Hotel is very close to Vadodara Junction.I checked-in at 4.30am and it was very smooth and quick process.Hotel Room was fabulous and it had dryer and coffee and Tea. Mattress was very soft and comfortable because sleep is more important.In morning at the time of Breakfast buffet, Mr. Harish Kumar from Food and service assisted me and even insisted me to try other dishes too. He was very kind.In house restaurant was very good and they served delicious and healthy dishes.Overall ratings 5 star.

Excellent stay. Impeccable service. The staff is very proactive and cooperative.The rooms are quite spacious, with periodic sanitization by the housekeeping staff.The buffet spreads are quite elaborate, with something for everything, from continental, to Indian, and even a few Gujarati dishes for travellers to taste the local flavours. The desserts are quite exotic and again, covers a wide range of cuisines. Special mention to Mr. Sudhir Rawat for making the restaurant experience seamless.Overall, stellar experience.

Very good hospitality. Staff was also very humble. Staffer named Sarfaraz was very courteous and showed a very good level of hospitality. Rooms were also very clean and cozy. But I did not like the food that much.

Went for dinner buffet today and was glad to come across Mr.Pradeep Lenka, super generous and courteous gentleman. He served us with a smile and warmth and took care of me and my colleague for all the needs time to time.Hope to visit again soon.

The stay was comfortable. Room was clean & well appointed. The restaurant food was good; BUT RESTAURANT SRVICE WAS POOR. HAVING HAD THE BUFFET DINNER, I ASKED FOR COFFEE AND WAS REFUSED. I HAD BUFFET BREAKFAST AND THERE BEING NO MILK SHAKE OR LASSI, I ASKED FOR ONE, AGAIN I WAS REFUSED.

It’s definitely not a 5 start hotel, look at the AC vents, lights, washroom etc. Even the linens look like they have never changed then. Also the color of the room and the design. There are so many better options now in Baroda. The food is good but the rooms are extremely poor, didn’t expect this at all.

Went in for their buffett dinner. Overall good and hygienic place to dine. Good ambience and quality food. Loved the starters especially mutton and fish. Prices are bit on the higher side but good for the quality and the ambience you get. Good options for desserts although couldnt try much due to bad health. This was my 3rd stay in this hotel first 2 stay was awesome. but this time I found room was not goodtv remote not working,toilet was having crack,sink was not working. I believe that this hotel is very good in food and hospitality. they should take care of preventiv maintenance. I give 5 star for staff and food.

Overall not a 5 star experience. The room was congested, food quality very average, bathroom lights were not working, poor room service. Breakfast buffet spread was below avarage. Ham was not available, bacons were extremely hard and unable to be chewed. Hope you improve your service and quality..

Grand Mercure is a good decent place to have a pastry. It tasted good. Parking is systematic. Enjoyed going there. Next time I visit I need my car to be parked by valet people. Vanilla bakery is one of the best to have a pastries in the town. They serve with love and you can say at the end DIL JEET LIYA. Totally Worth It. Thankyou.

Rooms are smallest amongst all listed 5 star hotels in Vadodara. 5/6 Banquet halls have less than 10 feet height which snatches away the grandeur. I had 26 rooms booked including a suite that was again very conjusted.Highly disappointed with the banquets team as they made last moment cancellations in rooms with a notice of 20 minutes. Poor decor options provided in banquet package. We went for a third party vendor that costed additional money. If you are planning a wedding function, do check out the decor options before confirming the deal.3 days prior to event dates, Surya Palace cancelled our 20/25 rooms with a notice of 20 minutes. We were given some cheaper replacement for rooms we booked at Surya Palace without consent. Later on, had to fight with the top management to get them back.Highly disappointed with the overall experience here. I would not recommend this property for stay, food and events in particular.
