The profusely carved 17th century temple just outside town enshrines Hatkeshwar Mahadev, the family deity of *Nagars* who were once a prominent community in Vadnagar.The temples inner sanctum houses a Shiva linga said to have self-emerged (swayambhu). From the roof of the sanctum a massive shikhar soars high into the sky. Facing east, the temple is enclosed by a high wall topped by three circular domes interspersed with flat stretches in the Indo-Saracenic tradition.

Very good temple after renovation. It still can be cleaned up. You can stay here with ₹700 in AC double bed room inside Mandir premises only. Car parking is available. Car parking is very near to temple , just outside temple premises.

It was a time that this place is operated by trust / Mandal but now it is operated by Government of Gujarat so this place is mostly newly built by them. This carved 17th century temple outside town named as Hatkeshwar Mahadev, the family deity of Nagar Brahmins, who were once a community in Vadnagar.Beautiful place to visit. Its a very old temple, around more than 1000 years. A must visit place for people who have interest in Archeology.It is having big campus with open space. You can stay here also. Nadiol gate is also historic for nose structure on it.Inside the Garbha Gruha, above the Shivalingam, is the Shikhara (pinnacle) of the temple. A Dress Code applies for entry in the Garbha Gruha: males have to wear the Pitamber (lower garment which is like a traditional dhoti, made of silk)
