Being a oldish ambience they maintain all staffs which used to be in early 70s or 80s . Visit it with your friends.I give them 4star , cause they are too late to serve .

The place is very calm and reader friendly. The ambience is worth the stay. It is so calm and quiet and has a serenity to it. The food is absolutely lip smacking good within an extremely pocket friendly budget.

The ambience is great with small capacity divided between two types of sitting area. Food is not the greatest plus point of the place however you will get a home-cooked feel in contrast to that of regular cafes.

U Can grab a book and pass your time!Even if you are not a book person go in and gobble some good snacks and beverages.Its best if you come with your friends along and have a good aada over a chai/coffee.Must visit!

Boi thek the place gives a very nice ambience. The interior design is very good. As the name says boi means books are also there, you can read or buy them as well. The food is also good.

This old Cafe has been redecorated in this cafe, Name Book Thek. Its a little different from the shiny coffee in our lives. That is why it is called Attapur Addapur. Ambience is very beautiful for quality time spend with book. The 1950s watch can still be seen here. Also many things from the old days are collected here. It is accompanied by a collection of various books. There is a separate room for reading books and a pillow. In addition to the book, there is a variety of food. Behaviour of the staff is also very good here. All meals are prepared and served in a very homely way. But in terms of quality and quantity of food, it is very good and very fresh.Test of Sandwiche & Coffee is good. All types of Snacks & Dessert available here.There is a smell of the old house, with a variety of books, a variety of food and chat. Recently we visited the Boithek cafe which is situated in Uttarpara proximity to GT Road. The ambience of this place is very cool which reminds us of the Bonedi Bari. The ambvience takes us back to the 70s-80s Calcutta.They have a wide variety of English and Bengali books for their customers who loved to read. Customers can also purchase the books if they want.This place offers snacks at a very reasonable price to their customers. We ordered -- A sandwich combo which consists of a Chicken sandwich, A cheese omelette and A coke.- A chicken red sauce pasta- A chocolate shake- A brownie with ice creamAll the dishes were amazing in terms of taste and presentation. Service was prompt and the staff was also very cooperative. They staff also maintained every safety precautions to ensure the safety of the themselves and their customers. I would love to visit this place again.

Very friendly people. But the most awesome part is, one can get a book and read it for the rest of the day just by sitting there as they have a large collection of books(but order something as a humane gesture). They sell books too.

Recently I visited Boithek, Uttarpara. There we ordered -- chocolate shake- sandwich combo with cheese omelette with coke , and- chicken red sauce pasta.The food was very delicious and attractive to look. I really liked the chocolate shake and the cheese omelet was a new dish for me. The staff was very cooperative and helped us whenever we wanted anything. Service was prompt. Atlast the ambiance was my favourite one which I loved the most . The ambiance contained every single item that gives us the vintage feel of the Bengali community. Starting from the name Boithek to the whole ambiance of Bengalis I loved each and every part of it. I would love to come to this place again.

I had my 2nd solo date here. Best place for a bibliophile. Amazing part is it is absolutely cheap... I visited this place first on Dec 2019. I had cheese corn sandwich for Rs 70 saw the books were kept only for reading and then I went on Apr 2021, I saw a combo of cheese corn sandwich along with cold drinks costing Rs. 110... Undoubtedly taste got better than before and the books are also not only for reading, customers can buy also. The cafe is tiny but really cosy for a date with yourself or best friend or someone special. I will recommend this place if you want a me time with books and food. Collection of books are really really good and they fulfilled dreams of some suburbanians like us.

Food was good and ambience was awesome one. What I felt is that pasta was a bit undercooked...though the cold coffee, chicken stick and taste of pasta were lipsmacking....bang on for a short meetup...it will give you homely feeling😄

Good place for meeting up with friends over a cup of tea or coffee and some genuine tasty side dishes. You can purchase books from here as well. There is a small library too from where.one can borrow books for reading at home.

A beautiful place with a different zing for the book worms. Kachari gives you some nice Array of books and the coffe and snacks to go with.Where as mojlish with the unconventional sitting arrangement gives you the old adda back. Loved it.

No Im not a book lover, but I love to spent time in a clam place. That with a vintage look youll probably not expect from the lanes of Uttarpara. BoiThek is a cafe that deserves a visit.The name BoiThek explains bunch of books that you can sit and read. Im not a regular reader of latest nobels but I noticed theyve a pretty small collection of popular names.Good food would have been even better but sadly that isnt the case here. We tried Chicken Momos @ Rs.80 & day special Chicken Fry @ Rs.120. Momos were very basic, served with ketchup that tasted very ordinary with very medium stuffing.Chicken Fry as the name says, simply tossed fried chicken pieces in bbq sauce with onion slices that tastes ordinary. Food quality couldve been better but considering the low prices it is absolutely fine.This place is beautiful. Only good photos can explain what Im trying to say or even better visiting in real. If you love going cafes then give BoiThek a try, youll love the experience.

Good Ambience, but price is too high.

Place is good but the problem I faced yesterday (4th April) is they dont have washroom for male. Only females can use their washroom. Thats what the sales girl said yesterday. I reached that place after 1 hour driving with my friends and It was very embarrassing in front of others after knowing. Im no more interested to go there.

Very nice and cozy place to hangout with friends. Also it is very pocket friendly so we tried a number of items. Pasta and sandwiches are good and cost less than most other places. Only problem is that you have to wait sometimes for your turn.

This is the prettiest cafe Ive ever been to. Its kind of small but its comfortable. The place gives off a major 80s bonedi baari vibes with it structure and the books, which merely not for show, are a great addition. The food was great and so was the service. My overall experience was greatly pleasant and Id love coming back here. If youre looking for a cosy place to hang out, this is it.

I heard about this place from facebook. Since I am a book lover, I loved the idea of the cafe. But the welcome I received was not what I expected. I went there in the afternoon. Two lady staffs were there. I was not offered water the whole time I was there. There was no washroom for the customers .The Food quality is not upto the mark. The setting and the ambience is good. One can also learn about the historical importance of the place along with some historical document of bazaar price of yesteryear but the behavior could have been more welcoming. Maybe it happened due to staff shortage. I dont know the exact reason. Both the lady staffs were busy in kitchen for preparing food. Attention to customer received second priority. Book collection is okay. They are offering 10 percent discount on books above Rs 100 only. I dont blame the staff. They gave their best and also said before I left to visit again. The payment which was done via Google pay also had to be confirmed via phone call. Although I appreciate the initiative but there is always room for improvisation. And since they have books in their name, I hope the cafe lives upto its reputation.

Its kind of OKish. There are two small rooms. One is full of tables and chairs and another one has a small bed and some chairs. The outside room full with seating arrangements can only give you a glimpse of a renovated old fashioned room full of books and you will be served food. In the inside rood with a bed and some other chairs you can sit back and relax and gorge into some books while having your snacks. But if only you have a group of 5/6 friends then it will be good for you to go into the inside room. Otherwise with lot of other people you wont able to pass time like you want to. The rooms are very small. May be a bit more space area would help both the customers and owner. Lastly we had two chicken dishes and ice cream and a mocktail. While drinks and ice cream was ok but the chicken dishes could hardly be separated from each other by taste. So we had a nice evening but this to me is one time place. Cant be a go to place. And if you like any of the books, volla, its for sale.

Good place. Specially for the ones who prefer non-vegetarian food and also love reading. They have good books in Bengali and English. Dont forget to try Blue Lagoon! And do eat the veg noodles! Dont forget, no tips accepted!😄
