to see the treasures of our country.
Amazing, there are simply no words. Magnificent exhibits and an interesting tour guide
I expected much more impressions from going to this place.Extremely upset by the small amount of exposure, very rude rude behavior of some of the guards in the hall. Most of the exhibits in the 20-30s were simply sold out and plundered, and the efforts of Soviet jewelers of the second half of the 20th century are presented, although in worthy examples, but rather sparingly.
Идеальная выставка, хорошая организация. Но покупка билетов сущий ад, бывает доходит до драки
Seeing the crown of Catherine II is a must !!! This is a masterpiece) and something magically powerful, eye-catching, you want to look and watch. A symbol of power !!! Diamond earrings, pendants, tiaras of the ladies of the yard are required !!! And there is also a diamond rose on the plate. Didnt belong to anyone, made for collection, awesome thing !!!
Very interesting to see and hear. We stood in line for an hour for tickets, tickets were received only for an excursion three hours later, we had to wait three hours. But even these inconveniences did not spoil the impressions of what he saw. By the way, to buy tickets you need a passport and a birth certificate for children, or at least tell the cashier the details of these documents
Beauty, but failed to take a picture. Prohibited and monitored by FSOs. The guide tells in great detail and in an interesting way. Placers of diamonds and diamonds, other precious and semiprecious stones in products in the original. Crown, scepter, orb for the official coronation of Russian emperors. There is something to see! Gold and Platinum Bars!
The ticket price for 09.02.21 is 800 rubles. I see no reason to come in an hour. 25-30 minutes is enough to get through. In the fund itself, photography is not allowed, but phones and bags are not taken away either. A 40-minute tour takes place in two halls. Hall 1 gold, platinum in bars and nuggets and gemstones, cut and cut. They are not allowed to walk without a talking aunt. Hall 2 royal regalia and jewelry. In the second hall, they are allowed to wander for two minutes under the supervision of a FSO;). I hope the Soviet relic in the form of old halls and the ban on photo and video shooting will soon become a thing of the past.
Great collection. Crown of the Russian Empire.
Очень красивые экспонаты! Хорошая экскурсия. Только очень быстро по времени, от стенда к стенду, еле успеваешь посмотреть.
The duration of the excursion to the diamond fund is 45 minutes. The lobby has a wardrobe, toilet, souvenir shops. Tours are held at intervals of 20 minutes for 10 people. When buying tickets, we encountered scammers who earn money by taking up the queue at the box office, and for extra money. pay buy tickets for only come up. And those who are not ready to overpay stand in line and watch the tickets melt before our eyes. There are a lot of police around, cashiers see these faces every day and no reaction.
Very cool. The duration of the excursion is 45 minutes, which is optimal. The collection of jewels from the royal family is impressive!
Good exposition, many exhibits. Some are not very interesting: nuggets and modern jewelry from the end of the last century and the beginning of this. But the stones are not cut, and even more so in brilliant cut, are wonderful, and of course the historical jewelry looks great. The jewelry of the royal family and the court nobility is very interesting. There is only one but - about 20 showcases for 45 minutes. Of course, this is not enough)))In general, we went with pleasure, I recommend
A very impressive exhibition. It was quite difficult to get in, we stood in line for an hour. But it was worth it. The most impressive exhibit is the Shah diamond. And the portrait of Griboyedov is next ...
Interesting exposition. lasts about 40 minutes. I liked the hall itself with diamonds and the other one with carriages. Definitely worth a visit
Oh, a luxurious place. The exposition is small, the excursion is only with a guide, lasts 40 minutes
A unique collection worth visiting. Book your tickets a couple of months in advance. Due to the quarantine, the number of one-time visitors has decreased significantly.
Super! The guide is competent and very pleasant. A lot of useful and interesting, I advise everyone.
History is history! You cannot change it, you cannot change it! DELIGHT!!! The guide is great!
They are not allowed to take pictures there, but nevertheless an interesting exposition. Moreover, the modern works of jewelers are very well presented! And what can we say about old jewelry! You need to see it.
Overorganized. Or we came across such a guide ((Yelena Yuryevna seems to be. She bored everything according to the material. Of course its worth watching. The showcase with cut diamonds is good. And diamonds are boring)))). The nuggets are interesting too. The tour itself takes 45 minutes. But you need to sign up in advance, according to your passport and redeem tickets, preferably in an hour
Delighted every time. And the appearance of new exhibits is very pleasing.
It is a pity that the photo could not be taken. Interesting excursion.
I advise everyone to visit to understand the scale of the wealth of our homeland.
