Uppada is the city of sarees that we found making without machinary. Its completely man work.

Uppada& u.kottapalli is having many handlooms and normally many will come here to buy sarees. As it is a source , any product at source would be little bit cheap but not so much. If you buy in lots may be you can save.

Coastal area road very close to sea , this uppada centre now we see was once one end(west end)of the village ,half of the village now submerged in sea. Inadequate maintenance causes bank erosion and every year some land is being submerged in sea. There used to be a famous SHIVALAYAM in the middle of the village ,now submerged under the sea.

Well, actually went to buy Uppada Sarees. Went to Joseph Handlooms. Excellent choice of different weaves from across South India. Was extremely satisfied.

It is busy with local business people when 5 pm onwards. It is famous for fishes and jamdani saries. If u want to buy fishes it is better go to beach near moolapeta. There we can buy at wholesale price. For sarees uppada and kothapalli famous. Number of shops with number of verieties available.

Uppada centre is famous of jamdhani sarees and hand made clothes..this center available of gift articles,food,snacksand bakery is there.. Surround village needs are available this center..

Main center of uppada. Main stop to get autoes to pitapuram,kakinada, addaripeta areas. It developed like anything since last 10 years. This area is quite busy with people coming for clothes stores, groceries shops, bank, Sweet stalls, small vendors etc. We used to call this as beach road center also. Nice area to spend sometime in the evening.
