The property is amazingly beautiful. It offers an excellent view of the lake . The rooms are spacious and clean. Theres a huge garden for kids . The staff is very cooperative and humble. We had a pleasant stay with advantages of both villa and hotel.. everything was so perfect..just go for it without any second thoughts

I visited Udaipur with two of my friends. We checked number of hotels that can give a good lake view and we hardly find any at this price. Though we were still under doubt how good it would be until we reached hotel. t is located just in front of Fatehsagar lake on Rani road. The moment we reached and looked around it felt just like Wow. It is perfectly located to give you a beautiful lake view of Fatehsagar lake. The hotel it self is very beautiful place, very well maintained gardens with number of lovely flowers. Room was so neat and clean all the facilities were available as described. The hotel staff is so courteous. They also provide you with some outdoor and indoor games to play at no cost. The only thing I was disappointed was the food taste, however there is nothing to worry about it as it is just beside the food court(walking distance around 8-10 minutes) and you will get lots of options to eat out there. So overall I am very happy and satisfied with my stay .

Its an Amazing place if you are looking for a homestay in Udaipur. If you are looking for places which is peaceful with no do and donts,this should be your choice. The staff and even the owners will make you feel that you are at your home.It is best suited for group travellers.Rooms- Rooms are very spacious and well maintained. They have only 5 room so the best thing is if you are a family or a group, the entire place is for you.Property- Its a very peaceful and serene property with a view of fatehsagar lake. There is lush green garden where you can spend some quality time with the group. They serve food and liquor there which is the best part of staying here. You will enjoy your evenings here. They also have a collection of vintage cars.Pool- The swimming pool is decent enough for a group to enjoy.There is one well maintained dining space as well.Food - We had breakfast and dinner there and we can not complain. If you are non-vegetarian you can order it on Zomato. They serve allmost all the item at very reasonable prices.I would say, If you are looking for just to enjoy with your group of 8-10 people then this the best place to stay. The staff is very attentive and make you feel very comfortable.It is not a hotel so please keep it in mind when you book this place.

Rooms are decent and clean and designed according to different colours which is unique. They have a large garden and kids area too. One can play cricket, badminton in garden and some other activities too. Last but not least their food is just awesome. It is so delicious and tasty you dont need to go outside for dinner/lunch. Loved it. Ruchika madam is very nice and sweet helps their guest and takes care of guests like their own. They provide very heavy and tasty breakfast and at night they provide bon fire, music system,etc. Whole hotel is white painted and that gives it very porsche look they have working vintage cars and room services was 10 on 10 with complimentary things. Really thankful to ruchika mam for meomerable trip to udaipur and all the services provided by her. If youre thinking about staying in udaipur this is perfect place for it.

My 2 nights stay at the Devendra garh palace was awesome. City palace is just 10-12 mins drive from the hotel. I hired the scooty for 3 days at Rs 700 from the area near city palace, OLA cabs are also easily available. I would highly recommend to stay at this hotel rather than staying near city palace as the hotel is so beautiful and peaceful at a reasonable price unlike city palace congested area. They have big lawn and its facing the Fatehsagar lake the sunrise and sunset view is too good (See the images). They provide tasty buffet breakfast and the service is great. Undoubtedly going to stay here if I visit again.

Outstanding hospitality, great location to view sunrise.

Very nice place, huge as you expect to be in royal City of Udaipur and wonderful service. The guys were very polite and provided prompt service. Good lawn, night lighting, vintage cars, music at dinner time. Rooms had an internal closed balcony which was awesome and a unique experience. The host was polite and friendly and definitely worth a stay for family or solo of you are visiting Udaipur. Bonus is its close proximity to Fateh Sagar Lake.

The place is right opposite Fateh Sagar lake, most of the tourist spots are within 2-4 km of the guest house. it has a huge beautiful garden where we spent hours in morning and night enjoying the cool breeze and lake view. the rooms are huge and well maintained. the best part is the service, they are prompt and take care of your concerns immediately. the breakfast spread is very good for a guest house and food available is great. when we stayed, there were very few guests and it was like the entire place is for us only. the owner is very friendly and takes care of our requirements. great stay at this place. my 5 month old daughter enjoyed the place thoroughly as she like open spaces,. there is a tree house, trampoline, swing on the tree and a kids room to keep kids engaged. we had a car at our disposal hence it was easier to travel. Uber etc, are available but hesitate to go for shorter distances. the guest house has cycles available on rent.

A perfect getaway for a family vacation. Situated on a hillock bang opposite Fateh Sagar Lake. Prime location, very hospitable owners. You are treated like their own guests. Another major highlight is the collection of Vintage cars which are from world war 2 era and the most prized possession directly from the descendents of Royal Family of Udaipur. ( Owners themselves are Royalty). Watching and feeling these Vintage beauties from close quarters is a delight that no Cars aficionado would like to miss.P.S. It is under B&B license, so dont expect a commercial hotel experience, but the place is such that no doubt the clientle is repeat and you need to book in advance.

Outstanding Place

Last weekend we had celebrated our silver anniversary with around 28 people here. Had wonderful 4 days of total relaxation, warm hospitality and first class service. And yes true i felt very special too..about being their Guest. Avery Big Thanks to Ruchika & her staff for their very kind & generous hospitality, which was above & beyond the call of duty. We had an amazing stay over there.The rooms are a decent size and very tastefully put together, new, very clean, good beds and pillows etc.Location is unbeatable. This has been my best experience so far staying in any Hotel... This a luxury Home stay managed by one of the influential and classy families of Udaipur. Everything is so tastefully done. The family themselves take care of this property. Very clean nd hygienic and away from the hustle bustle. Its right on fateh sagar lake with excellent lake view. It has a private holiday sort of a feeling since only 5 rooms in the hotel.Special thanks to Ruchika for managing everything so perfectly.

This I feel is one of the best places to stay in Udaipur. It is more like a home stay cum a palace stay. It is away from the main and crowded area of the city so it is serene. It is a vast property therefore has huge lawns to enjoy the lake view and bask in the sun on cold winter days. Very relaxing. Managed by a sweet little lady named Ruchika... She and her family lives in the same property.There are 5 rooms each defined by the color of the paint the room has... It gives the feeling of living in a palace and a home with mostly all the comforts of a hotel.The washrooms are pretty basic but still they have everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. There are no fancy fittings or showering areas but bathrooms and in fact the entire property is very neat and tidy and well maintained.There is a TT table and equipment to enjoy, a small little dining area to eat your meals. A swimming pool with lounger chairs to bask in the sun. Roof top breakfast included in the stay. Small little toy room and a gym. Also a tree house, swings and bonfire/party areas.They have a few vintage cars which are attractive to look at. There are two entrances, one with the stairs and one with a ramp for the elderly.Now coming to the food, they serve an amazing lemon pickle, they have home food and also restaurant food. so it is up to the guests what kind of a meal they would like to have. Having the option of the home food is an advantage because when you stay for a few days, eating restaurant food every day is not healthy and once in a while you need the home food. Their preparation ranges between very good and average depending upon what you order. They dont have Naan but they have very soft and thin tawa rotis and parathas served with and without ghee which are really tasty to eat. On top of all this, if you want to alter the preparation to your taste, you can instruct them and they will happily prepare accordingly.The staff is very polite, courteous and helpful and always serves you with a smile. Especially one particular steward who goes by the name of Kusum. Very hard working and smiling person.There is an option of getting a taxi from the hotel which is charged as 800/- per trip but with uber and ola available, it is not much required but if there is still a need, you can request at the reception and they will arrange for that.Why i would recommend this place is that Udaipur as a city is not that easy for older folks because of its thin roads where cars cant go to all places but with such a nice place of stay, the older tourists cna enjoy the beauty while staying in the hotel itself and only visit those places which require less walking.. This place is full of positive energy and its vast lawns fill it with bright sunlight..Last but not the least, they have free parking, driver accommodation (free of charge) and drivers meals at concessional rates. Which is very helpful for those traveling with their own car and driver.All in all a very nice and worth it place for the stay...

I was recommended by my friend that if i am touring to Udaipur I should stay at Devendra garh. It is a private property owned by an advocate. Property is well maintained and it has great view of fatehsagar lake. It has only 5-7 rooms and they charge very minimal amount for stay. Staff is very co-operative. I stayed their for one night with my friends but it is still worth it.Must visit there if you have budget concerns but still want to feel like staying at resort. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

This is a very good place and deserves very good rating. Especially very good location in calm peaceful surroundings. It is exactly as you see in photographs here. Clean and neat place with courteous staff. This resort overlooking the Fatehsagar lake is great with good view. Only one small negative point: Reception man initially said, they will accept credit card, but later while making payment said 2% extra for credit card. Had he told me earlier, I would have withdrawn cash from ATM and given as no ATM nearby.

Loved our stay there. Home away frm home with true sense of hospitality. The owners give personal attention to each guest, treat us with love and warmth which is far superior thn any hotels facilities. Thy have almost all the amenities which hotels do provide plus thy have a kids room with all sort of toys which is a cherry on the cake.Very serene locationIf ever visited Udaipur again, will no doubt stay there only. Longing .....to go back

We enjoyed the stay here at the devendra garh palace. Got good room at very good rates through ibibo. We are very thankful to host Ruchika for allowing us early checkin as we arrived quite a bit before our scheduled arrival. The comp bf was good. The property is nice with lot of parking space available, good pool area. Overall, its a nice place to stay. Well definitely recommend this to others and will visit again.

I have been here with my family and believe me we are really very much delighted with experience what we have at the Devendra Garh.I have 3 yr kid and just wile welcoming owner Ruchikaji greeted my kid with colour kit which made my kid very happy and keep engaged her throughout our stay. Even at Devendra Garh they have kept children room with toys and cycle to keep your little ones engaged and happy.Devendra Garh is located at fantastic location from where you can have fabulous view of lake and mountains. While sitting in garden and having your candle light dinner at such location can be an memorable experience. Swimming pool at Hotel is neat and clean and will make pool lovers happy.Rooms are really neat and clean with all the amenities required. we stayed in Green theme room and there is fantastic sitting area having lake side view.And before concluding I would like to make a note that I have never seen such an hospitality to their guest which I have experienced at Devendra Garh.I am very much happy with my stay at Devendra Garh and appreciate hospitality and food. Thanks to Ruchikaji & Family & their Hotel Staff.Strongly Recommended.

I found this hotel to be one of the best places to have lake view. It is a beautiful haveli with small garden which has expansive view of Fateh Sagar lake. Being a haveli the rooms are spacious view outside beautiful. In addition there are swings for children to enjoy, and a nice car collection.

We got wrong booking and for the correct room we had to pay extra ₹1000.Still cooling in the room was not sufficient as a large size room had a very low capacity AC. Kids room was poorly maintained. And on the main road the sign board was not properly guiding. Even our Google Map got confused.And the warmth and friendly feeling was missing which is the most essential part of a GuesHouse.Good point was that the place has good open garden with kids playing area that our kids enjoyed.But the place is highly inaccessible for persons with walking problem. Lots of up downs, slopes, and conspicuous stairs.Morning breakfast had limited options and service was bit slow and unfriendly but food items tasted nice.

The rooms are good and airy especially with some having sea view.But rethink as the bathrooms are too dirty with leaking taps, dirty pool unkempt especially. The bathroom is too dirty to visit.A good place but lazy management. Breakfast is horrible too oily, most are fried stuff avoid it. Rather pay little more and go elsewhere.

It was a bit disappointing from this place ...but it was not as expected the room was not prepared before arrival..we literally had to ask every bit..my husband tried to close the curtain ..curtain rod came in his hand..toilet paper holder...towel holder..though it was later fixed when complained on the pretext of cleaning the room ..but we dont pay to check nails and rods in walls so you fix them then ryt?the location is wonderful...better than lake pichola ...breakfast was good.i m really in dilemma for the next visit.
