If you’re looking out for the best view, good staff, amazing pesto sandwich and most of all good Americano, then cafe edelweiss is the place. I was in Udaipur for 40 days and I have been here literally every single day from 12 pm to 8 pm. Rakesh, the manager is an amazing person. He goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable and happy. Dhanraj, the cook, makes one of the best pesto pasta and sandwiches.If you’re in Udaipur and want something amazing, this is the place to be.It’s ghat facing, in the old city and is near all the famous places

This is a great place to spend your afternoon or evening. The food is great. Loved the sandwich, and burger. You should definitely visit the cafe.The view is great too! Well located and good service, but I went to try the baked food and they only are making what they call brownie, which is a chocolate cake that is very sweet, no taste of chocolate and topped up with those fake chocolate syrup. It was very disappointing, but the Hazelnut coffee and view where very nice.

If youre a working professional and looking for a good wifi connection, peace of mind, a good view and hygienic food then this is the go to place. Rakesh the manager, is really amazing and will never ever let you feel that youre a toursit. I was here for 10 days and was eating here every single day and night. We used to come here around noon and spend the rest of the day till night at 10 having the occasional teas, lunches and dinners and beers and typing away on our laptops. And with reasonable prices, this is the best place in the Old City to chill, work, and while away time at.The only con? The cafe is at the top floor :) Bit its worth it.

Service is really nice, but I didnt really like the cakes. The brownie was like a chocolate cake, too fluffy and airy, the banana cake was a bit dry, and the apple cake had too strong cinamon flavour. The orange juice was definetly natural though, and the place is confty and cozy, well located. But prices are a little high for the quality..

This was supposed to be an apple pie, but a great majority of the pie was raisins. I was really disappointed with that, while the apple core tasted fantastic, the raisin portion did not compliment the pie as a whole. The crust cooked good had a soft texture.

Located near lakes on the ground floor. This place has casual seating and serves basic coffee and sandwiches. I tried tuna sandwich with coffee which was good considering the fact that it is available in small place like Udaipur. Some some reason this place is popular with foreign tourists. Clean place with friendly service. Quality of coffee needs improvement.

This place has been mentioned by a lot of travellers which made it mandatory for us to visit but the experience was not very pleasant.This cafe specialises in breakfast options.What all we ordered-⭐ Veg Cheese SandwichThe bread tasted very dry and it was just stuffed with cheese. Amount of veggies were lacking.⭐ Chocolate PancakeMy fellow foodie had it and found it really average.⭐ Fruit SaladPomegranate wasnt fresh.⭐ Walnut PieThis was the only saviour. The cakes look tastier than they actually are. The cheesecake was soggy and brownie that was to have a hint of chilly was only dry to eat inspire of the drizzle of chocolate sauce. The cold coffee with ice-cream was thin as if made with skimmed milk and water

Basic idea is good. It cant be denied that the café was started by a German. But he unfortunately died and it looks like much more of the place with him. Had a lemon-ginger-honey-tea and a chocolate ball. Tea was quite ok. Choco ball was a mixture of biscuit pieces with grease, some cocoa powder and white sugar which gave a pretty crunchy feeling between the teeth. Just like chewing broken glass...No breakfast set available, if choosing from menue its getting expensive...

Chicken sandwich was good ... Tea or coffee and at par with sandwich. They have option of fresh bread. Location close to lake pichhola.

Perfect cake for a coffee and cake Europea style. The foto of the German owner is proudly framed and decorate and the whole atmosphere of the cafe is really nice.The fact that the cake was served warm was a great plus.

Right in front of ganghor ghat and bagore ki haveli , an amazing cafe with coffee, cakes and sandwiches.

Ordered a cheese and ham sandwich and a veggie sandwich, both were delicious. The iced tea came with no syrup at all and even after adding syrup, it didnt get to a flavor or taste that we could savour. The sun rays fall onto the place, it has a great vibe and its nice to have breakfast there.

If you want shift from OverOily and OverFried Indian cousine, check in this barkery with good strudel and another pastry.

A quaint and nice cafe. Initially, you will think of it as any other cafe selling fast food in Udaipur. But do not overlook it in the plethora of the cafes that dot the town now. We stopped by this cafe after visiting Gangaur ghat because we were too tired to walk. Firstly ordered a hot cup of masala chai and they made it fresh and just as per my taste. Wonderful it was. Then, we went for white sauce pasta and were thankful for having selected this cafe. Finally, ordered pesto veg grilled sandwich. We were quite surprised with the taste and happily so. Overall, I am very happy with we were offerred and I would suggest everyone to go for it as they are in so much need of support from us enthusiasts in this pandemic situation.

A really small cozy place located in nearby the lake. I went there at night hence didnt get to try their breakfast menu. But I tried their pastries and tarts and they were good. Its a good hangout place for a cup of coffee with your freinds.

They also have a terrace seating but one has to go through multiple floors to reach there. But the view of the lake and the lake palace is really good.

A cozy small eatery usually filled up no matter the hour u visit, so there could be a slight waiting. Visited the place did not get place immediately, had to wait 20min odd, place is not reserved as per your no, so one haz to stay there to get a seat. Ordered a Apple crumble, Cheese Omlette, Ham, Ham & Egg Sandwich, Cappuccino, hot chocolate. The food quality was great, serving time was decent. Service was decent, a little pricy though. Staff could do better when assisting customers who walk-in, with waiting time and actually attending them rather than looking at their faces and ignoring them. Also they could make note of where the customers are seated and who has ordered what item, rather than going around with the place asking everyone if its their order, since one has to plate the order at the counter, then take a seat and visited mostly by foreigners.

Alright view. Had 2 meals here. They somehow managed 2 menus, one for morning and evening each (?) Food was OK in the morning, but somehow below standard and way overpriced compared to others in the night.

Cafe Edelweiss is the Great place to hangout with friends because it’s near Gangaur Ghat. They serve all type of snacks, shakes and much more. Finding a seat may be an issue at times so is the service but the staff is nice. The best part is that its very reasonably priced. Me and my friends enjoyed so much with playing Guitare 🎸. I love ❤️ that place very much. Main think View is the best part of that place and place is very calm. Mostly Foreigners visit this place we can discuss with them. Nice lake view in night at Gangaur ghat. Lots of local festival celebrated here with lamps like Indian Traditional. Totally different view in night and day. I prefer this palace at 7 PM around. This cafe has a great interiors and a good menu to offer. I visited this place every single day I was in Udaipur.. Only because I felt very homely here. The food quality and quantity both are great. Hospitality by Rakeshji is to the par. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

This is as far as we know the only place that truly opens up at 8 oclock. It basically just for foreigners. Its a bit crowded if you come late. The food and the drinks were good.

We stopped here for a break and had some really nice coffee and banana bread. And also tried their chocolate balls. They also have a restaurant on the roof which offers a great view of the gangaur ghats. The roof top restaurant is safe for children below a certain age with extreme parental rights watch only.

Cozy little place with stunning interiors; from walls covered with mirror pieces, to hand-painted flowers and wall hung paintings. The food is on the expensive side but its not disappointing. I personally love the tables with views of Gangaur Ghat.

I was lucky to stumble upon this lovely intimate space to spend my idyllic days in Udaipur! Brilliant location with the Lake in front of you and very warm and humble staff to take care of your food & coffee. Definitely spend your mornings there for the perfect breakfast and Sunshine while you are there! Big Love & Respect for how it is run!

The setting and the food is nice, although a bit over rated given the dust and noise surrounding it. The washroom is one thing for which it is widely in demand!

They serve espresso!! Pretty good latte and nice snacks. Good Grandma kind of baking. Id go back for sure.

Clean and friendly environment, my apple pie is very moisture but the pastry was too soggy. I also had tuna salad, which had quite good portion and the ingredients were rich, the test is light and fresh, if it can go with less mayo will be great.

The muesli is the best Ive had in India. The coffee is actual coffee. They have nutella pancakes and toast :) and bacon :). All day breakfast is an option. Highly recommended!

Are your a foreigner that likes to eat breakfast at 8am? Then this is the place for you! Decent menu, decent espresso and well priced.

The original place to go for baked goods and coffee/chai. This place have been here for as long as I can remember and never fails to serve up great (homemade) sandwiches and fantastic chai. Recently coffee to has improved so there is really nothing stopping me from visiting again soon!

Coffee was mediocre, food bland and boring and service non existent. Beggars hassled customers from the street, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere.

The best ginger and lemon tea ever had, sandwiches are pretty good as well, most important thing is they do open at 8am in the morning.

Nice place, super-friendly staff, great view from the top, good food and coffee. They even made khichri (dal-rice-veggie-paste) for our 9 months old baby. We have visited the Edelweiss café on the ground floor as well as the restaurant upstairs. Try the apple crumble.

I visited this place summer of 2018 with my italian friend. We both really really love the food, ambience and the warmest greeting from the waitress and owner. All the menu very very delicacies, we both got the complimentary meals as well. Don’t forget to ask why they put germany inside the store, bcs there’s story behind that. I do recommend people to spent their time after watch the bagore ki haveli perfomances. Definitely will be back someday!Glad to know Mr. Rakash

The apple pie is absolutely lip smacking, makes for an excellent combination with masala chai, all the other food is also very tasty, I tried their masala omelet with toast, cakes and so on, definitely a great place for an afternoon snack and strategically located right on the gangaur Ghat with its hustle and bustle

Disappointed. I dont know why people love this place so much. Cappuccino was served super hot and was nothing special (80 rp). Then we had a bacon & egg sandwich which didnt taste Anything, just plain and underwhelming (140 rp). Maybe people just like to hang out here, I dont know but Im not going back.

Seems this place might be going downhill. Was served a stale cinnamon bun, decided to leave after that. Id recommend baked goods elsewhere.
