Superb place must visit

This Church is built in the shape of a ship, as you would see from its appearance. Recently renovated or reconstructed, I believe. Plenty of space inside the Church to accommodate devotees. Seating arrangements made here inside the church are neatly done. Outside premise is also very spacious. Can accommodate quite a number of two and four wheelers. Ideally parking shouldnt be a problem, except maybe during festivals or on important occasions. Im personally of the opinion that early morning or evening would be the right time to visit this church.

Beautiful church built resembling a ship. Of special relevance to the local coastal community. A miraculous statue of our Lady of Velankanni was installed in the recent past and since then it is very popular among devotees as a pilgrim shrine.

First attraction is the boat designed church. Secondly when we get inside we get to visit a miraculous statue of mother Mary. Well built church.

A great structure.This church is located on the road to malpe. It has been recently renovated with a new structure which resembles a ship.The church is clean and has all facilities (restroom, parking).The main structure inside does not have pillars and the altar view is great from all sides. The new altar is brown in colour and has a great feeling.Seating arrangements are apt for the structure.They have a fountain in the front.The mother mary statue is located adjacent to the main church. Paper and pen are available at the back of the statue, which can be used for petitions.The church office is on the right side of the church.A must visit when you are on hour way to malpe.

First boat shaped church in Karnataka, second in India. Bell tower gives lighthouse look. And surrounding water gives beach look. Windows of church have been built exactly like ship-like. Holy place dedicated to Vailakanni. Church is big. It comes on the way to Malpe beach from Udupi. Place is called Kalmady. Anual feast will be celebrated in the month of February every year.

A very beautifully designed church located in a peaceful environment in Kalmadi, Udupi. The design of the church is inspired by the Noahs Ark and is built in the shape of a boat. It has a bell tower in the shape of a lighthouse.

This is a uniquely built church in the shape of a ship. Very spacious inside as well as outside with ample parking space. A few metres away from the ship church is a light house like structure about four storeys high. It gives a good view of the church from top. In the vicinity is a store selling religious articles. It is managed by the religious sisters. Its worth a visit.

Very nicely build church. The silence inside inspires u to introspect and think deep l. Architecture and aesthetics on point. But it looks to much of an extragavanza given that it being a church. And seems like they went a very long way to make it attractive. Could have used that more better in some other area. Just a personal opinion. But still a very nice place to cool down and chill.

This is a new structure built to look like a ship with a lighthouse. The inside is airy and bright. Seating is plentiful and comfortable. The altar is simply beautiful. A place where you can pray.

Though i am an Hindu i visited here a couple of times. such a beautiful architecture. it is shaped as a huge ship. there is very large parking place in front of he church. and people definitely find peace inside the prayer hall its calm and mesmerizing. the main attraction of the place is miraculous marry statue. i must visit more often
