Urwan is a small halt station. Empty local passenger train stops here. Tourists get off at this railway station to see the Tilaiya Dam. Tilaiya Dam can be seen on foot. The two-bed non-AC retiring room at the nearby Koderma railway station is very good for staying. Retiring rooms at Koderma Railway Station can be booked in advance from the IRCTC website.
