An ancient brand-chain confectionary still standing, as far as I recall probably Uttarparas oldest. Many chains and independent bakeries have since moved in, moved out, thrived and shuttered but this one is still surviving. The pastries and cakes are decent, some unique and delicious (love the rumballs) that prompt me to keep coming back to S&P and the others are just alright or like the others, however they are the same in all the S&S chains so this review will be more about the franchise: the shop is alright, at this point is just like any other shop, it has lost its shine, kind of weathered, the temperament of the shop owner depends on whos present (there are multiple- I think a family runs it in turn), some are quick, some chatty, or just plain grumpy. But we keep coming back for the familiar tastes, convenience (located at the trijunction of Shakerbazar bus stop which is nice) or just nostalgia... also, they serve ice-cream which is good. Only cash payment is allowed, which is inconvenient. I hope they start allowing online/card payment soon, also enlisting on food aggregating services would be appreciated too.

Nice place,and available quick transport from the shop,the quality of good is well but sometimes oily foods not good.but the cake and breds r quite good.Amul Ice cream available here..

Worst shop among any other Sugar and Spice outlets. The shopkeeper does separate type of criminal matters inside the shop. Do not choose this shop. They are criminals.
