Must visit this engineering sculpture. When you arrive please park your vehicle at the main parking area. Get the entry ticket and the shuttle bus ticket (Costs Rs. 30) from ticket center located next to the parking area. You can also get the ticket online from SOU website. There is a Express ticket option which costs Rs. 1000 per person, which i dont think necessary as the only privilege you have with the express ticket is you dont have to stand in line. But my experience says its not worth it. The regular ticket would be as much good. There is no convenience fee to get the ticket online. From the parking area you can hop on to the shuttle bus which takes you to the main entrance of SOU. The frequency of a bus is about 10 to 15mins. Bus takes you all the attractions with hop on hop off service. Food is not allowed at the entry point, water bottles are ok. You can refill the bottles at the viewing lobby under the statue. Views of Sardar Dam and river from viewing gqlary are magnificent.

Large open museum at entrance to the Statue of UNITY. One has to pass through the museum area to reach the elevators that take you to the viewing gallery at 138m or at about chest height of the statue.The museum has photo exhibits of Sardar Vallabhbai Patel during freedom struggle and subsequent unification of 500+ princely states into one Bharat.
