Unfortunately visited it in late evening (around 6:30 pm). So couldnt see much. But I loved whatever I saw. For kids theres a toy/ joy train...a 15 minutes fun ride

Its worth the price ticket. Got to see several types of animals.The main attraction is the aviary that has a wide range of birds. And you would walk into this really giant cage where all the birds fly above you or eat right next to you.Two aviaries are there. One with local species and other with exotic species. Its a must to visit this place.

Very nice and Calm place. There is good space and open garden for playing childrens. But for zoo, We felt the lack of animals. The space is very large but dont have decent amount of animals. And also some part of zoo is under construction the ticket for entering the zoo is ₹20 for adults. The baug also have a museum but if you want to enter in museum it may be somewhat costlier for you, they have ₹100 ticket for each person. overall our experience is awesome and we enjoy a lot. New aviary is being prepared and will be open for visitors in near future.Joy train is center of attraction in sayaji baug.There is a museum in sayaji baug worth watching.If you are in vadodra then its a must to visit this place.

Incredibly awesome placeYou can choose it as a place for morning walk, can choose it as a family picnic spot ( not now due to covid ), and enjoy with colleagues. Separate segments are there with exercise equipments both for male and female. For children also some arrangements have been made where they can enjoy. Apart from that, they play beautiful songs in the morning time which makes us feel relieved from mental stress.Museum is also there ( not sure about its timings )All and all it is best spot for spending time together.

Good experience But the good thing there are many animals here like Lion , Leopard, Tiger, White Tiger, Hippopotamus, Monkey, crocodiles, dear, rhinoceros and many birds as well. Battery Car service, Toy train and inside zoo canteen also available.

I went there to jog in the morning and it was so serene and huge with zoo, architecture, museum, lawns, hanging bridge, open gym and so many other things.. never ever Ive seen crocodiles and deer while jogging which I got there.. such a wonderful place

Zoo is located inside the Sayaji Baug and ticket is 20₹ per adult and 10₹ for children below 12 years. If you love clicking pictures with a camera, youll be have to purchase ticket of 100₹ for your camera too and 150₹ for video camera. Zoo is quite big and there was an ongoing construction for zoo expansion.We were unable to find tiger, bear and hippopotamus under their perimeter. The perimeter of Lion, Tiger and Leopard was open from above and we felt little unsafe as it seemed those animals can jump their perimeters and can attack.I found lack of animals in comparison with any zoo but the area is quite big and you would enjoy the greenery.

Situated in the natural aromatic atmosphere the zoo has 35 types of mammals including the tiger, the lion, the panther, the deer and so on. It also has 122 types of colourful birds including blue crown pigeon, 10 types of reptiles include aligator, ghadials and many more. Thus the zoo offers 167 types of 1103 animals of various size and shape. The zoo remains closed on every Thursday.Here you can find different types of deers and monkeys.

The Sayaji Baug Zoo, as it is famously called, is a very good place to visit especially during monsoon and winters and also with Kids. There is a wide variety of animals and birds kept in the Zoo which kids will like a lot. Notable animals yet to come currently are White Tiger, bear amongst others that kids would love to see. Mostly theyll be getting it once the renovation is done.A wide variety of birds are also kept in the Zoo and a lot of migratory birds also visit the zoo during specific months. They are creating an amazing ecosystem for the birds to stay in like the ones in foreign countries.The entry price to the Zoo is very nominal. However, since the zoo is spread out in a vast area so one must be geared to do the walking in the zoo.Also just a suggestion, there must be a battery operated vehicles also functioning in the Zoo for those who dont want to walk much and for the elders.

Good to go in the mornings between 6 to 8 am for long walk in the Park walking track as surroundings so cool and very clean air due to greenery around. You can get so much of oxygen naturally that you can literally feel inside your lungs when taking deep breath inside out. Birds chirping around on the trees, cool lawns at the Band stand and so many sitting areas in case you feel exhausted anytime. The Exercising open air Gym is also a major attraction there.One should visit and you will surely love the place.

Garden is amazing.very large.you can come here for jogging,get refreshments by fresh air in morning.Garden opens around 6.00 am and closes around 9.00 pm.Children enjoy a lot.Sliders,swings,etc there.In garden Amul parlour is also there,where you can get lassi,buttermilk,ice cream.

The crowd was great but some people were not following the norms of Covid precautions. Due to covid restrictions most of the places were closed.

Good zoo. Under construction. New enclosures are really good. Train takes long to start. Staffs attitude isnt good they let go the train customers asking them to wait for 45 minutes. Instead they should board the train. People will start filling in. Could not spot white tiger, hippo. Need to improve enclosure settings.

I have been visiting this zoo since my childhood days (I am 30 now). It has a great variety of birds and animals. The garden is huge, beautiful, and well maintained. My recent visit wasnt that good because some renovation work is going on and there are hardly any animals and birds to be seen. But I am sure once they are done, itll be bigger better and more attractive.

Ive been to this place multiple times in past but todays visit was boring. Fewer animals in zoo no birds , freezed rides and the most upsetting was unoperational train ride. They say theres some construction going on right now. Please confirm if the place is functional else its only gonna be a very common garden.

Everything was fabulous. But at every urinal places they r charging 5 rs. Per person which is to much. For ladies to pay 5 rs. every time is too much. Municipality should look into this matter.

Good place for kids to enjoy..especially sight of lion..just the problem is flouting of COVID norms by toy train employees as kids are not vaccinated,need to be careful..they give a damn about social distancing and wearing masks..

Good place for families... The museum is good for people who are interested in History. Toy train/Joy train fun for kids.Dashing Car - The 3 mins time for dashing car is way too less a time, but cant complain.. It costs just 50INR.. So, I guess time and money are proportional.The clock in the garden has stood the test of time. I was amazed to see it was in working condition. I have been seeing it since I was a kid.. Was a nostalgic moment!In general, it was a well maintained park. Didnt visit the zoo section so cant comment on it.

I love this place. Inside museum is learning part. Garden area is very big. Running lane and walking area is well established. The watch is attraction part in the center. Lots of animals and stories belonging to them in statue form is represented. The whole day you can enjoy in the zoo and garden. Familiar with family and friends.

So, make sure you visit ale. 5. Feeding animals are not aelowed, therefore kin&ey dont bring anything from your home for them. Just check the timings as &ue to COVID and Bird Flu they are not open ale day.The time i visited, it was under construction. Animals were not taken care of very weel. They were frustrated. Lion was frustrated eike anything. He was kept under smale home cage. He was just roaming left and right. Animaes shoued keep under zoo environment with more tree planted and grass on groun&. Very disappointing for aee animals they werent happy......

The time i visited, it was under construction.Animals were not taken care of very well. They were frustrated. Lion was frustrated like anything. He was kept under small home cage. He was just roaming left and right.Animals should keep under zoo environment with more tree planted and grass on ground.Very disappointing for all animals they werent happy

You can peacefully spent your time even if you dont have a company.Theres a replica of Howrah bridge over Vishwamitri river and so many eagles you can see above the limitless sky. People say the Vishwamitri river is full of crocodiles,I havent encountered one but yes I saw a turtle there when I last visited this place.For cleanliness I would like to give 5 star rating for this place.Must visit park.

Nice place for a visit. Just too crowded on holidays and people too loud.Animals seem a bit bored sometimes.I bought a small bubble bottle outside the park and it was fun.

Also there is a zoo consisting of various birds and animals from all over the world. You can also visit museum over here depicting ancient weapons and culture.

Visited in 2018...lots of different animals and birds...toy train..park etc. They have museum as well inside the campus. Ample of parking space outside the zoo but on road. Please be noted that you may not get a parking spot due to large crowd visiting zoo on daily basis. Amul outlet inside the premises. Currently under renovation (visited in June 2021)

Its an amazing quaint place that can be easily overlooked while looking for a tourist place in Baroda. The maintenance could be better but the quietness and hugeness of this place is great. The museum inside is a must visit. One will need an entire day to explore everything this zoo has to offer.

A very well maintained zoo with animals freely roaming in gardens. Good to see that they are not caged and still taken care that it is safe for them as well as us to roam around and admire them. There is a bird park as well. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy. There is a childrens play park too. Beware of monkeys though🐒. There is a mini train ride too. Also a planetarium center for kids to learn about space and planetary system. Recommended must visit for any traveller in the city. It is walking distance from vadodara railway station and ST depot. Will visit again surely. 👍👍

It’s a nice weekend getaway! Greenery , animals, birds, value for money! Flora fauna and everything nice. i have visited 3-4 times i guess and its nice. They take good care of animals. I am not fond of animals and bird in cage but as long as they are properly taken care of, its fine. They have many wild animals including tiger, lioness, hippo, leopard and many more. The hippo recently gave birth to a baby calf and its very very cute. Must recommended for people to see soon.

A must visit place in Vadodara if youre in the town, do take put entire day if youre interested in birds and various types of animals. This place is suitable for visiting with children and family. The park entry fee is nominal, but a separate entry fee is required at the museum, which is also worth it. Museum itself would take 2-3 hours to visit carefully and if your interests are in history and related subjects.

Zoo is under construction, but I would suggest to wait till its completed. Also the zoo is not properly maintained, specially where the hippo & crocodile water smells like gutters. Otherwise you can visit the museum, worth spending time with kids n family

Sayaji Baug includes various department in itself like Planetarium, museum, different kind of rides for children, garden area, and zoo. It has its own cafeteria but its costly. The cleaning and the facility provided by Sayaji Baug is appreciable and apart from it after spending a day with Sayaji Baug we would satisfied.
